Where is FCA MD this summer? Haven’t seen them at any tourneys.
And USCL rankings are very important . . . For marketing.

Very fair. Only other team that I think could make a legit argument for top 10 is Laxachusetts. I could argue that the 2 Express teams have had better summers than NL and FCA, but they are all very close.

NL had guest players in Hershey so stop with all this. You bring guest players to Hershey? This stuff is comical. NL was missing 4 starters in Hershey so other kids, on their HoCo roster, had the chance to play. Huh? How many kids are on the NextLevel HoCo roster but not their normal summer roster? I thought that HoCo teams, especially good ones, generally stay intact for the summer.

The entire complaint is comical....to be this wound up about guest players in 6th grade. Wait until you see 9th grade summer tourneys. If your team has no guest players, you'll be in the minority.......or on somebody's B team.

Give it a break NL dad. You're not higher because you can't beat anyone else on that list. NL and FCA should not be on this list at all. What top 10 teams have they beaten this summer? Zero combined. Wake me up when you get a significant win outside of HOCO. Congrats on being top 10 in your region. If you want to be top 10 in the country you need to beat some good teams from outside your region.

NL plays B level tournaments. Aside from their FO, goalie and 1 pole, they are a B level team. Attack is beyond weak, defense is serviceable and middies are decent.

Now that the season is over, time to start the rebuild or reload movement. Hearing 3-4 starters from Hawks moving over to FCA, not their 3 rising 8th grade attack either. That will bump down or force a few starters out of FCA. Also hear the holdback movement has begun for Crabs which will force them to new teams as well. KP will be finding new teams to tryout for. Team 91 looking to have a roster of 30 kids with dad ball coaches. Any other gossip?

Questions on the MadLax vs. NextLevel debate:
(1) is it true that NextLevel has never beat a top 10 team, other than local teams, such as MadLax itself and FCA?
(2) NextLevel lost in HoCo to Hawks by just one (10-9), but MadLax lost by Hawks by four (9-5) - does that count for something? IF Hawks are indeed #1 in the country, a one goal loss would seem to justify NextLevel as a top ten team;
(3) Speaking of Hawks, how did they lose their final regular season game to Crabs, and their playoff game to FCA? Were both games flukes, or are Hawks no longer deserving of #1 in the country?
(4) How many top 10 teams has MadLax beaten in the last year or so?
(5) How did NextLevel hang 15 goals on MadLax in a playoff game, especially if NextLevel's attack is suspect? That is a huge number of goals for two sixth grade teams that are relatively evenly matched. Serious question - were the goals in transition, EMO, how did they happen?
(6) If MadLax Dads are honest with yourselves, does Cabell's coaching hurt the team? If (as you say) MadLax is more talented and more worthy of national ranking than NextLevel, how has NextLevel managed to win head to head fairly consistently? In the games I have seen, Cabell's screaming at the refs has cost the team calls, and screaming at the kids has made them tighten up and not play their best. Would you admit that is a factor?
(7) one of the prior posts dissected the NL roster, but doesn't the MadLax roster have its own weaknesses - face offs, goaltending, and lack of depth at midfield? They seem to rely awfully heavily on one player.
(8) any chance of players moving between the two teams at summer tryouts? That could be a game changer!

NL had guest players in Hershey so stop with all this. You bring guest players to Hershey? Who cares. NL lost, Hawks Lost, ML lost, Crabs Lost, true Annapolis lost, BLC lost, FCA didn’t play but if they did they would have lost too. Haaa. Truth. Folks, these are just kids. They’re all gonna lose games while you all lose your minds. Everyone stop pounding your chests for a minute.

Fairly sad showing at NL Tryouts tonight. No one to make them better. I’m sure they prob lose a player or two— so theoretically they’ll get worse after this summers tryouts. NL peaked it seems. Crappy summer for them- 6-7 tough losses.
Also silly when there’s still a major tourney left on some teams calendars. Lots more tryouts in the coming weeks NL kids (and parents)- come join a winner.

NL plays B level tournaments. Aside from their FO, goalie and 1 pole, they are a B level team. Attack is beyond weak, defense is serviceable and middies are decent. Of the 15 goals NL scored on Madlax in the playoffs, i wonder how many the "weak" attack scored? Would rather not see people (previous poster) cutting down players in specific positions on other teams— that’s lame. Coaches, they’re fair game. Kids might be on here, that’s just not cool. As for ML, teams are having a very tough time scoring on Madlax this summer from the look at the scores on US Club Lax (most games they’re giving up 2 or 3 goals against elite teams, including Hawks, Venom, Nationals, Ex North, etc). But they’re also having trouble scoring. But overall, Madlax has had a pretty good summer season through 4 tourneys. Their losses are to Hawks (by one) BBL (OT and by 3) and NXT (OT). The NXT loss certainly an outlier, it was end of day, overtime, meltdown. Nice wins against BBL, 91 Venom, 3D New England, Ex North, Nationals, Mad Dog West Elite, FCA. As for NL— of course they’re a good team, very athletic. Some great players, and they play well together. Their FOGO is their difference maker, has been problematic for Madlax in their matchups, who rotates 5-6 kids through the dot. NL won like 26 of the 31 faceoffs in that HoCo game. ML is working to resolve that in the very near future and when they do, they will be very hard for anyone to beat if they can muster 40-50% at the dot. Thankfully this season is almost in the books.

Almost feel bad for the Madlax trolls. But the culture of that team is to yell at kids, blame others, point fingers, make excuses. So why should it be different for parents? Hawks, Next Level, and FCA all have more talented, complete rosters. Madlax is a solid, mid-range team in HoCo and needs guest players to be relevant in summer.

Pretty spot on. Madlax is good for AA and AAA kids who want to try their hand at elite. But it’s not where you go if you really want to have any sustained success. It’s the True of the elite bracket.

Sounds like a dad whose kid got cut and went to NL

There was a time when Hawks and Madlax parents were equally annoying. Both on this board and on the field.
Now Madlax parents have far and away taken the lead.

This is common place in all areas of life. NO ONE takes responsibility.

Now Madlax parents have far and away taken the lead. 28 Hawks parents are by far the worst on the sideline. Who knows on this board. Can never tell who is who.
