Quit the sob story. People open and close businesses all the time. It’s their right to do so. There’s plenty of lacrosse and lacrosse clubs in that area. Stop making it seem like it’s the end of the world and blowing the situation out of proportion. When you’re done feeling sorry for yourself, go find another club to play for or just play rec and school ball. Mesa director? Sorry, but it was not cool to give the teams no warning. You know it. Agree. Left with my older kid many moons ago. Was a sudden shift to few practices far away from the good hs. And suddenly playing no name tournaments against no competition to trophy chase. Team talent nose dived. Obvious if you were paying attention.

So now that tryouts are done who had the most turnover or improved the most? Rumor has it (on this board) that the Hawks were so upset with the couple of losses in June and July that they convinced the entire Spalding varsity team to re-class to the eighth grade at Slade and they will now be the Hawks 2026 team. Crabs 26, upon hearing this, started their own school and have taken Towson University men's varsity team as their inaugural eighth grade class. But someone lurking on this board will remind us all the the smart money is on the Predators. They are the new power in town. But they are. Goes without saying the Predators will dominate this year, Glad you did anyway, New Sheriff in town.

So now that tryouts are done who had the most turnover or improved the most? I would say the Hawks based on the talent they already have and it appears they have added a few more; not sure if they cut anyone to make room. I think crabs would be 2nd; sounds like they brought in some out of state ringers, some holdbacks and the entire Looneys starting defense. King Crab working hard to stay relevant. Have not heard much from Madlax and DC Express appears to be Black-ops. 91 apparently has added some 25's based on what is being said on this board, but I heard they were non-factors for the 2025 team which added 2025 crabs players. FCA is falling apart it appears and it sounds like Looney's got one of their big middies but not much more. Based on all of those rumors - Hawks dominated again followed by Crabs DC Express Madlax 91 Looneys FCA and whoever else thinks they' elite How about seeing how it all plays out. All these teams will be relevant, with good players. See you all in the fall.

I don't think it is correct that DCE is now Black Ops. The normal progression is that BLC becomes DCE in 8th grade. For 2021 Black Ops was formed as a world series team, as a three team combination (VLC, NextLevel, and BLC) to establish superiority over the MadLax world series team, a goal that they definitely accomplished, and of course to make money, which they also accomplished. The Black Ops head coach happens to be the DCE coach, so there were rumors of VLC and NL player migration to DCE, and the coach and BLC families probably tried to make that happen, but in the end there was little to no movement. So DCE is what it normally would be, an extension of the 2026 BLC team, plus 2025 holdbacks and whomever else they can recruit. The Black Ops team might reassemble occasionally for tournaments, and will have overlapping players with DCE, but they are not the same team.

I just saw next spring's standings. Predators already won AAA and got a special dispensation to be a 3 seed in Elite. It is pretty special.

BL is for kids that can’t get into any of the other private schools and their parents are whiling to waste $130,000 for a terrible high school “education”.

HOCO and Cannons will move up to AAA and both have a very strong roster and will be a real force this year. Not sure who will be moved down yet.

Preds are weaker the koopers Predators are Koopers of a few years ago when Koopers was winning everything. Now they have a HS to feed, it will be not fall apart like Koopers did and be a competition to Crabs and FCA in North Balt area

Lol hardshells is a joke. They’re being coached by a dad that wasn’t allowed to keep coaching at crabs, despite crab’s low coaching standards. To lure players they’re claiming the kids on there can move up to crabs but it’ll never happen because there’s no room with all the holdbacks and out-of-towners. Why anyone would go on that team to play second fiddle to crabs instead of going to a team where they’ll be appreciated, is beyond me.

Why don’t we all just wait and see what happens in a couple months. This was the year for a lot of movement. Side deals will be done between now and the end of October. Kids will jump before seasons even begin. Happens every year going into 8th grade. Part of the process. It is pointless to make any predictions until the fall season is underway.

Can we please stop with the predators talk. They haven’t even played a game yet and already elite? Great for you being a new club but nobody is really concerned. Your younger team will just take over kids that may of went to looneys. Someone on this and 27 thread is trying to boost them up. And for a club that wasn’t even suppose to have a 26 team now there “going to make noise in elite”. Judging by tryout videos I would say not the case.

Roughriders lost at least 7 and the some of the kids stayed on because they were not offered spots on other teams. Lack of development from coaches.

All that is left is the fogo and little lefty. Cupboard is pretty bare at attack, mid and goal. Some good ones left on defense.
