[quote=Anonymous]Just heard Nassau and Suffolk PAL are joining up this year. Should make for some strong competition. Top 10 2028 Long Island PAL teams? In no particular order: Harborfields, West I, GC, Manhasset, Wantagh. In Suffolk it’s usually smithtown and East islip. There is no smithtown 2028 this year from the sounds of it.[/quote Yep because of the toxic 2028 parents who think little Johnny is getting a D1 scholarship!

No need to drive more than 15/20 minutes. I agree — who thought this was a good idea? They should make the leagues smaller - Western Suffolk, Central, and Eastern. Who wants to travel from Rockville Center to Westhampton for a youth lacrosse game? What is the benefit of a larger league other than for those involved to pat themselves on the back and brag about creating the largest youth lacrosse program in the country? I guarantee cost of participation goes up along with zero benefit to the participants. Thanks guys, super job.

But they are making some town neutral sites in order to prevent teams from traveling way out in either directions.

Modernize the rules and stop with the baby ball. Get rid of the pass rules, face off no matter the goal difference, clearing rules and please stop making the goalies wear shin and arm pads.

The fees go up every year, meanwhile the quality of Officiating and Coaching have plummeted. The better teams prepare their players for the next level and some even have Varsity players helping out, which benefits everyone. Other programs have no contact with their Varsity staffs and are manned by Dads who never played whose only motivation is to make sure their superstar gets his PT.

I guess most aren’t fans of PAL merging. But it is going to be nice to play some different towns that we never get to see. So the traveling will stink. But games should be more interesting.
