They should be playing in a 26 division if they have a 26.

I heard that happened too. It's not right and would detest to call out a team directly so I'll give a clue. "The transmission of customs or beliefs from generation to generation, or the fact of being passed on in this way." I hope playing ineligible players in sanctioned events doesn't become one of these.

At lax by the sea tradition had some 26 kids moving between 3 rosters. Guess you have to do what you have to do to win and get your name out there

Are you talking about 1 kid or multiple kids? How do you know? I have no problem of kids playing their own year and then help by playing up a grade, especially considering some of these teams roster are not that big and with injuries and conflicts, grabbing a kid or two from a year younger seems like a reasonable thing to do to let the kids play. For kids to play down a year though is not right.

I know Tradition had at least 2 27s playing up on their 26s. Are you sure it wasn't those girls? Strong accusation to make without proof.

Other than YJ B beating Heroes, none of this is surprising. YJ B finishing higher than YJ A is not apples to apples.

Apparently he’s a problem everywhere he goes. Typical guy who has never been a part of real travel lax. Feel bad for him.

Was told he was going crazy at the end of the game screaming at YJ patents when FLG was about to win talking trash. A director came over and escorted him out.

YJ Gaghan should do well again this weekend. They are the sleeper that has proven all the skeptics wrong.

The main issue is that you can't double roster players. The 26' goalie can't play for both 26 and 27 and shouldn't have played for the 27' team, considering they had a 27' goalie there.

You mean because they are playing in the 2nd weakest division in the whole tournament? I guess they should do well

Watched them for a half on Saturday. Best coached YJ youth team i've ever seen. If they play a team with equivalent talent, they will win easily.

Challenge for them will be a lack of team speed and no top draw specialist. Will beat everyone below top 20 but can see them really struggling if they move up and play top teams.

They need to be challenged to really improve, they should fight as much as possible to get to the best brackets.

Great day for Long Island lacrosse. And we all did not have to travel too far.

Ok anonymous Liberty black parent. Whatever makes you feel better. You will continue to lose your top players. They want to be on the best team and it isn’t Liberty. This is when those shifts start to happen. Liberty is no longer a top A team.

Liberty tied FLG so they are right there

Or not

They are as good as their draw team and their ride. When they create turnovers, they are nearly impossible to beat. When they get forced into a slow down settled play game, that is when they struggle.

Many of the top Maryland teams (M&D and BLC in particular) play a slower more controlled settled game - win the draw, slow it down and work it around for 10 minutes before shooting, so that doesn't bode well. Hero's plays more up tempo.

Very accurate. I missed the M&D YJA game, but evidently YJA scored with seconds remaining but the M&D successfully argued that the ball was late out of stick and refs overturned goal? Can anyone confirm?

I watched the entire game. YJ was in control for most of it. Had a 3 goal lead with 10 minutes left and made some costly turnovers that led to M&D goals. As far as scoring with seconds remaining, the central horn clearly sounded before the shot.

Horn sounded about 2 seconds before the shot. It was a faint noise because of the location. But shot shouldn't have counted. We were waiting to play next game and everyone was wondering if it was the horn or something else we heard. Guess it was the horn

Parents need to chill with all the sideline antics. We are losing officials because of it and that's just part of the problem. Cheer for the kids and cut out the nonsense.

M&D plays up tempo as well. Of all the top teams, Eagle Stix, BLC, Primate and LBC play the slowest tempos and would create the most matchup problems

On the flip side, Heros, MadSkillz and especially Aces tend to push it the most.

Saw the team pic on social. Saw only 17 kids including 2 goalies. Did a bunch of kids not even make the trip?

They will struggle in tournaments (against top teams), depth not great for them and these games can really tire girls out with sometimes 3 games in 5 hours.

They were lucky to come from behind against BLC, Hero's and YJ the way they did. Point is, they aren't dominating, their lack of depth will hurt them against upper tier teams like this weekend,

Doesn’t make a lot of sense. Maybe it’s their depth that wore teams down and that’s why they keep coming from behind and winning.
