I definitely can see a 5th division for the 2028s.
There are additional teams at almost every level.

Be interesting to see if HoCo lets the new clubs in predators and VLC jump right into AAA over established clubs who played last season.
Team MD has earned the spot and outside of hoco pink (and maybe 91?) none of the AAA teams really should be forced to drop down.

Doesn't Next Level have a 2nd team? They may be a AAA team. 91 was pretty weak last year, can see them dropping to AA. Fall tournaments will help decide where to put the teams.

If you're kid can't handle a holdback, or playuimng up 2 years, he's gonna be in a ton of trouble if he plays in the MIAA. Public he will be fine.

Faceoff going to be an huge advantage for Hawks. Madlax and NL lack a true fogo. FCA kid was decent last year and True fogo is apparently moving down to 29 so the Hawks 27 kid should dominate.

Unless they have more than 10 teams there may be no room for VLC in AAA. Forest hill, HLC, FCA White, Cannons, Hawks Black, Eastside, 91, and whoever stays in AAA out of KP and blue claws make 8. Team MD is probably 9. Then there is cavs, VLC, predators and probably someone else who pops up asking for the 10th. Given how cavs were hosed last year hoco should let the play wherever they want.

Cavs were hosed??? You've got to be kidding me. You mean Cavs quit on the league and screwed up the entire Elite division! They should be banned from the league for not showing for a game.

Take any decent player and hold them back a year and they are great. Should everyone do it? It’s developmental at younger ages 1 year is a huge advantage

I agree with the poster who said the NL second team may be a factor. And ML DMV. They added some good players. The fall tourneys will decide.

This is one of favorite debates on here, but allow me to summarize the next 10 or so posts: Poster 1: “Cavs owed it to all of mid-Atlantic lax to play elite!” P2: “No they didn’t, they didn’t agree to play in that division!” P1: “It is a gross moral failing if they don’t blindly agree to play wherever HoCo says! They will be forever scarred and America as we know it is over!” Random P3: “Is this still about youth lacrosse?”

Cavs said They weren’t playing elite from day zero. Hoco ignored them and put them in elite.
Lol why should the cavs organization and parents have PAID THEIR MONEY to do something they didn’t want to do?
Because hoco had an administrative failure?

This conversation about the Cavs in HoCo last spring is irrelevant. The team is completely toast, not even sure they have a 28 team anymore. Everybody left for VLC and a few kids went elsewhere as well. One is a Madlax, a couple ended up at BLC but the vast majority are at VLC.
VLC seems to be the shiny new toy on NOVA. May take a couple of years, but they should become competitive at least at the AAA level if not elite.

He’s not the oldest kid. Tons of summer birthdays. Sadly this argument won’t end when this Hawks team runs the table in everyone again next year. Doubt any of you dads will give it up. Take your beatings like (holdback) men.

It's amazing how some of you hold back your kids for a sport. If my kid couldn't succeed in his grade at something we would go play another sport. You guys think you really winning with your 5 thousand dollar scholarship. I don't get but hey my kid is good and could play up

I have no concern, my kid is good enough to play with the older kids haha! You’re the best! What team has kids all the same age? If half the team turns 12 in the fall and the other half in the spring are the fall birthdays all losers who can’t play with kids their own age? I honestly don’t get it. This is such a pointless and boring argument. You’re not upset that older kids are cheating. You’re upset your kid can’t cut it in middle school lacrosse. And those with older kids couldn’t care less what you think. Here’s a tip: this isn’t the end of your son’s career. If he stinks now because he’s smaller then it will even out when he gets bigger. My guess is that he’s just not that into it because his dad makes excuses for him. If lacrosse went to age based the same guys would be on here complaining about those on the advantageous side of whatever the line would be. “Your kid is only good because he’s a January birthday and I feel cheated because mine is a December birthday!” Wah, wah, wah. Get over it or just take your stick and go home. You’re embarrassing yourself.

We'll see how long the Hawks hold it together now that Hogan has sold the program (and his tourney business) to a faceless corporate entity. Once his payout is completed, I suspect the players gravitate elsewhere over time. Maybe I am wrong....but I doubt it.

There's only (or "only" lol) about 25 MD kids in the 2022 Top 100, primarily Hawks, 91 and Crabs in that order. How many are holdbacks? A third? Half?. The vast majority of the other 75 NOT from MD are not holdbacks. What does it say about the lacrosse product out of the state of MD that we have to hold back large numbers of players to maintain our relevance re: high caliber college recruits and high ranked clubs? Just saying.
