Legacy and S2S both went 3-0 in pool play. Legacy beat S2S 6-5 for the championship. Legacy and S2S both went 3-0 in pool play. Legacy beat S2S 6-5 for the championship. javascript:quickReply(399003,1,0) Did S2S improve that much or Legacy not that good? S2S was not a top team the past few years at this age group. Any thoughts (not bashing)?

S2S added a few pieces. FO guy, 2 Venom kids and a kid that played up is back on grade. A few other additions. Improved, in the mix for third best LI with a few other teams-well documented on here.

Wow, an actual post with relevant information. Informative and accurate without bashing a particular team. Shocking on here lately. And yes S2S is in the mix for the number 3 spot on Long Island, but most likely a player or two away from it.

Thanks Venom insider for that clarification. To all on the forum, we can now assume S2S got weaker this year by adding the Venom castoffs.

That is because their training isn't game changing. So instead of developing an athlete it is easier to poach and bring someone in. You rarely hear of B-Level player moving up at 91. Once your on their B team they got your $ and that is it.

Correct. 91 has the name and cache so they can just poach kids that someone else developed.

Correct. 91 has the name and cache so they can just poach kids that someone else developed. All the top orgs do the same thing, let the parents spend money on player development either thru camps or private training, coaches in these orgs are not here to develop players they get paid to "coach". and every one of these top orgs have the same open door policy and are always looking for the next player in.

Sorry to say but the only way Surge can grow is if they leave the 91 organization. They are a very talented team. Join another organization that is struggling to form a A/AA team and become their “AA” team. Otherwise they will all ways be the “B” team.

Maybe the teams such as the rebels, turtles and other similar to those do.

Express north only has one game that will challenge them this weekend. Who makes these schedules Express North also has the early games so how many "AA" players hang to play with the "A" team. Same goes for Igloo "AA". 2 Way "AA" not playing in tournament but assume the "A" team will be stacked with "AA" players.

With no playoffs or championship game maybe the schedulers can have teams of equal ability play so the kids can get better ......... but what would all the clown dads do without a $1 tee shirt pounding their chests?

Other clubs have insider pricing for certain guys on the team.

It's like airline seat pricing, almost everyone on the plane has paid a different amount for their ticket-same with travel lacrosse based on the position you play, (goalie, F/o) or perceived value to the team or to entice you to come over. I can't say all clubs, because haven't been to all, but all clubs that I am familiar with it is the case.

Get some run in for your starters, get new kids working in the mix and play bench kids. Player use this weekend vs NLF finals in July will be totally different.

It’s not like there’s a championship bracket so why waste time puts top teams against each other. Express north, express chucks and venom should be playing each other.

Agree who wants to get slaughtered or beat a team 12-3 Nobody is benefiting. Play teams with similar abilities. Shame on these coaches/ directors for not speaking up for their teams.

No thanks - it’s been widely discussed the B teams take a backseat to the A teams. 91 23 B team is no exception.

If you enter your team in the AA bracket you re stating they can compete at that level. Therefore, that bracket is fine. If your son’s team gets crushed in the AA bracket then that’s on the coaches and directors for entering then in as an AA squad.

2 Way really doing the holdback routine like a Maryland team? Seeing multiple 2027's on their 28 team...Like currently in 8th grade but saying they will graduate HS in 2028 with the current 7th graders. Is this how "holdbacks" works? And no, I don't know who any of these kids are but my son does... I know some of the private schools (brunswick most notably) want you to stay back but thought that happened in 9th grade??
