Not sure if everyone saw, but M&D/Robinson sports were sold to 3 Step who own many lax teams, NGLL and tourney groups.
Wonder the potential implication to YJ/Steps tourneys going forward. Assume no changes this year, but may see some exodus in numbers from the YJ/Steps events. Liberty also getting sold to a youth sports aggregator

Not announced yet but done. Btw this isn’t a bad thing. Everything stays in place so as a parent nothing changes. If anything it should improve the comms, logistics, gear package, etc.

There will be a mass exodus come spring. If the top players are smart they talking to YJ/FLG trying to get picked before spring (and yes for talented players they do this)

How are they determining this list in 7th grade? Kind of young? Shouldn’t this be HS age girls with established history in LI lacrosse. It’s probably based on girls playing in events that the guys who are choosing this list runs? Don’t let your daughter get caught up in these list. Especially so young. Keep her training hard and staying focused on the upcoming tournaments. If she’s one of the better players , she will get recognized by college coaches when it’s time. Forget list in 7th grade!

Exactly. Good for the girls on the list - but let's be honest, it's based on who paid to attend a camp run by this group. There will be plenty of time for this in a few more years when the girls hit HS and recruiting - ridiculous that they are putting out lists as young as sixth graders based upon absolutely nothing.

What is this LILJ all Long Island list that came out? No idea how they landed on a bunch of those names seems a bunch of kids missing that would be much more deserving This is based on kids who attend their events and clinics (including Queen of the Island). That said, I'd argue most of the names are spot on, those a couple top YJ players are missing-- likely because they don't attend all of the LILJ events.

What list and who made this list? The “list” is extremely political. Many deserving girls left off, and some real head scratchers. This organization is for profit (who isn’t in lax?). Overall I think they do a decent job, but they should try to be less bias’s towards pay to play events. They are heavily promoting these “best of LI games” charging $300 a pop for a made up event. I get it’s a business, and everyone wants to be on these lists, but try not to get caught up in it. It’s no Under Armour! For the record, my daughter has always been on the “list”

Most older girls are going to various camps and prospect days when the actual tournament is. Remember this is a cash grab. No more no less

Not as much for the actual lacrosse side of things. (at least for more advanced players, would be fine for younger/rec players trying to get more reps.)

Hopefully they can stay together and maintain. 7th grade is pretty young and there is traditionally much movement at this age. Will be interesting to see how it all shakes out by 9th grade

FLG would be mid tier in Baltimore. Pride beat them by a couple and Pride is still a level below Hero’s and M&D.
