This goes on year round because the coaches don’t know how to say NO to these overbearing Hawks dads. Let the coaches coach, let the boys play lacrosse without all these bored low life wanna be dads. Will it change.. nope. If your kid doesn’t play Hawks lacrosse save yourself a lot of money and look at another school.

Perhaps SG critics and defenders should look into needlepoint to occupy their time.
Why? Is LD hiring embroiderers?

Are you talking about SG or St. Mary’s because literally the entire starting lineup is Hawks with one exception.

Guess I'm missing your point. No one club or high school has a monopoly on overbearing dads.....Plus the Hawks are by far the best club in AA County and probably now the BW market. STM or SG coaches who didn't recruit and play Hawks boys would be at a distinct disadvantage.

Not a surprise that someone from Glen Burnie would be a connoisseur and purveyor of flat B hats.

Correct.

But remember, the Preds "region" is the whole entire world:

1) Team USA
2) Chaos
3) Whipsnakes
4) Predators
5) UVA

Close but no Cigar ! Preds are below Team USA by a smiggen , but above Chaos and Whipsnakes by a small margin and UVA college team, Shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Predators. Keep it Real People

Whats up with the MIAA as far as when teams can start practice? Teams posting practice on social media everyday. All fair game now?

Open to practice, year-round. Every school does it, to varying degrees.

There are limits,,,just that these are captains practice or some such made up name to keep it legit and within the rules, There also is no recruiting according to MIAA rules ! LOL

Teams are allowed 3 hours a week to be on the field together practicing. This does not include all the strength and conditioning work done off the field.Teams that do a work around like Spalding that have primarily only lax bros on team set up a Club team (Dingers) which appears to be able to practice year round on campus. The other 95% of schools have similiar club team they play under or just use actual school to play in fall events. Those same schools have players that do multiple sports and are not allowed to participate in weekly practices or events.
X. OUT OF SEASON PRACTICE
Summer Season: June 1 - August 1 (Fall sports)
June 1 - Beginning of fall practice (All other sports)
For practice purposes, summer begins June 1st and ends August 1st. During this time coaches can work with student athletes in any capacity. The use of protective padding for football, (blocking/tackling sleds or similar apparatus) is prohibited and no contact is allowed. Camps are excluded. From August 1st thru the start date for fall practices, fall sports teams may utilize weight training and conditioning activities only. The fall start date signifies the end of summer and workout limitations.
Out of season practice: First fall practice date - May 31
Coaches will be permitted to work with their team outside of the normal season, but during the school year, for no more than three hours per week. The three hour time period is voluntary for students and may include: agilities, practices, individual sessions, open gyms, games or contests during the week. Weekend club games/tournaments and weight training/conditioning activities are not included in this three hour limitation. The three hour time limit is cumulative for all coaches. (This includes spring football)
There are no out of season limitations for the individual sports including: cross country, golf, squash, swimming, tennis and track.

You can't have a team practice.

But weights/conditioning/skills/indoor league/captains run/pickup/offseason training...

All legal.

They are doing team practice on school grounds, so it must be legal. Don’t care what they call the team.

Back to the MIAA.
Hearing with the uptick in covid numbers and the basketball season closing down over winter break that the lax tourney will again be all-inclusive.

So if that happens again, my off the wall predictions:
CH beats McD in the championship.
BL and Gilman lose in the semis.
Severn, MSJ, JC and Spaldong have good years but don’t advance beyond the QF.
StM, StP, Loyola are one and done in the playoffs.

Here we go again with this nonsense. Funny how everyone keeps talking about this man. I guess it really is true - people only talk about people that win. People don’t talk about people that don’t win. All this BS that you all type about this man just shows that you wish someone would talk about you. GO WIN!

Everyone remembers the champion. Coming in 2nd is like coming in 10th. No one cares.

How many times will you have to post about them to prove this point?

Nah.
Once families start dropping out at the prep school and during the first semester and shedding light on the fact that the Hawks coach promised them money once they completed their obligation, or paid them up front, it will be a huge problem.
Chris, please chime in

Got it Former Hawks dad who didnt get the invite to go to Spalding with the rest of his team. Must have really hurt to keep this envious jealous tirade going after all these years.

This might be more true than some want to acknowledge. Each year we hear Spalding "Had a great JV squad" and is "one year away."

They didnt win it last year with the most talent and money EVER in their program. Now they practice and play year-round right now. If Our Lady of Glen Burnie cant win it all this year, they never will.
