Private without any doubt if you are looking to go D1. You can make it in Public, but it is so much harder. Look at MIAA commitments, many arent even that good besides playing in college rule MIAA league. But look how many are committed. And the majority will not see the field in D1. I have to agree. So many of the MIAA D1 commits are just not that great and won't see the field, but it was worth the cost if you can get admitted to an Ivy or an Academy. Send him wherever he wants to go-hopefully with his friends and hot chicks. Lacrosse and any other sport he plays will dictate itself. If he his a stud he will make no matter where he goes. I would say don’t follow any advice from this person. Maybe he’s got it right? Friends and hot chicks will make for a great college experience! Lacrosse is just a means of getting into one with the hottest chicks… right?! Nothing wrong with that advice. Lol Hot chicks quickly turn into 2 kids and a vicious divorce. Go for the quality degree at an Ivy or Academy.

1 - BL- lots returning and defense will get coached up. B st coaching staff in the MIAA 2 - CHC - return of attackman could help but could also hurt. Too many guys want and hold the ball too long. Very selfish team. 3.) McD - still strong starting line up. Bench will be very thin. new freshman not as good as advertised. 4 - Loyola . Despite their terrible head coach and staff, the heavy set coach is a donkey who was a FOGO in college because he couldn’t play in the field, they have talent which will coach themselves with the help of some fathers in the stands. Freshman attackman from last year will really needs to develop both physically an athletically. 5 - AS - still have talent off field BS , whether true or not, will be a distraction . 6 - Gilman - overall still a very young team. All their top offensive players are sophomores. Top goalie, defense will need to get better but will continue to get better through the year. Very unusual team composite…. Sophomore dominate team. No juniors play any significant roles —-a few decent seniors. New head coach needs to upgrade assistants… especially offensive.
MSM Mt St Joe JC Saint Pauls might not be so terrible now that they pulled one of the best coaches in the country out of Towson and have him back working for the school he teaches at. I feel bad for Towson. Coach Broc made that team one that could beat any one on any given day. Sorry he is stuck at St. P.

Guy ran the same offense no matter how terrible it was or other team knew it better than his O did. Only thing that will save St P is that they have the Predators feeding them now. Talk of Baltimore

Looking over last years rosters of Final 8 in NCAA playoffs, ND has 1, UVA a 2, Duke 0, NC 6 , Georgetown 4, Rutgers 1 , Loyola 5 and MD has a bunch 7. A few actually start and play but majority ride the bench. MIAA aint what it used to be.

Until St. Paul stops being the snowflake landing spot for lax players they will never compete in MIAA. They need a different quality student body. SOFT

All these fuss in Baltimore over getting D1 this and that, holding back, best club , hit the wall, pay entire team to transfer, arent getting great results. Maybe I am missing something.

While that is impressive, I doubt more than a a few ever start or play. That was the point, not if they could get recruited. The league and schools get them looks. Year of playing have made MIAA players highly skilled with stickwork and IQ which gets them recruited. That was all that was needed to play D1 years ago. Now with influx of a bunch of very athletic players ( some less skilled) from all over country, it is becoming harder and harder for MIAA players to see the field. As the coach says, I can teach skills, but I cant teach athleticism and speed.

MIAA has great quality of players and games, No one denies that, They had Pat Spencer, Hancock and Logan Wisnauskas even tho i think he is 24/25, all great players, But each year it seems they have been having less actually play on field. I hope it changes, but it is what it is,,

And less than 4 or 5 players from those 8 teams with rosters of 45+ actually saw the field. And one of those was a holdback/redshirt/extracovidyear player. MIAA is getting a reputation as good skilled practice players.

Great HS lacrosse is played in MIAA. We were talking about players that actually play in D1 from there. First statement was that a bunch get committed, just not a lot see the field form such a highly recruited league.

The MIAA conference as a whole is hands down the best in the world. Show me another conference that has its teams, top to bottom, ranked higher. The best in MD/DC: https://www.laxnumbers.com/ratings.php?y=2021&v=3206The best in the Mid Atlantic Region: https://www.laxnumbers.com/ratings.php?y=2021&v=3002And the best in the nation: https://www.laxnumbers.com/ratings.php?y=2021&v=3000

And less than 4 or 5 players from those 8 teams with rosters of 45+ actually saw the field. And one of those was a holdback/redshirt/extracovidyear player. MIAA is getting a reputation as good skilled practice players. Then tell what league is better maryland public…..lol Nice Strawman...who said they weren't a good league?? Great HS lacrosse is played in MIAA. We were talking about players that actually play in D1 from there. First statement was that a bunch get committed, just not a lot see the field form such a highly recruited league. Numbers or it's all smoke and unsubstantiated bs. The MIAA conference as a whole is hands down the best in the world. Show me another conference that has its teams, top to bottom, ranked higher. The best in MD/DC: https://www.laxnumbers.com/ratings.php?y=2021&v=3206The best in the Mid Atlantic Region: https://www.laxnumbers.com/ratings.php?y=2021&v=3002And the best in the nation: https://www.laxnumbers.com/ratings.php?y=2021&v=3000Wow, You are a little Sensitive Sam. Relax, no one is saying that the Mighty MIAA isnt a great conference. Comprehension of words must not be your strong point.

The links you shared have some school records wrong, so they are not a reliable source. Do you have any other sources?

The links you shared have some school records wrong, so they are not a reliable source. Do you have any other sources? There is no real perfect source for High School Lacrosse. They all have some issues. Most do ok at best with rankings. Max Preps would be a good source for rankings but the MIAA is too good to post scores there.

11 teams in the A conference. 26 kids in the final 8 NCAA D1 tourney from one league, not state, is pretty impressive. And less than 4 or 5 players from those 8 teams with rosters of 45+ actually saw the field. And one of those was a holdback/redshirt/extracovidyear player. First statement was that a bunch get committed, just not a lot see the field form such a highly recruited league. In 2019 there were 4 MIAA alums on 1st team AA and 14 total. I believe there were 10 MIAA AAs this past season. There are roughly 20 MIAA grads in PLL. Which league would have comparable numbers? BTW in the 80's 90s etc there were plenty of stars from the league that became benchwarmers in college. No secret that great athletes are playing lacrosse all over the country and are getting good coaching.

MIAA is a highly recruited conference and has many skilled players and has for years. Getting back to the main point what started this, each year in D1, it seems less and less are seeing the field due to the athletes and athleticism of many players from other non hot bed areas. It is fewer than years ago when most top teams had many MIAA players actually playing. Hopefully that changes

You could actually search yourself. Or just keep believing everything that's posted here.

BL a few years ago was ranked # 1 , great team with Shack and company. All the seniors should have been college freshman. But man, they played well in HS.
