See you guys at Next Level tryouts next summer. Maybe they’ll become DCE2028 next season

It would be amusing to see, but I have a hard time believing that ML has less cash reserves than Nationals in terms of legal fees.

In terms of the merits of the case, it is premature to say, I wonder what will be revealed in Discovery.

Nationals aren’t paying the attorneys unless they win. ML has to pay to defend, though insurance may cover it.

I detest Cabel more than the next guy but the race thing seems like a stretch.

Really? You have a hard time Cabel said or wrote something totally inappropriate in the midst of a heated argument with a competitor who is baiting him?

True DMV?

True Severna Park?

True Severna Park looooooool

It's important to remember that like all lax clubs, True is all about income generation through offering "experiences." You pay for the "local" club and for the $500 gear kit, and then maybe you can pay an additional $200 to play on the "national" "state" and/or "regional" teams too if your kid can play.

True Baltimore: Generally a "Rec+" "Club" playing out of Harford County these days. They attempted to cannibalize Mason Dixon, Wolfpack, Fallston, Bel Air. Successfully cannibalized the Kelly Post "A/B" team this fall. Fair to say, the operation is universally lampooned.

True KP: Remaining Kelly Post teams bought/leased/whatever by True. Very competitive AAA team at this age group, kids have been together since Kindergarten

True Annapolis: True ate the Cutters. Excellent AAA team at this age group.

True DC: True ate East Side Lax.

True VA: New club, seems to be operating out of the unmowed field of some public HS in Loudon? Wouldn't be surprised to see them eat Tribe (Loudon Youth Rec Club). They have been around for a year and have not seen them notch any eye raising victories over even AA or AAA teams.

True MD: True state team made up of Baltimore, Kelly Post, and Annapolis players. Though really, they just play the True Annapolis kids.

True DMV: Supposedly a new regional team to show off / profit from players who are too good to play for True MD and not good enough to play for True National

True National: A cool roster for a touring national team you can get on but won't play unless your kid is 6'1" and from Illinois, or the fastest kid in Minnesota.

True Outlaws: Cool name but just a club in NC (Outlaws) that True bought last week.

Nice Rundown ! True is a money grab giving parents a dream to the top. Marketing overcomes its dismal results over the years...... Truly : ) remarkable.

Concur, Predators are talk of Baltimore and BLC talk of DMV. Both top 5 before end of summer

People posting about braggy country club hearsay regarding sixth graders is exactly what makes people detest lacrosse.

None of this is real. It’s just people stirring the pot. BLC did not add any 2027s and no one is predicting HoCo top 5.

Pretty safe bet in a bracket in a bracket with Igloo and Sweetlax which won’t be within 10 goals. Long Island Express game might be a little more competitive but Madlax is better. Final game against either BBL or Express North is the only game that might be in doubt. Should have grouped the teams for more competitive wins. Madlax vs Igloo is a waste of everyone’s time.

Agree. Madlax ducked the tougher schedule. Per usual.

I guess Preds wasn’t available to schedule for the three peat?

Maybe the talk of Madlax DMV. Fall Brawl Crabs/BLC game??
Top 5 would mean they leapfrogged one of these teams:
MadLax, Hawks, FCA, NL, Crabs.

Precisely, All roads to the top must go thru the Predators to be legit.

Madlax missing 4 key starters… which is standard for a lot of teams in the fall. Doubt it will matter, as they’re head and shoulders above these teams at NAL. Playing short against Hawks or Venom would be a real problem if they had shown up with the rest of their teams at NAL, but who knows.

The two best teams in this event are Madlax and LI Express. Next best are BBL and Wxpress North. 1 and 4, 2 and 3 on their respective sides, just as it should be. Madlax not ducking anyone. They’ve played Next Level, West Coast Starz, Thunder Blue, and a Preds 2027 in what has been a lackluster fall schedule around the DMV. Name me a team that has played a “tough” schedule this fall.

LOL at Thunder Blue and Preds! That’s really the best you can come up with! Do you just hand over your credit card to Cabel or does he at least ask first? Four tournaments this fall and Madlax will play at most 3 or 4 games against decent teams. That’s a lot of travel and money for very few quality opponents.

Yes, the double holdbacks at Madlax are "head and shoulders above these teams at NAL" but that is because the other teams are actually on age.

The sweet sixteen tournament had better competition than NAL.

And yes Madlax is ducking tougher teams as they always do. As just said they will have played about 15 games this fall and most were against ……. Opponents.

Oh, right, the event where the Hawks got smoked by 4 by a middle level Freedom team? Yeah, great lineup that one. Classic.

Probably not a Hawks parent that wrote that but Sweet 16 was good competition for a fall play day. 3D NE is a top tier team and will be in the mix this summer. The Freedom game was strange but Hawks were full strength and other than new players with limited practice, freedom can hold their head high for the upset. The hawks were noticeably better the next tournament without giving up a goal in three games. Good luck to the NAL teams this weekend, it would have been nice to be there (over half of the hawks play AAco football). Shocked if ML doesn’t win it and I hope they get some good games to close out a pretty [ChillLaxin] hum fall for this age group.

Yeah, not a great slate of games this fall for anyone, no heavyweight tilts. Need to get Hawks, Madlax, and Venom in the same cage. Throw in WCS, too. Would be a great round robin

Gents,

I have decided to expand the Bored MD Dad rankings to 20 for the end of fall and will unveil a separate Maryland top 10 so our friends at the top of AAA can join in the fun and to increase my rankings influence against the coming onslaught from the US Club rankings. Rankings forthcoming Sunday evening after the tournaments this weekend.

But to complete The People’s Rankings, I need help with a couple of teams. For the Maryland rankings, can anyone point me to any results from the top Blue Claws team for the fall? For the national rankings, does anyone know if 2way Black played any off tourney machine games or tournaments?

Blue Claws beat some very weak competition at the Aloha Cup.

IMHO Blue Claws doesn’t deserve any national ranking recognition until they actually play someone good. Same goes for Kelly Post and honestly Crabs for that matter.
