Maverick is by far the Best showcase around but that being said there are many to do and if your son is any good they will find you .... But also you need be in reality as to where your son stands ..... Agreed. Maverick has been one of the best if not the best. But there are so many good ones. Top players get invited to so many pick and choose wisely. Remember this class is still a few years away from recruiting.

i assume, when the time is right , the best coaches will have a presence at the top 10 showcases , assuming your kid is any good, im sure he will get into a few of the better ones and have more than 1 opportunity to shine

The problem with a lot of these showcases including maverick is the politics. kids show up don't score a goal in 3 games and still make the all-star team- how does this even happen? you see it at almost every event . coaches kid or directors kid shows up, performs average at best and makes the all-star team-

Players can make impact plays and show their worth/talent without scoring. Hustle plays like battling for a key loose ball or reaching the end line after a shot.... Setting a pick to free up a shooter.... Causing a turnover to start transition the other way. I'm not saying politics don't play a role, but scoring isn't the only thing that makes a good player

NLF team rankings 91 Shock at #3 and Express at #11. So much for LI dominance.

im just saying if your gonna splash all over social media that so and so is the best attackman or best middi etc, and they go out there and perform poorly, maybe they shouldnt be automatically on the all star team etc - 14/15/16 year old kids being given everything regardless

It's hilarious when the "All Stars" or "Players To Watch" lists come out. It's all about who knows who and which daddy is running the program. Or the directors are running it and trying to hype up their own players. But to be honest how could they tell who the best is when they're barely watching the games and honestly don't even care after the checks have cleared.

Why are so many also looking for the worst part or negative in every situation?

Why figure out a way to play more games and get more matchups between some of these clubs.

Igloo went off at NAL....NOT.... 1 win... Guess the A/B combo experiment isnt working out as planned (whatever that plan wa$).... This weekend's performance answers the question of why you would put your "A" team in a "B" team tournament the week before.

After that it's all the others battling for your hard earned dollars and the promise of college recruitment. There is a college for everybody to play at the next level, D1, D2, D3, MCLA. Choose your education over lacrosse than figure it out later.

Igloo is not an elite team by any standard and certainly not in the same class as 91 or even express. But hey, they look great when they bring their A team to B tournaments. Are their parents that narcissistic that they think it's worthwhile for them to play in B tournaments and brag about it. The entire organization stinks from the top down.

I think the point is when you call yourself an A team and regularly lose to other A teams it show poorly. Then to compound the problem, you enter a B tournament and play all your A kids at the expense of your B kids...

And especially with their set up at the expense of their B kids. But his post about NAL makes it sound like they got blown out, which is far from the actual story. Im not an igloo parent, just don’t get what makes someone care enough to post about it and then lie. We can all find the results on our own.

Not sure where you see that someone said Igloo got blasted. What was said is that Igloo is clearly not an elite team. The results speak for themselves, last year and so far this year. With many teams playing on LI this weekend lets see who shows up. Football is over for HS so most roster should have their players. If you're not competitive this fall I don't see how drastically things would change come spring.

I guess legacy can not invite it’s team back next year after that performance. I’m not sure what you expected out of Legacy. When you take a bunch of mediocre kids off of one team and mix them with mediocre kids from another team, you’re going to get a mediocre team with a new name. With the exception of that big lefty, I didn’t see any high level kids. But in their defense, I only saw one full game and one half game. Igloo was different. They looked like they had a bunch of talented kids, but they just didn’t play well together. Maybe that can be fixed with reps, but as of this fall, they are A not AA. Legarush is low end A/solid B.

You just summed up the program who takes the shiny new toys each season instead of developing the players they have. Not every kid will stay with the program but when you see 15 new faces each year on a team of course there won't be chemistry. The players and parents bounce from program to program because the grass is always greener. Evaluators fall in love with the big new kid, but guess what, there is a reason they played for 5 different programs. Won't pass, takes too many shots, sound familiar? Be careful what you wish for. Just because you have 50 kids on a roster doesn't mean your doing anything right.

you guys come on here and criticize 14 year old lacrosse it is pathetic . You all should worry about your kid only , dont worry about any other team or kid . I bet because your kid was so good he had UNC looking at your games . Go get a life because 98% of these kids are not going to high end Division 1

Truth is they don't have enough for a full B team. They will bring half of their A players (Northface) and claim they are Flurry. Facts. We personally know several players on claim they are on "both" teams. Shame on the organization for playing down in tournaments and on the parents who claim that they're just getting more playing time. How the B team parents put up with it is nuts. $ucker$
