Leading Edge certainly got better, but not on the Venom/Express level
GSB dominated the B bracket, they added a few good players
I’m guessing wolves will head back to b brackets after their showing, losing 12-1 to Surge is a bad look for their “top team”
Surge furthered their place in the pack by winning big vs teams they should beat and losing big to top teams

Thoughts on the circuit -
It was a well run tournament. Kids seemed to have a blast.
The competition was a bit lopsided. There were some extremely overmatched teams who should reevaluate everything. However there really was a broad selection of terrific talent from all over the country.
Regarding age - with them moving the age to 6/1 and then allowing exceptions to allow the really old kids to play, AND the fact that no one seemed to check anything, I’m comfortable saying the “fair and safe” play.
Whatever. It’s club lacrosse. It’s how it is. Carry on. Agree, it was well run and kids had fun. Something as simple as the starters walking out and shaking hands was a good gesture. Never felt rushed like many tournaments do to stay on time. The competition was lopsided at times. I think a rude awakening for teams that threw together random kids and held a single practice earlier in the day. I'd anticipate both the number of teams and quality of play to be bigger and better next year. Circuit did a good job as far as location, media, pre Game Center field meeting etc. kids had fun. But with that said nobody verifies anything. Any kid could have showed up and played nobody asked to verify roster. So while they asked for birth certificates and report cards and I’m sure teams had rosters that were verified online, in person is another story they were definitely older kids on those teams.

Pretty sure none of the clubs list their teams as A or B on their websites. But you know that already clearly just trying to take shots at the kids on certain teams. Carry on [Censored].

It’s not the same GSB as last spring they probably picked up at least 8 new players and we’re not talking kids that picked up the stick for the first time this summer. Their main close Dman is out with a football injury but now he’s got some legit backup.. Watched them play a couple games and they are making all the right plays but a second to slow… it they can work plays all winter and build some muscle memory they are definitely going to give Surge a workout. Their new second goalie is solid as well. Their going to run into Surge at some point this spring or summer. Should be some good lacrosse.

As a GSB parent, I assure you that this is not the opinion. They have improved but are not going to beat Surge, but they will be one of the top b teams. There is a huge divide between Aa an B

Top B Teams are Legacy Dune Dawgs, Igloo Frost, GSB
Top A Teams are Surge and Hydra
Top AA Teams are Venom, Express and maybe Legacy

2nd year GSB parent here... not saying they are the team to beat but you guys are comparing last years team that lost to Surge and TV at that same tournament to the current team, its not the same team. No, they are not going to beat Rush or Surge but they can't just run up 10 plus goals on other B teams, they are gonna have to take some lumps. They need to play the DD, igloo and red wolves before thinking about stepping up to Surge and Rush (Adrenaline plowed them over last fall). I don't think the other parents have have delusions of grandeur, it a solid group of young athletes having fun together, playing their hearts out for those two coaches and pushing to get better. Yeah, I'm a Hypeman... Ok....back to the general ranting about holdbacks, the Rebels and how good Venom is..... Carry on.....

Rush is a AA team, but not a top one. If you want to put them into the A category then Rebels are not a top A team because that game was not competitive

You people are absolutely pathetic on an anonymous board. You put down these clubs and the 12 year olds that play for them. This game is for fun. Who cares if you play on an a or aa or b team. Is your son getting better? Is your son having fun? Is your son making friends and memories? If not, you are failing your own child. You are obsessed with a, b, and aa. Sorry to break the news but little Johnny is not getting a full ride to a D1 school. Take the 3k every year you would pay into club lacrosse and invest with an 8% return and there is your sons scholarship. All the teams you mention on here are coached very well and deserve respect. Teach your kids respect and how to work hard. That will take them further than any lacrosse team will. Come on here to discuss what games are being played, who won, and how the tournament went. Who cares if Igloo Frost joins Octoberfest. Good for them. Go out, play hard, and have fun!!! Don't sit at work during the day comparing whose club is better. Talk about how all of our money fund the owners lavish lifestyles and how we were too notIntelligent 10 years ago to think of this.
