And yes - Madlax rigged the alignment to give them the easiest bracket at NAL.

Keep chest thumping ML dads.

Madlax is not playing a 29 team, to your dismay. But the 29 Madlax team is playing two 2028 teams.

And it’s not a Madlax event, it’s Adrenaline. West coast guys.

Did not go well for WCS. But they are second best team in the country behind Madlax.

Not well. Madlax dominating possession, 5-3 final.
But WCS are the second best team in the country, just behind Madlax.

Hilarious— Madlax isn’t even the best team in the mid Atlantic, let alone the country. They have to worry about their neighbor at Next Level before they even think about Hawks or 91 Venom. The rotating west coast all star team prob isn’t even the best in the west. WCS tied a bootleg 91 team from Georgia, lmao.

Last time Madlax played the Hawks, Hawks couldn’t get it over midfield line. LMAO. 7-2.

Those two goals from the opposite restraining line were pretty nice though!

West Coast Starz are not a real team. Not sure why people are comparing them to real teams.

It’s literally the best kids from 20 states.

It seemed to be a fun time for those kids and they showed up with nice jerseys but stop it with the best team in anything talk.

It’s like saying the south team from the senior bowl is better than Penn state. It’s nonsense.

Hawks played Team 91 South, made up of the top 91 players from southern states, including players from 91 Georgia and beat them 13-0. So yeah.. bootleg might be the right term

My son plays WCS. Currently at the airport waiting on our flight home. This was not our top WCS squad, missing many players. If we brought our top team, we beat Madlax by 5. Madlax actually quite unimpressive. They have 3-4 top players they rely on. Top 5 team maybe? They certainly are #1 in self promotion. I’d be more nervous playing 91venom or the Annapolis Hawks maybe.

Good luck to everyone this upcoming year

For what it is worth, I’ve been told by dads at tournaments that Team 91 Georgia is a rebranded 7 Flames Georgia and Team 91 South is a more of a cobbled together team from a variety of different Team 91 locations. Outside of Long Island and Maryland, Team 91 is kind of like True now with interlocking teams all over the place - North Carolina, Colorado, etc.

The 91GA part is accurate. Most live in the same burbs of N Atlanta and the boys practice together regularly (either there or with their rec/school team etc). Skill level comparable to a BLC / Kelly Post AAA squad. About half the parents seem to be from MD/DC/NoVA relocated for work which I thought was interesting. Of course the loudest parents seemed to be Georgia-grown, have no idea what the basic rules of lacrosse are but are as loud as a typical MadLax Dad.....and rock the same awesome look.

Venom is a fantastic team. Can't wait to play them. As for the Hawks....they were #1 for like 3 months. I would add that the WCS team at Adrenaline would 100% beat the Hawks team we murdered at NLF. I know there is a lot of WCS detest on this thread, but they are big, athletic and well coached.

If the 28 Hawks want a shot to beat ML they should come to NAL since they are the only Hawks age group not attending. We are going to be 4 starters short because of football + injuries....so they might have a chance.

As for 91 GA. They weren't bad. I have no idea about their history, who makes up the team, etc. Good kids and parents were great. The DMV will always be a hot bed for lacrosse, but the future lies to the west and south.

OK Hawks dad. If this was a WCS dad he’d know that they were given a goal that didn’t go in, and Madlax controlled possession for about 80% of the game. Nice try though. Next time show up with your full team from all 28 states and give it another try.

To the Hawks or NL dad playing WCS dad (whose son probably plays for Nationals who ML smoke this past summer on the same fields).....it was 5 goals by 4 different players. Our attack turned the ball over on the ride multiple times and they couldn't clear... At least figure out the details before trolling.

What are you talking about? I think that’s exactly why was said. Madlax parents all in their feelings about beating up on crappy teams and worried what others will think.

Not a ML 2028 fan at all, but I have to admit that while the coach and parents were "their usual selves" the ML Hammerhead Parents award of the weekend goes to the 2029 ML parents. The best moments were during every game I saw them face a 2028 squad, and also in line at the concession stand, the ML 2029 parents, decked out in ML gear, would prattle on about "Well, you know, those other boys are a year older, so.....it's not really even fair."

Seriously, tell me more Susan and Audra, about the unfairness of having older kids play younger kids! And because it's ML, I am confident those same parents will forget their concern the first time their ML 2029s get to tee off on a 2030 squad.

99% chance this was just a troll, but I love the idea of people flying coast to coast to play with a crappy skeleton version of their team.

Got to feel good about your team when the entire west coast unites to fly east - and still lose to a local club.

There was an *abundance* of WCS jerseys at ADR Gold Cup. They are owned by the same company as Adrenaline and this was basically supposed to be their east coast recruiting tour, or as I guess west coast hipster dads would call it, "East Coast Expression Session, Dudes." Some of the dads looked like that classic website / meme "Amish or Hipster?" But I digress.

"Missing key players" come on. WCS has been getting parents hyped on that event for the past year.

Troll comment not ML 2028 fan. ML 28/29s never played any of the teams they faced on Sunday. So u were just hanging around the 28 and 29 games and know all about the parents and coaches? Call me Johnny Suspect.

These little man Madlax parents and coach just keep doubling down on these boards. They must really think they’re never going to lose again.

What does this even have to do with anything? ML could lose any of a handful of teams. And probably will at some point. It’s 6th grade.

The post was about *literally* half the country forming a team and chest thumping about *almost* beating a local club.

Even if you’d won how is that an accomplishment?

When do the 2028 rankings come out?

With fall tournaments almost over this will surely get folks super fired up about how awful they are.

The only team on here chest thumping is Madlax. And your logic is about as sound as your reasoning. Do you really think WCS is made up of the best players west of the Mississippi? Seriously, do you really think that?

West Coast Stars actually says that they are, on their own website. Are they lying?

“GUARANTEED TO OPEN THE DOOR TO COLLEGIATE LACROSSE FOR THE WESTERN PLAYER”

West Coast Starz is the premiere national club lacrosse program west of the Mississippi. Since its inception in 2006, WCS has been the #1 club in the West and has produced more NCAA players than any other club program in the country. The club has also produced countless NCAA All Americans and a Tewaarton award winner. West Coast Starz begins in sixth grade and runs through senior year of high school. Rosters are made up of the most elite players of strong character and academic prowess who aspire to play at the collegiate level. Players join WCS by participating in a formal tryout, are recommended by local and college coaches, and are evaluated at Adrenaline events over the year by the Adrenaline Evaluation Team (AET). WCS players compete in the nation’s top summer/fall recruiting events against the best clubs in the country where they receive the ultimate collegiate exposure.

They never played those teams before, therefore the ML parents were somehow unable to comment on their 29s playing 28s from other clubs? How does that work.

To even partly believe that, I'd have to believe that ML parents have no reputation, whatsoever, for popping off un-self-aware comments in public in front of other kids' parents (granted, usually as their boys are beating the snot out of those other kids).

The problem with that theory is that they consistently do that.exact.thing.

Right. We can argue whether any of this is true "countless NCAA All Americans!"

But certainly "BeSt oF tHe WeSt!" is what they are trying to sell.

Of course we are going to lose again. Quite frankly, it doesn't bother me one iota. We could lose at NAL.....but irritating the washed up (mostly Maryland-based) lax dads on this thread is too much fun to stop, however. Also, without ML beating all of your regularly - and for quite some time i might add - u wouldn't have anything to talk about on BOTC.
