Hawks do pull the starting goalie to allow the backup to play. Imagine that in youth lacrosse. It won't matter as they will roll through undefeated again in HoCo.

Why because they blew out two of the better teams in AAA out already in VLC and BLC? Now they get to play True Annapolis B team??[/quote]
You are either a Crabs dad who's mad they left elite or a True dad who's mad they dropped to AAA and the right level of competition.

Crabs brought in the fca connection and it fell apart in. That’s what happens when you set the roster set before tryouts. What happened??

Former FCA Dad Coach took his son to Crabs. Took a lot of the FCA kids with him. This was known before the tryouts.

Sounds like tryouts were for show, deal was struck before anyone touched the field.

Crabs 27 Coach is a marked improvement over the former dad coaches of which there were 5 on the sideline. The team as a whole is definitely better and the coach teaches lacrosse instead of the dirty techniques being taught by the old dad coaches. The bargaining of bringing players to the team is wrong and goes on with a lot of teams at all ages. This coach is Coach K compared to the clowns on the sideline for MadLax and NL.

Enjoy the “good coaching” because if its true, that’ll all change next year when your coach changes, and the dirty techniques crabs are known for will most definitely return. Currently the 8th grade team is being looked into by HOCO for bringing in multiple players from out of state that are in high school, who are already holdbacks on the FL Stealth 2025 team. Tough for even local crab holdbacks to get playing time when they’re completing with soon to be 16 yr olds.

That's a pretty big accusation. My understanding is HoCo sent out a letter about roster reminders but that's as far as it's going to go.

Haven’t been here for while but nice to see all you losers still so worried about middle school lacrosse. Fact is most likely none of your kids will play for legit D-1 school so find something better to do with your time. Second all of these programs have issues. the top 3 which everyone know who they are not killing teams like in past. Stop with hawks are so great because of coaching just like other programs it’s fallen off. Crabs may need to re think there program because it’s not doing well at all before high school except 26 which we all know about Florida kids so stop. Can’t wait to see some you stunads on sidelines today. Probably the dad coaching from wrong side field.

The topic is relevant and applies to many clubs. Madlax made an "arrangement" with the BLC coach and it continues to affect ML, BLC and even NL. Crabs have done this 2x with FCA and Looney's before that. Not to mention dad coaching and coaches taking payoffs from individual parents. Tryouts are a joke and buyer beware in youth sports

I can’t tell if you agree or think the idea of a parent, not a team, providing gift cards or thank you $ or private lessons from the head coach is not happening and not influencing the coach’s decision. Youth sports is not even close to a meritocracy.

This is a new low. There are several issues going on, but bribing the coaches, please. It happens on at least one 2027 team. Instead of the whole team chipping in for year end gift cards, families give them to the head coach individually. And they give larger sums than a typical thank you token of appreciation like might be given to a bus driver or teacher. The coach is known for playing favorites anyhow, and the generous gifts yield nice returns for the families who give them.

Stuck around for the FCA v NL game. Good to see FCA still livng up to their reputation. They might've had 10 penalties and 2 flagrant 2 minute penalties.

Yeah, the "hobby," "quarter-zip," "hit the wall" quips are a little tired. Apparently, dirty play where 2 kids are ejected is a bad topic. I'll use another tired quip. "Sorry, FCA dad." Maybe never winning a game against a good team and having a 1/3 of the team leave year over year shows FCA is doing something wrong.

Only 2028 elite showing anything really. They might be too busy attacking Happy rights (yup look it up) to focus on lax.

Why do you care if someone wants to watch the game? Are you really concerned there are creepers at hoco lax? Don’t worry fca mom, the whole world isn’t trying to get your kid. You should be more concerned 2 kids from your own team were thrown out of the game, if the above post is correct.

Those of us who actually played, are fans of the game, and don't mind catching the end or beginning of another game. Those of us who are just living through our kids, get mad that little Johnny didn't start/score/save adequately, and tell him to throw his garbage in the Expedition so we can immediately peel out of Troy Park and hit the Glen Burnie Olive Garden on the way home. #breadsticks

They do fix a lot of what’s wrong in the world.

Youth sports is not even close to a meritocracy. You'd be surprised. Check the hotels rooms for parents and some coaches at major club programs lighting one up and sharing party goods. It's bad enough other parents are talking about it and it works based on the results. At several age levels.

Does anybody know why NextLevel and MadLax are not playing each other in HoCo regular season? ML and NL coaches both coach at STA. They have mutually agreed not to play in order to increase their chances of making the playoffs. The league is deciding whether to make the game a tie or just a 6 game season.

Majority of kids from both teams were on spring break when HoCo scheduled their game. Both coaches agreed to play each other at a later date.
