I’ve I’m accurate, according to the post on Instagram there will be 20 teams in the north Qualifier
10 from Long Island
Venom/Express
Legacy/Rush/S2S/Rebels
Igloo A/Surge/BTB/Igloo B
The Non LI teams are tough to gauge as they have to be age appropriate
Boston Blue Jays/2way/Express North
Prime time/Cavalry/91 Tristate
Albany Power/Tristate/Orange Crush/Predators
The east qualifiers is certainly lacking Md teams
There will be good competition there though with BBL and Freedom

91 Tri-state would be in the North qualifier. Tri-State is a separate program from NJ so they would be in the East qualifier.
Last year they took roughly half the teams from each qualifier. Who are the 9 or 10 from the North that will make it?
The top 5 you listed above look like automatics - Venom, LIE, 2W, EN, and the Blue Jays based on what they've done this fall.
It's likely only 4 or 5 of these teams make it. Who's in and who's out? Legacy/Rush/S2S/Rebels/Prime time/Cavalry/91 Tristate

Texas Nationals 2028 have almost all kids too old for WS. Their 2027 WS team did nothing because they had to play with the 2028 kids due to age ineligibility.

Madlax Capital is a joke. They lost this fall a number of games to lesser opponents and then retroactively changed their team name in those tournaments (NAL and Adrenaline Gold Cup) to "Madlax Monuments" so it wouldn't affect their summer rankings. Class act there.

Totally. That kid is huge. Good thing is he will peak early as well and you don't get better playing against younger and lesser players.

Agree. How bout play a real sport like football. Almost none of these lacrosse "studs" could compete at a high level in a sport that actually requires supreme athleticism.

I curious to see how 2way and EN do without their holdbacks
If 5 teams go from the North my guess would be Venom, Express, Boston, Legacy and the 5th could be between EN, 2Way, Rush, S2S, Rebels
Tristate got beat by Surge pretty handily, so that’s a bit of a stretch

Schedules will be another big variable Last year 9 teams qualified from north. And although everyone will moan about the schedules 1 of best aspects of the qualifier is that you can lose multiple games and still play your way in. So no matter what your “schedule” you will get a pretty fair shake

Venom parent joins the chat. There are better teams out there. Especially taking away some of those holdback defenders and the midfielder. Game over for you guys in the WS Who has a better on age team than venom? Ive heard they all won’t qualify age wise but most of the team will right? What about Legacy? They have an ineligible player or 2

World Series is using: Player Authenticate Big whoop. Who makes sure the kids on the field that day are legit? The problem with player auth. is they can verify on computer all they want but unless the refs on the field check the day of its useless.

A lot can be done to prevent cheating. In many instances opposing teams know the kids who currently are older so they wouldn’t get away with it if people know them. Authentication is a great first step. Coaches, tournament directors, ref’s can all play a part in keeping people from cheating. If you are caught cheating tournament directors can ban players, coaches and teams in future tournaments as well. There’s a ton of things that can be done, hopefully this is a first step towards age based lacrosse. Many other sports have age based sports without issue. Lacrosse can do it too.

If you are caught cheating then that organization loses its privilege to be in world series of lacrosse for next two years and also obviously loses its title or whatever place they finished in for the current year. That will make those think twice before cheating... let them have to tell their youngers kids on deck what they did

National teams are so lopsided. Is it age or just some teams are all in and others just in it? Holdbacks vs on age teams. The holdbacks win. Don't bother spending your time and $ on this event unless you are a holdback.

Don't bother spending your time and $ on this event unless you are a holdback. Save your $ on National teams. Most of the big clubs don’t have national teams nor do they need them. They were created for kids in states with no real good competition to play against better teams. Northeast doesn’t have that problem. If you attend one of these tournaments you will quickly see there are plenty of holdbacks and kids who just play down in grade. When some of the local teams can beat their own National team you know it’s just a waste of time and money.

There are no national teams that are considered top teams, at any grade level. Team 91 use theirs for small markets, to give decent players the opportunity to play with other decent (not great) players. They don’t allow players from their Long Island based teams to play on the national team. Absolutely save your money.

And to pay holiday travel prices? Also take a look at which tournament the program entered them in these past few days. Skipped the Florida one they played in last year and went to Texas where guess who created their own Club World Championship and no one showed up?
