Umm soo what showcase is good? All 3 of those are very good and very competitive. UA is still the best one with the highest level of competition. FreeState and Nike are both fun and highly recruited by all levels of college.

Best MIAA JV would beat Public School Champ. Would be close but MIAA JV would have too much depth and talent for PS to keep up.

Severna Park lost to the MIAA runner up in OT. I'm pretty sure they would kill any MIAA JV teams.

What public teams are gonna do that?

The State of MD public system went 1-11 against A teams.

The lone win came from one of the best publics, Catonsville.

And they beat MSJ by 1.

Hereford, SP, Broadnk and KI, all had their shots. Even got to play by their own rules. And still didn’t win. But a couple played an A-team close!

If you wanna chance to beat an MIAA team, schedule Curley.

SP averaged a shot every 75 seconds in that game and had less possession time than SM.

It does. Better staffs, better resources, and unlimited hours/contests/opponents available.

Show a little respect.

Private parents are paying for their kid's education and for your public school kid.

Nothing compares to the MIAA schedule and high level of lacrosse. Look at the play offs you had 20 D1 kids on the field at the same time. Most MIAA schools have 12-20 D1 kids on the roster. Public is lucky to have 1-3 D1 kids total on the field. Roster have 1 D1 kid if lucky. The rest of kids can barely throw and catch. Games are blow outs starter only play first quarter

Public schools don’t make up their own rules, they play to NFHS rules. Until the national federation changes, schools won’t change.

I saw 2 middle of the road Balto Co. publics play. It was a mess. The MIAA JV teams I saw could easily beat the bottom half of the public varsities. The games against the upper half of public schools would be close.

Was an entertaining year in the MIAA. Couple observations
1. BL
Coaches realized really early how much they missed Ben Smith and inserted SF into that role from that point on that team played its best lacrosse. It’s become very apparent lefty DP is purely a shooter (a wild one but a shooter ) and extremely one dimensional who is also extremely turnover prone as shown on biggest play of the year. Ball should of never started w him. CS will be a great get for Rutgers
2. McD most talented team that took some time to find its groove but did they ever! Biggest thing I noticed with this team was when they shared the ball and played together they were by far the cream of the crop complete team that didn’t rely on one or two guys
3, Calvert Hall
Never in sync entire year seemed to lack an identity was it a midfield initiated offense or attack. Seemed every game they lacked a key area and that supported by a few very odd losses
4. Spalding to no fault of the players they were extremely overrated very good at getting certain matchups but when it was all said and done their senior class underachieved. If some of those guys are who people say they are this team should of been much better as they were never a threat to win it all
5. StM
Great overall team with no “superstars” was refreshing to see a team just go out and be successful playing team lacrosse

The last ride the top 3 players from the miaa could score but took 15-20 shots a game. Averaging 3 goals per game but had just as many turnovers if not more. Is it worth it? With turnovers like that don’t see getting much playing time at the next level.

JC and MSJ need more on the field talent to compete.

I think the comment said “vast majority “ not all. Also a problem with public schools, the parents are notIntelligent and can’t read. SPHS played at NHLS last year and got killed by every private school they played… I think Gilman even beat them.
