Chainbridge is not part of Madlax, sore lost. It's just a group of friends from ML (largest % of team), NL, BLC and others. Also includes A and B team players.
Too bad u can't handle a loss in what I thought was a great game. what was the mixture of 2028's and 2027's?

Any recommendations for a summer lacrosse camp (Day or Overnight). Apex, Aces, First In Class, National ID, etc.? Apex: Primarily games. "PLL players will coach them" but no disclosure of who. Not a huge need for PR/visibility for MD players. EXPENSIVE Aces: Primarily drills and small sided games, with 10v10 at end of each day. Good coaching, led by BL coach. MD camp is in Towson, beltway traffic is a pain from DC/Annapolis. EXPENSIVE. FCL: Completely drills and small sided games. Very good coaching when the FCL adult staff is around, not so much when the random MIAA HS kids are "coaching" (aka on their phones). EXPENSIVE USNA: Still haven't done this one, and we live in Annapolis lol. May go this year. Nike: (McDaniels or Gettysburg): Still haven't done this one. Not going this year. Nationals "Camp" (NC?): Unnecessarily complex drills, but well coached and extremely high speed. Cost is moderate. Would go back. Team 18 Camp/Tryouts: Like Nationals but weirder vibe. No sense that they enjoy having the kids there. Most expensive camp aside from IMG. IMG: Wish I could tell you! Thank you. I didn’t ask the question, but this was actually helpful.

Lot of them go to middle school together.

Chainbridge Allstars took the 'ship in OT. Very intense game. 6ers is fun Chainbridge coach was a complete clown. Didn't know the rules and was constantly chirping. Madlax must go out of their way to find these guys. This post likely from the clown who was the disgruntled Hawks dad who was wearing Uggs that matched his wife’s and couldn’t stop screaming the entire game until his kid suffered his second defeat of the day. Finally shut his mouth at that point. You know who you are. Dude, you were wearing Ugg’s!!! No self respecting man would be caught in Uggs ??? Sure it was a man ?

I miss from pre 9-11 when they called the commercials "real american heroes".......chef's kiss. But also a heads up - since I know most of the Hawks and ML dads only see their kids every other weekend, the private school HS lax players are all wearing ugg boots to school, football games, etc these days. Seems weird and I would never wear them, but apparently they are the popular thing.

Full disclosure, it might have been the FCA kid’s dad, not the hawks… pretty interchangeable either way. The dude and his wife had matching tan Uggs, like the one my 6th grade daughter used to wear to the mall.

I heard they weren't this year's version, meaning he probably bought them in spring or early summer 2021 so these are holdback Uggs. I realize there's no official rule against this, but it's obviously bad for the integrity of the sport.

Is it true that the Uggs were actually from Texas? The Crocs could not be happy they were replaced by out of towners.

5 Divisions listed for HoCo. Probably 8 teams per division. 91 replaces Kelly Post in Elite and will get whooped. AAA should be evenly matched with all 8 teams.

They are deeper and better offensive personnel. And they are more cohesive.

Somehow 91 beat the Hawks….I didn’t see that one, but that’s definitely a big win. I commend Team MD dads for wanting to move up. In the past, teams fought to move down.

Is it a foregone conclusion that 91 will move up over team maryland? Team MD doesn't have 1 elite player on their roster....facts! Most of the elite teams only have 8-10 elite players on their rosters - unpopular facts! I've been one to point out that the 2nd and 3rd line of most elite teams in MD/DC look a whole lot like the starters of AAAA/AAA teams. I know that is somehow insulting but it's true. However in the case of Team MD, 91, FCA White, VLC, Blue Claws, KP (RIP) and so on, while the above is kinda true, those teams all lack an elite/dominant player who is really able to take over a game. ML, Hawks, FCA Blue, even Crabs have at least one if not more. That's the big problem I see with BLC, 91, Team MD playing in Elite this year.

I agree with much of the commentary but there is more… FOGO and goalie play are very important. Let’s break it down.. ML definitely has a kid very tough to stop on offense (we all know who), but they also have a very good defense….probably the best defensive midfield group around and the whole defense plays aggressive and recovers well. Hawks have fire power on offense and the best goalie-FOGO combo. FCA probably moves the ball the best on offense, very well coached, good close defense, and the new additions are impressive. NL doesn’t have any big holes in their team, well coached, and have a couple elite offensive threats. Crabs has a good defense, big midfielder that can create offense, and the new players on attack are very athletic.

Hearing the age-based HOCO intel discussed on the thread a few weeks ago is complete BS. What are you hearing? 1. I heard it was discussed at length. Lots of noise about what the outcome of the discussion was. 2. HoCo put out its 2023 rules without age-based stipulations. So there is that. 3. They could theoretically change their rules, but the elite club directors would whine bigly about it, as they'd have 100 days or less to re-configure their teams to age-based. There are numerous holdbacks in the current 2029 and 2030 classes, so it's not just about 2028s and 2027s. If anything, I could see HoCo adding an early warning that Spring 2024 will be age based. But I do not recommend holding your breath for that. And then the 2028s will be in HS, 90 days after 2024 Hoco ends. Well, those who don't holdback for a 2nd 8th grade year.
