Good slate of games in Blandair next week. Does madlax go 3-0? (Probably) Does VLC have enough to play with the top teams? (Good club, I hope they do) Which team will surprise? (Mesa maybe) Not a lot stock in fall but good to see the variety of team mixing it up. Delaware sweet lax event should also have some good ones but nothing on the machine yet. VLC dad again: There are some very good individual players but they literally don’t all know each other’s names yet let alone plays, slides, etc., so not holding my breath for MD.

Where is crabs playing this fall? Cavs had two 2028 teams -- the upper one broke up after a critical mass moved to VLC, but the other Cavs team is still around.

If Cavs 2028 A moved to VLC 2028, why doesn't the team know names and plays and slides? Seems in conflict with what the "VLD Dad" is saying.

Because the upper Cavs 2028 skipped (or quit) most of the spring and probably would have learned slides and plays from a HoCo season they bailed on. Fresh start for those kids on VLC.

I guess though............if Preds even keep it close in those three games, that's better than 95% of MD "clubs" could do. Popcorn please. Also a question: Why do the Preds have fake troll posters all over this board but (checks notes) VLC has none? That level of stealth trolling dedication seems personal. We need some bitter Cavs or Express dads posting fake VLC boasts ASAP.

Whatever, seriously what is there for VLC or Preds to lose right now? even if they lose every game, nobody will remember come April (where both will enter HoCo at AAA), and the coaches will know *exactly* where the holes are vs. what can be realistically coached up. The realistic question for both clubs is can they build their roster to seriously compete at Elite for Summer ball 2023 and HoCo 2024 (8th grade) Before that doesn't even seem realistic, the existing elite teams have so much built-in team dynamic with their long time roster (even if that's only half of kids), hard to beat.

Going to be hard to be AAA given they are new teams with no track record. HOCO will give preference to existing AAA teams that have been around for years. Also, Team MD went undefeated in AA and will likely come up. Only AAA team from last year definitely out is HOCO Pink which no longer exists.

Nah, good will put them in elite like they did for Cavs, HLC and true Kp. I was wondering that same thing. The fact is, there's about 10 teams already in Elite, looks like 12+ in AAA, and a HUGE dropoff to AA (Sidewinders, Diamondbacks etc). If I had to bet, it ends up looking like: 8 Elite Teams + KP and possibly Blue Claws, minus BLC = 10 Elite Teams 6 of 12 AAA Teams (top half plus BLC) remain at AAA. Maybe Preds and VLC here too 6 of 12 AAA Teams (bottom half) reclass to AA. Maybe Preds and VLC here? Definitely T91. Probably Team MD stays here. AA wholesale reclass to A, which honestly is where clubs like Sidewinders, Koopers etc have a really good fit), maybe the top 2-3 teams from A stay in A ? A wholesale reclass to B (new division)

There were 7 elite teams last year.
The optimal number is probably 8 for this year so that no one needs a bye. That means either blue claws or KP will be considered. The problem is these teams will likely get weaker as middle school progresses and the best players move to the blue blood clubs. That’ll work itself out later.
AAA is a logjam and is shaping up to be a really good division.
Next Level has a B team now. Are the AAA or a AA like Madlax B team? Hawks and FCA have the two strongest B teams - with FCA probably the better of the two.
True usually makes everything worse so no idea of Eastside/True DC moves down or stays put.
So that brings back to Preds/VLC. Good on both of them for registering for a top level tournament right out the gate. It will tell where there are with a few weeks of practice and will also give the trolls a few weeks worth of ammo.
What tournaments are True Annapolis and Crabs doing?

A wholesale reclass to B (new division) Elite only had 7 teams last year - Madlax, Hawks, FCA, NL, Crabs, True, and BLC. I think all seven of those stay in elite. BLC will stay. Then elite will add 1 or 3 teams. Those will come from True KP, Blue Claws, VLC, or Predators. If VLC and Preds are weak in the fall, my guess is they play at AAA or AA and then you end up with an 8 team elite with whoever of True KP or Blue Claws wants to be there. Obviously there is a strong imbalance between the top 4 teams (hawks, Madlax, FCA, NL) and whoever the bottom 2 are (probably BLC and either True KP or Blue Claws.). And then you have crabs and true Annapolis in the middle.

Do t worry. VLC will get at least one win- over the Predators. When are they set up to play each other, except in the apparently 15-team-deep HoCo AAA bracket next spring? They're not playing each other in MD -- schedule is up on Tourney Machine: Preds play MadLax, Mesa and Bethesda. Sheesh. That's a test. Exactly both are playing in a good tournament to see where they are at and holes to fill. Heads will explode here if either gets two wins. Preds get one win, there will be some crow to eat here.
