And all the parents should be super proud that the Crabs 9th/10th graders beat up on everyone’s 8th graders. Congrats. Crabs will roll through HOCO undefeated. There is no debate. They upgraded in positions they didn’t even need to. No team will come within 5 goals of them this spring. Troll/ hater post. Focus on your son; trust me he needs work. I think it's a pretty accurate post. They will probably go undefeated. I don't think they have a single true eighth grade starter on that team. Nope everyone single one of them is a holdback; youngest kid on the team was born Aug 2006 Completely False. Have a friend whose son is on the team; he’s on age as are others. Oh yeah the Boucher's. They aren’t doing anything wrong since it’s grade based. You may not agree with the model, but they are the best team now, period. Undefeated.

Crabs goalie is on age no? He’s been in the same grade at BL since kindergarten and is currently in the 8th grade. Same thing with numerous other kids on the team who attend BL.

Looney's? 91? Madlax? Crabs? Bueller?

I find it hard to believe that 16 yo double holdbacks really exist - what kind of kid would want to play with kids 2 years younger than him? Also almost every double holdback would be ineligible to play in the MIAA during their seniors years, no?

It can happen, scenario is a July or Aug b-day and kid is held back in kindergarten and then kid goes to private for high school and repeats a year.

There are seniors who are not eligible to play this year in the MIAA. CHC has at least one. It happens. It's not a rumor.

Yeah I'm aware of the kid at CHC - I can't recall that situation taking place before and people on this thread are claiming that the crab's whole starting lineup are in the same boat? Seems unbelievable. There are also numerous kids in BL's 8th grade on that team who have been in the same grade at BL since kindergarten.

So are you saying this is 2024 players all playing in 2026? Sort of - they're saying players who should be 2024s have been held back in school TWICE and therefore are 2026s

Because Crabs can’t develop kids to be good enough on age?
And evangelize just waiting until they are older than everyone else and play down?
As an organizational philosophy it’s a joke.

Lots of detest towards the Crabs organization these; not sure why we are not focusing on our own clubs and sons development. Crabs are the best at getting holdbacks on their 8th grade team. Better than most as they have the BL pipeline which is holdback central for holdbacks. One of best teams ever at High School was BL a few years ago with Shack and Company, Darn, there were one of best College Freshman team playing in High School I have ever seen. And yes, All MIAA teams and related clubs have them. Just Crabs and BL are the best at the holdback game. King Crab give passionate speeches about the benefits of holdbacks . Which he is right about, BTW

As an organizational philosophy it’s a joke. You know High School Coaches promote the hold back game right? And I am sure College Coaches are upset by it either?

Stop the whining - in high school your kids will have to compete with older kids. In college you will have to compete against older men! The world isnt fair and it never has been. Work hard and overcome. Thats called being great
