Things tend to get out of hand in 2nd half, I know we've lost by more than 6 when there was a 1-2 goal game at halftime.
Your kid will experience this even more at HS level, might as well learn to play as if the score was always 0-0.
There's really not an easy solution. The bottom of the A division deserve the right to go up against the top A teams to try to improve.

Every week teams could prepare for you and playoffs there were no easy games. Simulate to high school now. Playoffs were always competitive and semi and final in one weekend was fun too.

does anyone know how many girls they will be taking from MD for AU futures? I know there were 2 MD teams last year. Feels like there will be hundreds of girls trying out and some very good girls from top clubs probably won't make it. According to AU Futures director, they will take 16-19 girls per region. However, girls can tryout for multiple regions if they want.

Any guess where the AU Futures summer camp will be this year? It still says TBD on the website. Only "mid atlantic region" as the descriptor They are trying to get same location (sportplex in gaithesburg) as last year, but haven't been able to confirm. Heard 2nd choice is the big complex in delaware The website says summit will be held at Cedar Lane Regional Park in Bel Air.

Noticed they did recently update the location to Cedar Lane and it’s shorter this year too. Last year was pretty much the entire Monday, Tuesday and half day Wednesday. This year it’s just a late start on Tuesday and Wednesday. Bummer because my daughter loved the three days last year.

With NGLL divisions aligned, its comical how mismatched they are.
Big winners are M&D (Shocking) and Coppermine.
When people claim M&D is biased and gives special treatment to their teams in NGLL and Robinson tournaments, this is what they are referring to. No Hero's Green. No BLC. The three weakest teams in A league all in their division.
Coppermine had the easiest 2021 NGLL schedule, and darn near made the playoffs because of it, but this year there's no way they don't make the playoffs.
They play CCLax and TLC, who may win one game amongst both of them, but even with M&D matchup their opponents were 17-28-3 in 2021 NGLL A and got outscored 300-406. Take away the M&D game and their opponents were 10-27-3 and outscored 219-368 in NGLL 2021.
So In North your playoff teams are:
1) M&D Black 2) Coppermine 3) NEMS
Mark it down.

If you're scared, stay home. And Hero's White will have something to say in the M&D Division

Two games against CCLax? Come on bro! Honestly you guys should be embarrassed. You would make the playoffs regardless, didn't need to soften it all up. Yes, Hero's White who won a single NGLL game last year, is going to be a threat. LOL.

M&D vs TLC, Skywalkers, CClax (2 times) Heros White, that going to be 75 goals and maybe 10 goals allowed in those 5 games. As someone stated, that could very easily be a B division lineup.
Not going to prep you for a Hero's in Mid Atlantic finals or Eaglestix in NGLL finals if you make it.

Agreed about the lopsided brackets. Really, everyone in the "South' bracket got hosed. BLC especially as their one "North" game is M&D - the only strong team in the North! The next best team is NEMS who is solid but not great. Coppermine is OK at best.
The South has Hero's Green, LBC, Pride, MD United and BLC????
That's 5 strong teams vs. 2 if we are counting NEMS.
Need to swap one of the 5 strong teams for a weaker team in the North. It would closer to balanced then....

What I can't understand is why M&D would play CCLax twice? Any chance that was an error? It doesn't seem that any other teams meet twice in an eight game season.

Why do the weakest teams have the most challenging schedules? You’d think they’d try to make it more even. Seems like the NGLL is protecting some programs.

Let’s not lose sight of the fact NGLL scheduled games for Heros MDU and BLC during the Athletes Unlimited tryouts. Could have very easily been avoided, almost appears intentional. These conspiracy theories are wild. The NGLL does not care about middle school Athletes Unlimited.

NEMS is much better than Coppermine
