I think it was the director not 2027 coach The director IS the 2027 coach. Which makes it that much worse. Well it definitely was the coach, which it sounds like is also the club director. Heros and LBC were caught in a weather delay with 6 minutes left to play in the 1st half..... Heros up 5-3 Both teams took the field at 3:45 with both full squads (and refs) in position ready to do the draw..... The LBC coach said her team would not restart play and took her team off the field. The 2026 Pride vs Heroes W game being played on the adjacent field, was completed on time (first half only) Looking at the rules, which are a little vague on this very specific situation, but leaves it up to you for interpretation: - A game score will stand at the point it was delayed if at least one complete half has been played. - Any team that forfeits a game due to lack of players or using an ineligible player will not be eligible for the playoffs. - Any forfeited game will be scored as a 10-1 win. So in my view, by LBC saying they are not playing, when they had at least 15 players on the sidles at the time, they forfeited the game, which means they should be disqualified form the playoffs... If this is not right then teams that are getting blown out in the first half should just stop playing before the half is over and use this as their excuse why they can legally not get a forfeit loss So I think .....Pride you are up and getting ready for Coppermine Agreed. It sets a really bad precedent if NGLL allows this to be legal.

This is completely false. The lighting delay horn was not blown until 3:45 which was 30 minutes after the delay. No player was permitted to leave their vehicle until the horn was blown at 3:45 per the refs who were screaming at the players and families. The rule is the game must be completed by 3:55 which is 55 minutes after the start of the game. Hero's wanted to change the rules and ignore the 55 minute rule. They wanted to start the game before all of the LBC players were on the field which was at 3:50- 5 minutes after the horn was blown. This would not end the game by the 3:55 time rule. I am sorry that your team only wants to follow the rules when they benefit you. Your parents should be ashamed of themselves for screaming at 12 year old girls. You don’t get to start the game when all of your players are present, you start the game when the refs say the game starts. Failure to do so is a forfeit, plan and simple. Is pretty obvious what the motivation was for LBC to delay the restart. Let’s hope NGLL does the right thing here. If not, all the club directors of contending teams must take action.

Heros parents did not scream at the girls. There was some chirping going on, but not directed at the girls. They did have words with the director, though. Should clubs get to delay games when they have players running late for games? Bad precedent all around.

The Heros parents were not screaming at any of the LBC kids, they were cheering their daughters for being good sportswomen. But I agree, if you are screaming to anyone but your own kid, you should be removed from the field I feel sorry for the LBC girls because they are being taught how to try to cheat, I don't think they wanted to as they were in position ready to play with subs on the sideline.

It comes down to this: Hero's wanted to play past 3:55pm in order to get the first half in and declare a win. However, Hero's did not want to play full game. LBC coach said if you are going to break the rules and play past 3:55pm then play the full game. LBC Coach was not going to play past 3:55pm to just hand Hero's the win. now they're mad. If you read below, why would the coach agree to play past 3:55pm just to get the first half in. Hero's, the great power of club lacrosse, trying to steal a cheap win and unfortunately for them the LBC coach new the rules and their 5 coaches on the sideline didn't seem to... Hero's is the better team most of the time, why try and steal one.
Here are the rules from NGLL website:
All games will be postponed during lightning and/or thunder. Games will resume 30 minutes after the last sight of lightning and/or crack of thunder is heard, but they will end 55 minutes after the original scheduled start time. • A game score will stand at the point it was delayed if at least one complete half has been played.

I am still confused. Were there enough to girls to play the game and finish the half? It sounds like there were before the 3:55 timeframe. According to the first post, LBC had 15 girls ready to play at 3:45, with 12 on the field ready for the draw when the refs said the game could resume. If that is the case, there were 10 minutes to get in the last 6 minutes of the half. So, how is that Heros cheating? Sounds like LBC wanted to avoid the loss. Coaches should not be able to not play because the players they want on the field are not there. If there were enough girls to finish the half, and enough time to finish the half, which it sounds like there clearly was, this should be a forfeit by LBC.

Facts is the Girls and refs were on the field and ready to play at 3:46 (per the ref I spoke to after the game) they only had 6 minutes left so there was ample time to play. And the fact the game on the other field was played to completion means they should have played. I am not sure what the LBC plan is, but taking the field and not playing should be a forfeit. There goes your playoff for unsportsman-like cheating (conduct)

Hero Green, Pride Red and Heros White were able to get their players to the field on time, but LBC wasn't? The fact that the Pride/Heros game finished on time pretty much defeats any LBC argument. Beyond that, failure to follow referee instruction can be grounds for immediate forfeit.

