- Teams within each group are interchangeable and fairly even
- This is a snapshot in time - things could change dramatically based on the results of PrimeTime in 1.5 weeks

This looks solid except that Texas Nationals should replace Madlax in Group 1. What has Madlax won recently? They're Group 2 at best. Plus, Texas Nationals beat Venom twice in NY to win NLF earlier this summer. Anyone who was watching the last Texas Nationals v. Hawks game at Naptown is still wondering why Texas Nationals pulled their goalie after the first half! Kid completely shut the Hawks out in the first half with about 10 saves. How the coach pulls a hot hand like that in an elimination game is beyond me!

Also, Next Level deserves to be Group 2 with the hoco win. Otherwise, this looks right to me.

With summer being biased, Next Level not ready for group 2. No tourney wins plus the first tourney drubbing. If they finished strong at a good tourney maybe but Hershey is not quality.

Yeah, MadLax guy, if it makes you feel better, then keep telling yourself that NextLevel is two tiers below you. They are “lucky” every time they beat you. Three out of the last four have been “lucky” outings, if memory serves. Including at the “not quality” tourney they beat you at last summer. They are “lucky” when they win HoCo, including a dominating—er, “lucky”—performance in the semis. You don’t see Hawks people on here denigrating NL. Healthy respect should be the norm in an age group with a boatload of talent and parity. But you simply aren’t capable.
Having trouble understanding the concept of summer/recency bias of the original considerations and ranking post. At the end of spring NL would have been a group 1 team and ML group 3. Opinions of rankings have zero overtones of denigration and the previous posting was factual albeit subjective as all ranking opinions are. ML should currently be in group 2 based upon the criterion of the group definitions as they've only beaten Hawks once in the past 2 years and have a penchant for choking in the big/tight games because of their coach, reading through other posts. Rumor has it that they won NAL big because that head coach was not present, maybe they ought to consider a change. Careful, your inferiority complex is showing.

Yeah the BBL team was solid. Best middies in the tournament. But I do think they had players from their other BBL teams, maybe BBL Shore? That was not the regular BBL team, definitely some guests
Agree, best group of middies but that Madlax middie is a stud but has zero help. He put a bounce shot through the net on us and had all of their goals in our OT win against them.

That bounce shot through the net was missed by the refs and goal wasn't counted. Goal should have counted and game never gone into overtime.
Thankfully so, we needed a big win. Our first ever against ML. But that big kid hit a couple of posts in the last minute, had to be 90mph, he's got a cannon.

NextLevel has better goaltending, face offs, coaching, and balance (ie, not relying on one player). So it is not a surprise that they usually beat ML.

If they treated every game like it was ML they would be unbeatable. Just so much fun tormenting their coach.

Ohhhhh, kinda like how all the Hawks/Madlax/Next Level kids who play for St Johns ran your 91 kids at St Anthony’s clean off the field this spring? Off their OWN field, mind you. Nah, 91 Venom is 1-2 against the DMV this spring. Blown out by Madlax and clipped by the Hawks. Likely to continue right through High School. See you in CT.

Venom is actually 1-1 vs DMV. The one lost at NAL wasn’t Madlax capital as we all know.

We get it. NL owns ML. Why is it that they are just mediocre against everyone else? They've gone to 2nd tier tourneys this summer and not played well. If you want to be considered amongst the national elite show up at NAL, Tri-Star, Naptown, NLF, or PrimeTime and make a run defeating some elite teams not named Madlax.

They went in as BBL national - not BBL. So, BBL players from different regions. No issue whatsoever from my perspective since they were very clear about it who they were.

Just so you know, the Texas national team is a national team made up of local kids from various clubs. Just like a West Coast Starz or true National. Those kids play for centuries, Iron Horse, 3-D Dallas, etc. You can keep calling Madlax national team they have one, sometimes two kids playing for them in the summer. Which is quite common, a lot of kids from Florida and Texas who don’t see consistent competition traveled into the Northeast to play for a team in the summer…. it’s not a exclusive of 91, prime time, etc. I personally know a kid from Florida who plays for primetime.

This is completely wrong based on my personal knowledge. Texas Nationals has the densest and most-confusing name in the game, but it's entirely a local 2028 club--just like Madlax, Hawks, or Venom. It is not a national team. All of its players live in the Dallas area inside a 30-mile diameter. None of its players play for any other local clubs. However, going the other way, some of its players do play for national teams like Mad Dog National, West Coast Starz, and JM3. The 2027 and 2028 teams are entirely local to Dallas, but the 2024-2026 teams are Dallas-centric but have a handful of players from Houston or Austin.

Venom was 1-1 last summer vs. Next Level at Millon. Two physical, competitive games. Haven't played since. Would enjoy seeing those two squads face off again.

That same TXN goalie got absolutely shelled in the 2nd half their pool play game

This is Exhibit A of what's wrong with Hawks parents. Even in a win, you can't even give credit where credit is due, choosing instead to dump on a 12 year old. I didn't see the pool play game, but from what I saw when elimination was on the line, that kid made it look easy against the Hawks. They didn't have a chance against him. But--giving credit to the Hawks D and their awesome goalie--the Texas Nationals didn't give their goalie any help on the offensive end of the field.

Big tournies left -- Primetime (which seems pretty stacked IMO. I originally thought Venom would be there but just checked TM and they aren't listed), NXT and of course, NLF

28s @ PT:

3DNE Red
BBL Black
Madlax
Prime Time
Legacy Lumber Jax
NH Tomahawks (don't know anything about them)
Express North Black
Mad Dog National
Sweetlax FL
Annapolis Hawks
Igloo

NLF:

Not sure if the 28 Hawks are playing NLF this year? Hawks parents?

