I think they are joking about the players coming to M&D……. Not joking. A hero , sw , a girl from Colorado and 2 red players added to roster. 5 unhappy ex black players now. Those 5 are now M&D red? It is a tough world in premier lacrosse because I assume those 5 will not get a shot at the 25 black team again unless a girl drops?

They should look to switch teams. You do not have to be Red. Go to another team not sure which 5 but if 3 go somewhere else I am sure they would help another team. Girls should switch more not less. These clubs have zero loyalty you should follow suit. Leave, call around, do others still have tryouts, try somewhere else. Ridiculous that there are still games to be played and girls are cut.

Cuts will be made Monday ! So being loyal to a player that hasn’t improved is better than putting her down on the second team where she can play? You must think tournament wins and t shirts will help get your daughter to a top school. I do agree parents should look around for the best place to play.

When are rosters updated? Tired of reading all of this fake news!!! M&D generally updates quickly, although I wonder if it has/will change under new ownership. Hero's generally posts next, then SW. Not sure about the other clubs.

No big movers on M&D, Skywalkers and Hero’s. A couple of B team players making moves.

Did any team have a more successful season than mnd black? Yes - Yellow Jackets ! What did they win again ? Won't know which team is more successful until next fall and summer when recruiting starts. That's the real measurement of success.

Well they are ranked first, followed by Steps, M&D, Skywalkers and Hero’s….. And those ranking are correct ? In my opinion winning championships with top teams means more than showcase wins. They didn’t win L4C , US nationals or Md Cup.

Stop with the whining. Coaches selected great teams at both age groups. Ask those they participated and I bet they will say they had a great weekend. Never a team is selected to 100% satisfaction of all the parents. Good luck next time making the team.

The A team didn’t gel at first and an early loss rocked them. The B team was plagued by selfish play.

Maryland coaches were the only ones who played the entire team. Most coaches only played 15-16 girls.
Kudos to the coaches who used the event as the showcase which is what it is.

Not a showcase. No coaches watching 25 age group. It was a tournament and Under Armour got the best 25 players and goalie. The AS girls got a great experience at the beach with friends.

Draw seemed to be an issue this year at AS. UA did not play all the players equally. Plays were for 2 or 3 girls who did all the scoring in the last 2 games. 8 points out of 11 for one player

Maryland UA team was talented, but they also didn't play the top girls from each region, most of the top girls form other regions participated in AS.

Watch the UA final again. One girl had 7 goals but scored many different ways. All played in every game I do know that. Again it was a tournament to win not a showcase. The best players played and played against quality teams in playoffs. Ask the top kids at American select if they were happy playing equal with lower level kids and losing !!

------ Not a showcase. No coaches watching 25 age group. It was a tournament and Under Armour got the best 25 players and goalie. The AS girls got a great experience at the beach with friends. ------ Yes. there were coaches watching. Not as nearly as many as 24s, but there were coaches for the big matchups. Duke, Syracuse and Michigan were all there for Maryland Red / Long Island game.
Also, once you hit summer after freshman year, every game is effectively a showcase -- performance is more important than winning.

You are delusional. Coaches were not recruiting 25 class. And 100% a tournament. The coaches want to see the best players win and not all are equal. I bet your kid was one of the bottom 3 on roster and lucky to be there. You will be the one complaining in a year that your daughter is high D1 but coach didn’t showcase her to be seen.

If you want to win this tournament you need to select all your own club kids like the Grizzlies , Monster or a couple others do.

If you want to win this tournament you need to select all your own club kids like the Grizzlies , Monster or a couple others do. So true. CT teams were basically the Grizzlies and NJ Teams , Steps. CT ended up winning in two age groups. However, the 24s put themselves in the “B” bracket of the tourney for an easy trip to the finals! I believe Steps did as well? That’s not fair. The AS directors know who is who and should not allow that. Cheapens their event.

But the sheep still show up in masses to pay for this event. The directors do the same for their teams at every tournament key run.

the 25 DC-VA was almost completely Capital Lacrosse, you could see on the field that regions with a majority of single club players were much better off

You kidding? Shoulberg , Rose and Lindley run this event and they will do what they want with their teams to get them thru.

Same can be said for the UA Baltimore team. They had at least 7 or 8 M&D players with 2 of the coaches being from M&D

None of the command coaches had any of their club kids on it. Former M&D coach is at Integrity now. 3 best players were from 3 separate clubs and all played lights out. Very unselfish.
