You know who thinks fall wins and losses don't matter? The teams that lose in the fall.

Ha..learn the game.. checking in and out of the 8m is called good defense. We can revisit this so called trouble at the end of the summer.

You don’t even need to leave the 8M just get into a sticks length. I watched multiple games, they were moving enough, Refs there wouldn’t track and got away with it often.

Not a foul if refs don’t see it, including the checks to the head.

Love when I read, "I watched multiple games" So either you are a disgruntled parent on the team, a stalker, a scout or a liar. Are there many professional scouts watching 8th graders these days?? Hmmm

You know lots of parents watch other games when their daughters aren't playing. Beats vaping in the parking lots like dads of a certain LI club

Wins and losses in the summer don't matter either. Club is about developmen, visibility, and exposure to top competition. Wins and losses matter at the high school varsity level.

While it it is great for girls to win and get an occasional backpack, if that is your club director's first priority, then find a new club.

Nobody quit mid season last year

What top level team is known for that? None that I've seen (Aces, YJ, TG, Jesters). Nor should it be at the top level.

YJ had close to even PT at Lax for the Cure. Not sure if it was intentional or not since none of the games were close.

Yes, sometimes the competition or lack thereof allows for more even PT. Certainly the case for
YJ in that tourney.

YJ and FLG, both dominate lower level teams this fall but no big wins.

Great question. What are people’s thoughts on equal playing time in 8th grade 2027 summer tournaments? Are we past it at this level? Should parents be able to complain for top level teams or just expect the better players to see the field more.

And since when is Top Guns a top level team in 2027? They seem to play well against lower competition, but seem to struggle against the better teams. Jesters Black really seems to be on the right trajectory playing well as a team and showing they can compete with anyone.

At the highest level of 8th grade you will certainly not see equal playing time. That's why they are top teams. Equal playing time is seen more in the B and C levels.

More equitable playing time starts around 10th grade for top teams.

TG didn’t lose to the YJS 3rd team. YLJ Stadoer who they played is the ylj’s A team. Maybe do some research before posting fake news.

They lost to YJ A team 8-4, but also beat MD united who beat the YJ team. TG 27 team is not deep but a good squad. It hurt missing 2 top middies this weekend. Its fall see you in the spring, but get your facts straight.

Not completely true.. are college coaches watching the number 90 ranked team or the top 10? Are those same coaches forming relationships with bottom or top clubs? Rankings do matter.

Rankings matter as the better teams will be playing the better teams in tournaments and showcases. You can still get noticed and recruited from your high school but coaches all showing up on the sideline of a matchup of top teams at a tournament is a lot easier.

A lot of early fall chatter on where LI teams would rank. Overall it looks like a few LI clubs met those expectations. Looking forward to the summer.

Jesters really took a leap from last fall to this fall.

A YJ vs Jesters matchup would be fun to see. Hopefully FLG can get into more top brackets in big tournaments.

Interesting, as Jesters is ranked above them. Wonder if that was tight and then fell off late or if YJ controlled the game.

The method of rankings many times does not make any logical sense especially during fall ball.

Rankings didn’t include the game. That tourney never reported it’s scores. Rankings only really matter at the end of the year. Too many games in spring to change them.

Plenty of games to change rankings, but for most part, it matches generally last's year end of season rankings. It honestly is pretty accurate imo. Some teams get bumped up beating up on weak teams. A few games a little skewed because they were 22 min long playoff games, and just couldn't have the margin of victory.

Jesters is all talk no actions. Club is falling apart at it’s seems with unhappy families at every age group. Stop bragging about yourself on an anonymous forum and work on fixing your issues first

Where is the bragging? Unhappy families? That's everywhere, every club and in every facet of life. But thank you for bringing attention to it YJ parent.

To be fair, the 27 and 28s teams are much happier with club than older teams. Completely agree that 23-25 teams were a complete S$#@ show.

Sorry that you’re not happy over at mommy and daddy ball, I’m sure we will be getting more great players from the bench that the coaches won’t play.

Falling apart? Their results (team's success, tryout turnouts etc.) show otherwise...should be more concerned that you are commenting about another club. You clearly must be unhappy with your own. But let's not forget, every year every family has a choice as to where they play.
