I have not seen them play this fall, but I did hear that a handful of the top True Annapolis 2029 players went to Hawks and Prostart. Again just what I heard.

Anyone who's in a club leadership or coaching position needs to look at what True did "with" (to) Koopers to see what the "True partnership" process really is. Koopers was a great club full of 2nd and 3rd line MIAA kids and some public school starters. Well run, non-elite club that struggled at the end with coaching commitments and field availability, but all involved really cared about the players and their success. True steps in (Day 1): Hey Koopers families, we're partnering with True, to make sure you have plenty of available fields and backup coaches for when we're in a pinch. We won't change anything else! And it's being run by True National, not True Baltimore! It's all about resources for the players. Day 30: All Koopers tryouts signups are through True Baltimore website (not True National) Day 60: True informs Koopers families that their new name is "True Baltimore Black" with no logo or reference to Koopers Day 90: No former Koopers coaches listed on True website

Teams that are on the fence typically play fall tournaments, and probably the early spring tournaments, before making final decisions. HOCO league also has a say in the matter.

Until this past summer, the younger teams (29-31) and I think the 2026s were still KP True. Now the experiment is over, thankfully.

Will be interesting to see how HOCO 2029 Elite shakes out this spring. In previous years HOCO seemed to allow more teams in the elite division if they were deserving as long as they had an even amount of teams. Last year, for the first time I can remember, HOCO took a hard stance and didn't allow more than 8 teams in the division at any age group. If you look at what they did for the 2026 division, they had more than 8 teams wanting to be in "elite" and they ended up having a one day play day between 3 teams for the final 8th spot. Here are last years standings:
2029 HOCO 1. Madlax (6-1) ***Elite Champion 2. Hawks (7-0) 3. Next Level (5-2) 4. VLC See (3-4) 5. Bethesda Blue (3-4) 6. True Annapolis (3-4) 7. LTLC (1-6) 8. 91 MD (0-7)
9. FCA (7-0) ****AAA Champion 10. Team Maryland (6-1)
So looks like LTLC and 91 MD might considering bumping down and if not would defintiely be in the hunt for those last 2 spots. FCA would certainly want to move up and maybe Team Maryland? Should be interesting to see how it shakes out. My prediction..........Madlax, Hawks, Next Level, VLC, Bethesda, True Annapolis, FCA, and LTLC.

LTLC lost some talent including a reclass to 2030. 91 lost their entire team to Predators a year ago and apparently replaced it with....nothing. Both need to go down to AAA. Don't think Millon will allow 91 to drop, though. "Our club's identity is elite." I think it's a pretty solid bet that both Team MD and FCA can hold their own (.500 ish) in Elite. Maybe BLC will drop as someone else suggested.

FCA will catch up in the next year or so as they will be the only real elite option in Baltimore and kids probably will consolidate. Crabs remain a non factor until the 28s all holdback next year.

Will be interesting to see if CRABS will ever break through at the 2029 level. FCA is good as well.

The Crabs had plenty of talent to break through before Coach Vanilla Ice cut most of the team, and the return players' parents said no thanks (aside from Mini Vanilla Ice). FCA will beat LTLC with a hand tied behind their back. Will not even be close. And the players from Forest Hill were cut by FCA, so there's that. How many LTLC 2029 kids reclassed to 2030 this summer? It's not zero.

So funny where people get heir information. FCA lost players to other clubs. LTLC hasn’t changed much. Crabs is still a hot mess. Predators and the “new” koopers are well new. XNuz

From what I have heard, LTLC has added some new studs that will help take them to the top 4 in the elite division and also provide needed depth. We will see I guess.....

Hears an idea in the hoco league if you are the top team in you group then you move up to the lowest division in the next year. Then if you place last playing up u move down the following year. If you don’t finish last you stay. Competition builds better players. If you can handle that play then u stay. This allows for an equally playing field for skill levels. Just a thought.

FCA had a couple 30's play up last year that are going to play on the 2030 team this year. They did not lose anyone material to their success. They upgraded at goal tender and attack. I would fully expect them to improve on last years performance.

LTLC has peaked. It was a nice run but by the next season the actually elite level kids will leave.
Kelly Post 2.0 at the 2029 level.
That said I’m rooting for LTLC.

Basing it on prior year makes sense but you have to factor in other things too. You could finish first in your division and lose kids to another club, given situations like that I think you have to use multiple data points. The first is prior year but then factor in fall tourney results too, that would help to Validate that team is still trending up versus flat or even a decline.

True there are factors to consider. I feel that this really brings out the best of the best. Fall tournaments are tough to include because the teams might be different because of fall sports. I am speaking specifically of the hoco league. The holdbacks would really be able to be assessed for their skills by playing up. I have heard of one player that is playing up 2 years and is holding his own quit well. Playing up has made him so much better. Rather than being held back.

Crabs will be strong and more than likely team to beat in next year or two. Count on it.
Predators while being the talk of Baltimore will be a Top 5 this year and better next year.
Next few years the Top will be ML, Crabs, Predators, Hawks and possibly NL ...The rest lets get real.
