You are kidding right? They have at least 4 kids who were 2025's last summer.

Two tourneys in CT, 20 miles apart, about equal in talent (top to bottom, Prime Time has less holes) and they couldn't figure out a way to have all of them in one tourney???

LOL - 3 of the 26's were former 25's and all are holdbacks. At least another 8-10 were holdbacks earlier than that. TRUST ME

They need to move that up for 8th graders with fall sports around the corner.

The NLF Championship is the week before7/15-7/17.

Predators Summer Tryouts

Looney's 2026 team is in the process of disbanding and the boys are headed to various other clubs. The 2025 team disbanded a few weeks ago, and 2023 is done for the year. That leaves Looney's with one team - the 2024s. Web site still has 2020-2021 season info up, so draw your own conclusions as to the future of this club.

Or if you are interested, just go to their website and read what is plastered all over it. Once again, if you have to ask at this grade, elite is not for you. Sorry

We figured out with my oldest son circa 6th grade that many of these clubs are looking for 1-4 kids vs the 40-60 who show up to try out. The tryout system only "works" for 3 groups of players:

1. Kids who want to stay at their current club
2. Kids who are a level above the competition at a tryout but need "a better club fit" than what they have
3. Kids who want to "level down" for more playing time, and blow away the competition at an AAA or AA tryout

If your kid is playing "elite" ball (and not in the top 5 players on his roster), and is trying out for other random elite teams than his own, you are wasting your money. Same is true, jumping between AAA teams if your kid is a "standard" AAA player.

Any reaction to Hawks announcement, good for tryouts?

Rage out is always a good thing for player development; I am not sure if that brings anyone new into the club that would be of significant help.

Twitter and FB only show a new 2026 Black coach which means a second team. The website list a new 2026 asst on green and Rage is still there. I will say with Hawks being so late in tryouts their kids will be at Crabs and DCE tryouts early

Not quite. Agree that tryouts for Elite and good AAA teams are somewhat useless due to the desperados nowhere near that level, and the time-wasters who go to multiple tryouts just to "check out the scene" or to get "extra practice." But in the world of over-size rosters, there are plenty of kids who feel they are not getting their due on their current team, and want a fresh look from a new team. holdbacks also put tryouts to good use, comparing the options in their new grade level.

Since you asked, keep in mind I feel no need to justify the question, but I will:
I have not seen them play since HoCo. I was interested to see if they added or lost players since, including not limited to the merge with the Cavaliers.
