Don't worry. The Texas Nationals are going to run into the buzz saw that is the Predators in their first game at Naptown. The Preds!!! Talk of Baltimore!!! Where is that guy that was pounding his chest this time last year? Might have to burn 5 minutes if my life to go back and find one of those boasts on this board. Priceless. That 100% was someone trolling.

Whoever did sign them up probably did it the same time they scheduled Madlax several times off the bat. Delusional program.

Looks like all National teams, all-star teams and a few elite teams. Not sure what they were thinking. Cherries and NXT Black are in the same boat. They will lose bad.

USCL rankings updated and they are getting stupider.
Anyone want to take over for bored Md dad and do meaningful rankings that aren’t bought and paid for like USCL?

Anyone want to take over for bored Md dad and do meaningful rankings that aren’t bought and paid for like USCL? Objectively, it’s a little hard to stomach seeing a MadLax team that’s lost its last two contests to NL ranked four spots higher (#7 vs. #11). No beef with the Hawks’ #4 ranking. They are a legit, complete team. But leaving the HoCo champion (NL) out of the top 10 is a huge slight to the league and the NL program.

No reason to freak out today. All of the questions will be answered at NAL this weekend. USCL and any other rankings are inaccurate at this point because most of the top programs haven't played each other in a meaningful game since USCL started tracking this age (HOCO being the exception). When the HOCO teams start playing the other top teams all of the rankings will normalize.

If the algorithm ran for just 2022 calendar year, NL would be top 3. Those fall numbers are knocking them down a few slots and anybody that has played them know they are very good and getting better at the right time. Summer is where all this will play out. There are about 8 teams that could win any tournament at this age group, surprising amount of parity.

NL will quickly drop out of the top 5 conversation as they are not playing in any of the big boy tourneys this summer - NAL, Tri-Star, Naptown, or NLF. Congrats on the HOCO win, but if you want to be considered amongst the national elite you need to go to the most competitive tourneys to prove it.

NL is "lucky" that "the Hawks had Covid." Lol. I'm guessing that this is *not* coming from a Hawks parent who watched the regular season HOCO game between NL and Hawks when both teams were at full strength. That was an OT win for Hawks in a game that NL probably should have won in regulation but didn't manage the clock well. No excuses. A loss is a loss. But implying that a full-strength Hawks would have rolled NL in the HOCO championship is just silly.

Both great at FOGO and goalie.

This Preds stuff is a waste of brain cells.
So why isn’t NL playing in ANY of the big tourneys this summer. Don’t the players families know this is important?
Not invited? Are the Mitchell’s too busy with older teams?

Took you this long? 7 games over 9 weeks is not a body of work. Run the gauntlet against the top teams in the country over 2 days, you’re welcome to pound your chest.

I mean based on the results so far this summer it looks like the all star teams are the best. WCS and True National Black beating NL and FCA today. Texas Nationals beating Venom twice last week. HoCo is a strong league but sure looks like the national teams are better. Look at the Crabs going 0-2-1 today at NAL. HoCo teams definitely not the standard anymore.

I get why these all star teams exist but real teams beating them mean nothing and real teams losing to them means even less.

I’m glad the rest of the country in catching up. It’s the only way the sport will grow past its current niche to any sort of prominence.
Although call me when there are non all star teams from out west that can compete in the northeast.

Future is looking rough for MD , still will make great practice squads in college This is such a dense statement. These teams from West like WCS pull from 20 states. Literally. Seattle to Texas and everywhere between. The teams from back East are compiled of kids from mostly one town. Maybe 2-3 adjoining towns. If DC pulled together one team of kids from Madlax, Next Level, and BLC, the west coast teams might win one out of 10. For the same reason, 90% of impact players at the college level are from NY and Md. yes, the west coast is placing kids on the big D1 programs, but they’re hugging pine. Additional proof— the best west coast teams came east this spring to play a couple games. Mater Dei (supposedly the best CA team) played the last place team in the MIAA and lost. Played mid level team (Spaulding), and for absolutely run off the field 9-1. Spaulding is about the 5th best team— IN BALTIMORE. So keep the “West is better, it’s over for MD lacrosse” to the funny pages.

MadLax took down Venom 8-3 Very athletic and physical game. 91 Venom prob one of the most physical teams we’ve played last year or two … caught them on their heels today, but they are a very strong team top to bottom. Gonna be some great battles this summer w 91, Hawks, Madlax, Express North, True National, WCS, etc -Madlax dad