Crabs, Big4 HHH, Laxachusetts, LI Express, Team 91 LI, Leading Edge, Madlax, Denver Elite, Eclipse, Prime Time, Resolute, Sweetlax, Thunder LB2, WCS

No doubt St. Johns CHS was pretty special last year. They made pretty marquee HS programs look like rec teams. I went to a couple of their games in the DMV during the season and it was not even close. They obliterated Gtown Prep to a point where it got embarressing, and a sizeable portion of GPrep is made up of ML DC Dawgs, which is a legit squad.

I know they are graduating a ton of kids. Be interesting to see how they will shape up next year. Given their ever increasing pull (and money to dole out) within the DMV you have to assume they will be just fine.

PrimeTime the more stacked tourney.

No Hawks teams attending NLF this summer

Is this just a rumor or is there proof? Would explain why NL not at some of the bigger tourneys but sounds far-fetched.

You would rather believe NL avoids playing in a tournament like NAL because they cant compete?

Why didn’t the Next Level 28s play in Naptown? They had a few older age groups that entered did fairly well.

You mean Madlax lost without their guest (I mean full-time players unless those kids real teams are playing in the same tournament) players? Shocking... So again, was NAL Madlax Capital or National???? ML got exposed without their "guests".

Point proven yet again...be angry all you want ML parents but you sham program continues to be exposed for being shady.

Both teams worthy of a top ranking with Hawks being one better today. Very even and Hawks goalie was lights outt or is definitely goes Venoms ways. These teams will probably spilt matchups for the foreseeable future. Also, both are teams that are not some mercenary squad of “nationals” chasing T-shirt’s. Funny to see Madlax complain about guest players. Not sure how to handicap the Hawks V BBL matchup, the NJ team is legit and beating the best out there.

I freaking love this!!! You mean to tell me that two squads showed up with their actual teams and played a back and forth game where they both got better and built a little rivalry???? This is what it's all about. Respect to both teams.

The big D isn’t as big of a factor as most think. There isn’t enough talent on ML, Hawks, Venom, Texas combined to overcome the awful coaching of ML head coach literally play by play directing his kids. Tells them to do foolish things, they do it and then he blames them for the mistake. Heard and saw it happen. Why do parents let their kids play for that guy??
Spot on. Screams at Y to “throw it to xxxxx,” and when X drops the pass, he screams “Y GET OFF THE FIELD.” I mean, my kid would tolerate that for about 5 minutes. Maybe because they’re still young, they take it. Once they get older, this team will truly disintegrate.
Their big middie is an offensive beast and was severely under used in that BBL game. If he leaves they’re not left with anyone that I saw that can even create a shot. Granted it was just one game but BBL really couldn’t stop the big middie. Their goalie came up big on him. That kid should get away from that coach and I’m sure everyone would want him. If the Hawks would get him they’d be almost impossible to beat. I detest seeing good players saddled with stunad coaches.

You mean the 14 year old?

Only been 14 for a few months

I would love to drag CM and ML for this but it seems very far fetched. ML and True National teaming up to block Nationals from their tournament is a very different thing, no matter whose side you believe.

You would rather believe NL avoids playing in a tournament like NAL because they cant compete?

Why didn’t the Next Level 28s play in Naptown? They had a few older age groups that entered did fairly well.

NL played Tues, Wed, Thurs in Vail, then Sat-Sun at Millon. Suppose they could have continued on to Naptown too, but that would've be 7 days of lacrosse tournaments over 9 straight days. Not every parent can take that much time off during work week. Bummer Venom didn't play Millon this year, since NL split with them last summer. But NL faced 3 top 5 teams at the 3 tourneys they played already. And they're in same pool as #6 2Way at Hershey. Appreciate this forum's concern for their schedule, but NL boys have had a lot of fun facing good competition from all over. Glad Hawks, Madlax, FCA, and other HoCo teams are enjoying success this summer. Good luck with your upcoming games!

Hawks 8- Venom 7 final.

Game was very physical and had some high level play on both sides of the ball. Hawks got punched in the mouth at NAL and brought a toughness (yes with some cheap shots they were called) that had been missing a few weeks back.

Except it didnt happen. Both had guest players that were only there for that game.

Truth. I heard the same thing from a guy in the lobby bar who also told me that Next Level was actually there but in Hawks uniforms and that the Venom starting midfield and Hawks goalie are actually from outer space, which is totally ridiculous. Coaches should be ashamed.

False. Venom did not use any guest players and didn’t notice any on hawks either.

Don’t know what is a worse look… the double holdback or the overweight ML dad who heckles refs the entire game and calls kids IAmInsecureies when they are injured. All in all ML is embarrassing.

All in all ML has a great group of kids that work their jerks off.

No, ML doesn't have a 14 yr old.

Any team would be more than happy to have these kids on their team. Stop the slandering.

Your kid should be asking you that question. If I had to guess, you wanted to accelerate him in preschool because he was so “bright.” If you want to comment on other parents decisions about their sons then take a look in the mirror. Your blind ambition for your son blew up in your face.

I thought all the ML dads were tiny with short man syndrome which is why they pound their chest for their sons and spend their days trolling this site. Is the overweight ML dad all tatted up?

Yeah the BBL team was solid. Best middies in the tournament. But I do think they had players from their other BBL teams, maybe BBL Shore? That was not the regular BBL team, definitely some guests
Agree, best group of middies but that Madlax middie is a stud but has zero help. He put a bounce shot through the net on us and had all of their goals in our OT win against them.

Sloppy game. Big middie had 2 of the 3 goals. The other goal was scored by another middie who was able to create own shot.