Heard the Hopkins coach might go to Coppermine to help with Recruiting. Any truth to this? My daughter is going to switch to a more competitive team next season and this would be good to know prior to tryouts. They have a descent team but still some players that could be challenged for their current spots. Otherwise SW looks like an opportunity to switch because they always get better just prior to HS. Love any feedback from people that may know anything more than just their opinion. It looks like Coppermine is currently the better of the two teams based on todays score in Tourney App and past results. Also sounds like Tucker will be involved with Coppermine in the future. Based on this I’d try out for both but Coppermine might be the tougher team to make now as I doubt they lose any girls to SW or any other teams. Now if your daughter is really talented and depending on where you live- M&D or Hero’s are two options. These teams would be the toughest to make though. Only other A teams I would mention would be NEMS and TLC. I know a few of NEMS better players are looking at options this summer, hearing some might be going to TLC where there is a NDP / Bryn Mawr connection. I’m sure SW too Coppermine has very good mids, that’ll be a hard rotation to crack No one is going from NEMS to TLC by choice.

Officials on the field told LBC and Heros, when the original horn sounded for lightening, that their players were to "go to their vehicles immediately and they were to STAY in their vehicles until the horn blew again 3 times, signaling play would resume." The horn sounded at 3:45 pm, alerting players to return to the field. Just because some players returned before they were instructed, does not mean the game starts. You were supposed to stay in your car until the horn, end of story. and yes, Hero's parents were yelling and screaming at the LBC players as they left the field.

Again, LBC had enough girls on the field to resume play. Refs called for play to resume. LBC coach refused to get off the field and allow the game to continue. Is any of that indispute? No? Then it should be a forfeit from LBC. End of story. If Heros parents were yelling at LBC, which, I don’t think anything was directed at the girls, then that should be addressed by the club.

I guess the next horn you hear for lightening, just keep on playing. Why even bother going to your vehicle? The horn signaling 'return to field" means what? Your late?.... Maybe the NGLL should put that in their rules. and You can't compare the other game that was played at those fields because you don't know what the conversation was between those coaches and refs and what they were instructed to do during the delay.

That's what all of the other coaches out there did, your augment of amount of time left is up to the officials and their watches not the coaches, so there is no excuse for what LBC did, it was a clear attempt to cheat, and the parents should be talking to the coach about the lesson that was taught yesterday. I am disappointed that NGLL did not consider this a forfeit as it allows teams to stop playing with out penalty in the future. Good luck to everyone this week :-)

LBC coach and Hero's parents. That's a tough call on who's more annoying.
With that being said, I remember seeing LBC at indoor tournament and couldn't believe how salty the LBC coach was. Spent the whole time arguing with refs and complaining about rules.
She seems like a party-pooper.

LBC parents, you all know the other stuff that has been done, girls playing down in Hershey last summer. Hope all adults take a real hard look at lessons our daughters are learning on a weekly basis by adult actions or inactions.

FWIW, I didn’t find the heroes green parents to be annoying at all, pretty chill group. Same w heroes white, little more vocal but fine.
The only parents I found to be awful were Coppermine 28B during middle school indoor league.
I think overall, the 27 parents are pretty solid.

LBC +2.5 vs. Pride: This line of course assumes that LBC wants to play the entire game Hero's White +1.5 vs. Coppermine: Pretty much a quarterfinal playoff game, Hero's has the tiebreakers if they win MD -2 vs. Integrity: Its put up or shut up time for integrity if they want to be viewed as a top Half A team Stars -4.5 vs. TLC: A rare winnable game for both teams; this could have been the B championship
NEMS - 7.5 vs. CCLax: NEMS takes out its aggressions after last week's missed opportunities for big upset M&D Black -11.5 vs. Skywalker's: Not sure SW will have a successful stop and clear in this game MDU -2.5 vs. LBC: Will be a fiery game. Lots of team switching between the two teams. Safe to say they don't like each other HG - 13.5 vs. Cavalier: Pity the moms that have to give up their day to watch this Integrity -5.5 vs. Stars: Integrity ends their spring on a high.

A little Tuesday action. Love it. Give me Hero's White plus the 1.5. They will win outright Pride wins over LBC by 3. Bad karma gonna bite them (on Saturday) M&D will win by 15...even as average as they have been. Skywalkers is in for a drubbing HG will win 19-1. I would call out sick if I were Cavalier (maybe they can borrow LBC quitting scheme and leave 10 minutes into game) Give me LBC plus the 2.5 against MDU. Universe works in strange ways.

Karma is LBC bring the laughingstock of the 2027 age group. Any player or parent should be embarrassed to play for that director/coach.

But people do play for LBC and they may be some people Who live over the bridge only choice and they’re obvious not embarrassed
So why don’t you help the situation by not insulting the choices of 12/13 year old girls and their parents. Worry about you kid and her team only

I think LBC wins because they are annoyed with the chatter on here recently. I also think Coppermine beats Hero’s White again as they seem to finally be playing well as a team. The others I agree with.

Good luck to all this weekend!

FWIW, I didn’t find the heroes green parents to be annoying at all, pretty chill group. Same w heroes white, little more vocal but fine.
The only parents I found to be awful were Coppermine 28B during middle school indoor league.
I think overall, the 27 parents are pretty solid. You're kidding us. The most annoying parent is a Heros' 27 green. Look for the shiny head.

Just heard that M&D won in the last seconds this weekend over NEMS. Sounds like a great game.

Lots of really nice girls / parents on that Nems team and the HC is really cool as well. They can score in bunches and if they win draws are dangerous.

And always a classy bunch.
