It's disgusting how the express parents always have an excuse!

Team LI had a decent showing also, beat a Titanium team their first game, lost a close one to Freedom (4-0 in pool, lost to fl$ in the Semis) and then imploded in the heat to a larger, more athletic Mid West Select team. The lose to Mid West Select kept them out of the playoffs.

They redeemed there selves on Sunday with wins against CNY Roadhawks and the Jesters (who beat Mid West Select) . The LI rivalry got a little heated as a few scrums brokeout, the game was called early with TLI comfortably ahead.

Ah, there it is...the old "the head coach was at a different game" excuse.

and the other old "We never played together until today"...

It gets VERY quiet on these boards when The Express teams don't win tournaments.

Also "heard" about St Anthony's JV coach, but probably only a rumour. Anyone know this for certain.

MC was fired they are activley looking for a new coach.

totally agree. the only comments about express are from ignorant parents whose kids are not on express.

If the rumors are true, it may not of been his choice to make. I'm sure the AD and school administration was involved as well.

West Coast Starz have played together many times. As recently as april they played in Maryland.

Not true. This is just drivel put out by someone whose kid was cut.

Terps and Turtles both played well. They changed the format after the first set of games to 8 minute running time. Very hard to mount rallies if you get behind in that structure as one possession can stall out the clock. The heat on the playing field was probably over 100 degrees and it really proved nothing this weekend. Dukes won and get credit for doing so, bur really it was a war of attrition as there were lots of injuries across the board.

Does anyone know if college coaches will be at this showcase?

Top of the heap: WC Starz, Turtles, Dukes, and Crabs. Anyone can win on any given day.

Dukes lost to Breakers at Young Gunz but beat Turtles, Crabs beat Dukes in Spring, Turtles beat WCS, WCS beat Crabs in Spring. Depends on who wants it more that day.

That served as the tryouts....they boys live in 7 different states, not exactly like living in GC or Manhasset

Terps Black drop to 5th but since the coach helped with the 2018 team they get a pass and stay at 2!

Crabs done for summer, strong team, haven't played all top teams in Maryland
Breakers lined-up to play FCA in finals of Summer Sizzle, we'll see who can stake claim on #2 (though Crabs didn't play FCA)
VLC come in next, beat FCA at Greene Turtle in OT then lost handily at the All-Met

Has anyone heard of 83 Elite in Baltimore??? They won 1 tourney last fall, lost to LI Express Terps Black in the finals of another and just won at the Atlantic Cup in the U15 A division this past weekend?

Does anyone know if college coaches can attend the Jake Reed/Nike Blue Chip Rising Freshmen camp on July 17-19 at UMBC? I heard from someone at the Brine event, they were not allowed to last year just not sure if that is true or changed for this year. Anyone know the answer?

Terps playing again this weekend

It's the regular Terps with only 8 of the Black team members playing this weekend not the black team.

It's actually the Terp Rainbow team....4 black, 3 red, 2 orange, 1 yellow, 2 green, 4 blue, 1 Indigo and 2 Violet...hopefully MC isn't coaching the 2022 team, dont want to disadvantage the Terps!

Ok Tb loses by 4 and Terps lose by 6 and Mule's 91 team lost to them by 1 in Ocean City and then the Crabs lost to the Dukes. Besides the Turtles can anyone beat these Maryland teams

TB won 2 games at young guns tournament(beat sweetlax and CT Boltz). Lost to crabs 7-3, Denver Elite 4-1 and breakers 8-6. Played well, but could not get offense going. Lots of great scoring opportunites, but too many turnovers.
