Better to be on Surge - less Daddy ball, everyone gets a shot

Any different than Be the B actualky being the turtles and other club kids?

I'm a venom parent and i haven't heard of any venom kid playing with surge. 91 pride yes, but not surge.

This daddy ball thing is so dense already. Give it up.

I'm not a 91 parent but I don't think it's daddy ball no more they poched a lot of talent and have a strong team.

I love these 91 parents that play dense and say Venom kids don's play on Surge. Your program is a joke! Stop drinking the Kool-Aid.

What's the story with the other teams? A lot of CT teams and a Crabs team from Florida? Looks like Three Village is the only town based team. BTB, are they affiliated with the turtles?

The difference would be that btb kids are actually on the btb team. But that being said I don’t think surge uses venom kids, they are doing fine on there own. So it’s a mute point.

How would you feel if your child was on Surge and Venom kids were coming down and playing? Taking playing time away from your child after you paid all that tuition money.

I am not on Legacy but I know for a fact that Lumberjax do not come down and play on the Dune Dawgs.

Igloo does that same as 91.

Turtles and BTB are not the same program so if those parents want to pay two tuitions that is their choice.

Express is just like 91 and Igloo. So is Rebels.

They’ll bury a kid on the bench on Venom and never let him step on the field - how is that an opportunity to improve? Look at their older teams - they replace loyal kids with holdbacks from out of state. 5 Coaches on a team? Guess what? Take a seat behind those 5 kids who are all playing for free, on your dime.

Has there been ANY instance this fall of a rostered Venom player playing with Surge in a scrimmage or tournament? I have no knowledge of such action.

As for daddy ball, playing time, money, the program going down-thank you for the warning. I'll keep my eye out if those situations become a detriment to my son's development and best interest. That being said, no club or situation is perfect and there are choices out there each with their flaws and tradeoffs.

Exactly. I really don’t think any current venom kids have played with surge this year. Maybe in the past they helped out havoc but don’t think it’s happening this year.

Why did igloo northmen pull out of fall classic?

If the venom face off kid is from dix hills , he played with surge and took majority of face offs at the farmingdale college tourney 2 weeks ago

My sons plays on Rebels. Could really care less where you rank team. Coaching is off the charts good. 60 plus practices throughout year. They have now done a service for training, and video taping for team. Communication is 2 Nd to none. To me it’s by far best all around club on island. Thx Rebels, well done.

Rebels LC social media presence and promotion is light years ahead of any club. Makes every other club look like they’re still using flip phones and dial up connections. It helps that most of their Directors are 30-somethings (or younger) with zero of their own kids in the program. The old boy directors at Express and 91 have been very slow in embracing new platforms. 91 still sends out email newsletters (yawn). You can say it doesn’t matter but film is the best introduction you can have to a College Coach and having an in-house social media promoter is absolutely a competitive advantage.

Film? These boys are in 6th grade. I love how Rebels always have to bring the conversation back to their program when other teams are being discussed. Rebels will always be he ugly stepsister.

That is great! But how is team 2028? Can they beat top teams? Your kid won’t grow if they only compete against weak competition.

I am glad rebels social media is top of the line. Rebels players can post stuff on their instagram and brag. Ops, I said Rebels players. I meant to say Rebels dads posting and having everyone think it is the player.

Are you saying Parents shouldn't post clips of their kids? Plenty of non-Rebel activity out there, it's not like they're the only ones.

In all fairness the op keeps talking about the club, just seems odd to post that cheerleading on a 2028 thread.

Surge in the B bracket this weekend, 2029 91 team in the A bracket. Is the 2029 team better than surge……..sure seems that way!!

Genius there is no A/B. Both sides meet in finals. Yes Pride has more difficult schedule it appears.
