USCL is awful. They have no clue other than what a few directors send them.

Yes except US club rankings are a joke. Look at the rankings in the 23 age group. Skywalkers beat YJ and goes on to win Lax for the cure and are ranked behind a YJ team that hasn’t won a thing this summer. The rankings don’t mean anything if you can’t back it up on the field.

Listen up first kid parents. Rankings don't mean anything. Made up by some 20 year old intern. Tourney titles don't mean anything. Soon enough your competition becomes your teammates. Top showcases only take a few kids from the team. When college coaches come and watch do you think they care who wins? The come to see specific kids promoted by the club coaches and watch for 10 minutes and move on. How many girls on your team can get recommended for Under Armor? Or to any top college? 3-5? maybe.

Rankings mean nothing. Completely agree.

I also have a 2022 and it does matter to be on a top team in the top bracket. My daughter was not top 5 on her team but her team was a top 5 team and there were tons of coaches at her games which really helped to get her recruited. The fields in lower brackets had few coaches. The coaches go to the fields with the most recruits and if she'd been on a lower ranked team, top coaches would not have gone out of their way to watch her but she was noticed playing against top competition.

Let your kid play where they’re happy and can develop.

That being said. There are levels of competitive teams. You need to find what is good for you. More importantly you need to find a place that’s good for your kid. Parents get crazy, very few kids will get heavily recruited.

Almost every kid that plays travel competitively can play in college. Doesn’t mean they’ll get anything to do it.

There’s a few good travel clubs on LI. Depends on year for how competitive they are. Within the next year they will all be set for the most part.

If your kid can play, she will be found. Doesn't matter if they play on #5 or #40. If your kid is on a team like Beast, obviously then its up to the kid to go to schools and impress the coaches that way. If you are on a program that is well established then your kid still has to perform. Much easier to get noticed at a school event then hope your kid impresses a coach that is watching a game for ten minutes where you will only touch a ball four or five times if you are lucky.

Which tournament is that?

They also have played in Lax by The Sea, Lax for the Cure, Summer Genesis and will be playing in Youth Nationals and Summer Club Championships....what's your point....get lost

MD cup with flg, heros, steps ca is hardly a c team tourney

They are playing a 2028 team this weekend. That’s a C tournament. And they did not play in Lax by the Sea, so get your facts straight.

They played in Live Love Lax not Lax by the Sea but either one far from a C tournament

TG will be just fine despite YJA blowing smoke on this forum. Won’t lose any girls to them either. Will be a thorn in their side for the next few years.

I heard a few parents talking about it, I don't know or think it's true. I definitely don't see a reason for a break up if it is true.

YJ smells blood in the water

In the upcoming tryouts I think there will be lots of movement to FLG. Top guns will probably get more girls too. As for YJ i do not think they are going to get a lot of new girls, maybe just keep the same roster. FLG next year looks promising. I expect the team to be deeper.

Maybe FLG will gain enough talent to actually sign up to play A Division teams instead of hiding in the lower brackets.

YJ getting new kids…..people always want to move up.

All movement will first go to YJA. Leftovers will be divided all over as always. 🌹

Man, this YJ poster is still bitter about the butt whoopin FLG gave Stadler at an A tourney this summer. FLG is playing TG Steps CA and possibly Heros green again next week. The real question is YJ dad, why can’t you find something positive to say about having competition on Long Island for your 13 year old daughter? You put both YJ teams, FLG, TG, Jesters Black, Tradition and Legacy in a Long Island tourney and it would be very competitive. Instead, like sheep, let’s just all hop in our gas guzzlers, head to MD, spend 600 bucks on hotels and play the same teams over and over again!

What happened to Elevate’s 27 team? They were terrible last year but would enter tourneys. Have not seen them anywhere.

Folded - those girls went all over Jesters, TG, FLG and Liberty

TG won’t get new girls if they hear the way the coach treats them. Watch and listen to a game before your send your girls to that team.

All coaches are tough but he’s degrading. Stay away.

Girls are not going to YJ. Are we sure there're the best on the island. FLG and TGA are close behind (flg mostly) FLG is in good tournaments now and that list will grow. FLG looks to be a even bigger threat then this year next year. YJ has problems anywhere, bad coaching, girls not playing, FLGs problem is roster size, which is going to grow and now FLG is playing competitively. What's the point in playing in good tournaments if you are not playing, as we know FLG is playing in good tournaments and definitely playing their girls.
