Both hawks and Madlax have played before. I’m not a parent of neither team but given the HoCo schedule and the way it was Theron together it’s not really conducive to participate in. You are kidding right? Most holdback centric teams thoughtfully scheduled to avoid the World Series. I honestly don’t blame them as there is no good reason for holdback centric teams to ever compete on age in this sport today. And getting out of the way to let their on age kids compete in the event somehow is just not worth the time and effort of club owners. So much easier for holdback centric club owners to badmouth the World Series or better yet create a very competitive money making event that conflicts with the World Series. No one is going to change this reality unless youth lacrosse moves to age based. You do make any sense. Thoughtfully scheduled to avoid the World Series lol? Think about what you are saying dude. And again I’m not a parent of either hawks or Madlax. But the holdback 28s on hawks and the on age 27s on hawks would do just fine I reckon. The issue isn’t talent - it’s programs would have to expose how old they really are. Which no one seems to want to do especially for something like this new iteration of the WSYL. And again, they have played before dude. I don’t know why that’s so hard for you to comprehend. Hawks tried that last year and came in 6th. Pretty embarrassing if you ask me. Clearly, they didn’t want that type of attention nor did Madlax, Next Level etc. All three of those teams are loaded with holdbacks. Not a big deal, except for the hypocrisy if any of them complain about the other two.

When does Hoco make their decisions about who gets placed in what division? The initial alignments should be leaked this week. Then depending on pushback from coaches there will be some adjustments made after the upcoming spring tournaments. Has anyone seen this yet? Just curious

Have the hoco divisions been decided? Why does it matter? Let your son show up and play the team that is on the docket each week.

Exactly, why come here and discuss the upcoming season and potential teams when you can spend 92 pages crying about the hardships of things in club youth lacrosse. Jeesh, take your need to discuss informational things like "divisions" to some place where they talk about 2027 lacrosse.

Definitely will be interested to know, my son plays on a team that could go either way I think. If there was a group with the bottom half of Elite HoCo and the top AAA teams that would probably be the most ideal placement. Not interested in winning every game but want the boys to be in a division that they can be challenged but not killed. Not sure the development occurs in that situation.

Girls NGLL Mid Atlantic (all ages) starts on the same timeline has been scheduled and published for several weeks now. I dont think its wrong for folks to be curious about bracketing, at a minimum, for a league that starts in a few weeks.

So the entire Looneys 2027 squad goes to Predators and suddenly they go from AAA to B? That's weird. Having seen them play VLC (I believe it was a 1 point game until an onslaught of VLC points at the end of the game), they are not horrible and should be lower AAA or top of AA. Based on that one game I saw, they would beat any team you listed in B, A, and probably AA. In your AAA list, they would not beat Zingoes, SW, VLC, BLC and 50/50 on Kelly Post. They would absolutely beat Madlax DMV, who should be in AA. Except that they lost to Madlax DMV in the fall. Also winless in the fall and last spring as Looney's (plus 4-18 in the summer as Looney's). I could see them making a case for A but not AA or above. My son plays for VLC and I saw the Predators this fall. They gave us and Bethesda a good game. We scored a couple late to win. MLDMV was sharing players all tournament, surprise, surprise. So take that score for what it's worth. The Predators are probably upper AA or lower AAA. LOL I have no love for Madlax or Predators but we were at that tournament and I laughed at loud at the (noticeably larger) "DMV 2027" players shuffling in and out, pre-game. I hope they didn't lose any games that tournament, because that would just be embarrassing. I believe they "accidentally" got bracketed against 2028 Predators as well. Oops! Why the Preds directors would be so cavalier as to enter a ML event with every factor (sketchy roster subs, holdbacks, actual talent, cohesive teams) stacked against your Looneys Heroes is a mystery too, ha ha. Predators are up for any challenge, unlike many holdback teams. Sorry your son didnt make Predators this year, always next year So Preds are registered for the March Kickoff Invitational AA division? Should be fun to watch. We were there. Where were Preds?

So your saying this "Final Registration Deadline: Tuesday, March 1st" on HOCO's website is fake news? Why do clubs need to "hold their $$"? Hold it for what? I paid my kids tuition back in August.

Didn't say March 1 was fake. Teams register by March 1; then there's follow up on things like roster submission, coach registration, scheduling, alignment... along with all the other leagues and activities organize. Then there are the meetings with teams and final tweaking of the league and the competition committee. I'd say HoCo does a remarkable job given the size and scope of what they do. I don't see any other county doing anything close in size or scope.
Do you pay your utility or tax bills far in advance of when they are due? Chill dude. Reserve your Saturdays for lax and you can dial it in later.

Best in the nation will be there. Madlax Cap, baby! Can they beat the sidewinders yet? They just won against True Annapolis but only by 3 in Spring Thaw (6-3). Good tournament to watch before elite hoco. Madlax, Crabs, Hawks and True in it. 91 md had a good couple playdays too with 3-1 losing just to #2 Mad Dog. Looking like a great hoco season. Team MD got rocked yesterday by Red Hots which looks like yep, they didn't belong in elite anymore.

Tru and zingos move up. Team md and sidewinders go down. Team md made a lot of noise on this board last year. I’m guessing Z lost the coin flip.

Can't wait to see the drunk zingos dad on the sidelines again after he's had a few. Wonder what excuses he'll come up with about why his kids team is getting crushed every week. Oh right, he'll just claim "holdbacks! TM"

Perhaps the poster meant to say ML (MadLax) and MI is a typo. But I looked at the schedule and it appears MadLax and NextLevel are not playing at all this weekend. I wonder why they are not playing each other?

In the past they’ve played at a different location closer to home. No need to drive all the way out to Howard County when the teams are about 15 mins apart.
