So high school decisions come out next week. Does there tend to be a lot of player movement between clubs going into freshman year? Will kids move clubs to align with coaches and other players on their high school teams?

There will be a ton of movement between 8th and HS. Both ways. Many kids have already been seen by their hs coaches who are affiliated with clubs, so the movement will be used by kids to get better/different exposure for college.
Some others will in fact move to play with their hs teammates and make a better impression on their hs coaches who haven’t seen them as much.

Good news for all the recruits and hopefuls headed to CH- more renovations to Kelly Field are underway. They are adding additional benches to the sideline this year.

I also heard expansion of the Locker Rooms which will include outdoor showers and bathrooms to accommodate the entire varsity team. Towels included!!

Any team found to have a player(s) playing down would be DQ'd from HoCo and any tournament.

One of our players forgot his game jersey and borrowed a teammate's practice jersey for the game, so the opposing coach was suspicious. The ref did the roster check and we were cleared of any wrongdoing.

There's a fee for roster check and a fee for challenging a game. It's especially tricky in playoffs, as you have only a few hours (on a saturday) to submit a written complaint and $50 cash to the HoCo Parks and Rec office which is obviously closed on Saturday. During the regular season, you can challenge a game or score as late as the next monday I believe.

I am glad that the coach who was suspicious called for the check, and also glad to hear that nobody was actually cheating. I wish there was a culture of "trust but verify" in all the games, and coaches felt comfortable checking whenever they had suspicion. What is wrong with that?

Anyone know what teams are going to be in Elite and AAA HoCo this year? Based on last years records and rumors of a larger division, this was the analysis in the Baltimore Sun's weekend sports page: TEAM W L T WPCT GF GA Notes Elite Hawks 7 0 0 1.000 82 36 Influx of 3D cash combined with Blue Blood legacy Crabs 6 1 0 0.857 80 48 No longer constrained by need for parents to drive them True Annapolis Green 5 2 0 0.714 48 47 Will slip a bit with loss of top coach The Artists formerly known as BLC Blue (Now called DC Express) 5 2 0 0.714 51 45 Insufferable as the rest of them but they have new shirts in 8th grade Madlax Capital 5 2 0 0.714 45 28 Looking to challenge for Silver Medal VLC 3 4 0 0.429 47 60 Lost some talent but still Elite Team 91 2 5 0 0.286 34 63 Always hear that they are about to be great FCA 1 6 0 0.143 36 56 Sliding but at least they are honest Looney's 1 6 0 0.143 33 42 Everybody in this forum seems to know their players and where they are transferring to. Next Level 0 7 0 0.000 21 52 Much improved and will rebound from down year Hard Shells (on age Crabs) New team this year Predators New Team this year Top Caliber 5 2 0 0.714 43 34 Won Playoffs and heavily recruited on playoff weekend. TRW Wolfpack 6 0 0 1.000 42 23 Dominated regular season of AAA and earned right to move up AAA Sidewinders 6 1 0 0.857 45 40 Solid team with a few stars but not Elite Roughriders 4 3 0 0.571 50 41 Suffered some losses but still solid and well coached Breakers Blue 3 4 0 0.429 43 46 Middle of Pack AAA can win or lose any game Zingos Black 2 5 0 0.286 39 51 Consistent. Will be there on Championship weekend Saltwater 1 5 0 0.167 57 63 Solid Summer and Fall after disappointing Spring. Could be Elite Shore Kaos 0 7 0 0.000 37 58 May have folded or become Dark horse Cannon's 6 1 0 0.857 52 26 A team on the rise.
