Heard that Gilman was humiliated in their scrimmage with Haverford by a score of (20 to 6). Does this MIAA, A-team even have a coach. LoL

That score is a bad look - no question - , but Haverford is a winning program in PA and McD only beat them by 5 last year. So by inferential math/guessing an appropriate prediction for Gilman vs Haverford would have been about 15-5 or so.

How long after the game ended did it take for you to write that very kind post?

Gilman is by far the worst team in the MIAA A conference.

Definitely a parent of a kid who didn’t make varsity.

Which is a completely different issue. Gilman is awful.

But hey they will get your son to Colgate.

Or someone pointing out those who did make varsity got a little bit of a wake up call. Here’s hoping for a more humbling season with good lessons in humility.

These are young adults you are talking about,
competing and doing their best. Enough with bashing kids.
Act like an adult and show a little class.

Dude. It was a scrimmage. Lighten up.

Smart coaches use scrimmages to test players, schemes, etc. Score is not only unimportant, I would never want my team to win big in the preseason.

You’re probably right but it is a day of MIAA vs WCAC matchups. Any thoughts on the Prep vs St Mary’s game ?

STM dominates possession and wears down Prep in the 2nd half.

14-9 STM

The bigger question is- Can St Marys finally beat Spalding this year? And can they avoid another playoff collapse?

Shea Kennedy is a beast, put some respect on his name. Nick golini scores at least 5 in a dominant St. Mary's victory 16-6.

The CT FOGO definitely didn't look dominant in that one, lmao. Jumbo Lump knows nothing!

C'mon. It was 10-7. SJC is a tough team and looked more athletic today. But nobody got skull dragged anywhere. SJC FOGO was a beast and had a beautiful goal. It was 9-3 going into 4th Q and then BL dominated final quarter. If they played again BL could win. Season is just starting and both teams have bright future.

Biggest surprise in the Prep/ STM game was the Faceoff dominance by Prep in a loss.

News flash: the backups got a lot of time in the 4th - SJC dominated when their starters were playing...

STM will win a lot of games but with the wild Wild West offensive just get the ball and go to the goal. Wil not work come playoff time. To many individual efforts no team ball. Attack needs to learn to share the ball. To many turnovers trying to dodge pass 2-3 defenders.

BL has a goalie problem. STJ dominated until their starters were pulled and BL made a late run.

Unless Big Tasty made that much of a difference in the cage for St. John's, it appears the problem is more on the offensive end of the field.

Think you are giving too much credit for the borders.

FOGO and Attackman committed to UNC are the real deal and several additions at middie. Defense is legit; not sure about the goalie.

The goalie is there, hopefully they give him the job!

What he said!!!!^^^^ give him a shot. This isn’t the Crabs.

The fact you made that statement shows how little you should talk. Yes, BT is that good.

injury or no injury what is odd is that USA Magazine ranked BL with other non boarding schools. They are beginning to board many athletes including lacrosse players (CT fogo) and they should not be ranked. They are becoming similar to taft deerfield salisbury etc . . . Once you have boarders you should not be ranked in the USA rankings. Inside lax - yes bc they include all schools but it is silly that they are considered solely a "day" school. and if they rank BL then they should just rank ALL schools.

SJC is located in a Washington DC.

Best in DC, not MD or VA.
