Why would you sign up for a team if you didn’t know who the coach was?
Why would you sign up for a team of you didn’t know where they practice?
Why would you sign up for a team if you didn’t know what type of tournaments they will participate in?
“Just trust the club” Says people who are chasing a club name, not proper player development. Can anyone name one club team that gives you all this information at tryouts? Hawks HoCo[/quote] What tournaments are they doing?

I’m not sure that’s answering the question of what tournaments. That’s answering how many - which is different.
Not that it matters

Question is will the parents allow the coach to do his job all year? They weren’t happy with him last year. Why do you think so many of the kids went to other tryouts. Only takes losing one or 2 games and there going right to hogan.

Sure not everyone is going to be happy, but the results of robot lax as you call it, speak for themselves. My son loves R2D2! So what are you talking about?

I heard that 7 fca players switched to crabs. True? If so, I hope they’re planning on attending BL and spending the extra $35k to reclass or they’re going to get dropped like the 18 players on 2025 that got cut this year. 2025 crabs currently only has 12 kids on the team.

Is it a requirement to be a complete JAGG Off to have a kid play for “True”? Or even better, are there coaches required to be a JO? I thought the Annapolis chapter grey haired samurai wannabe was the biggest Bag out there. That is until we saw the crew from True NJ and watched two of their dads get tossed from a game in the first half of an 8am start. I can only imagine the gems True will turn up now that they’ve entered the Philly market

Hold M Back Mac is recruiting on social media hard to repair the 2025 team that he and last years coaching staff blew up. Many of that 18 left on their own free will to get away from the current Crabs mess and the mess to come with recruiting out of state for the boarding school(1st priority) going forward. No effort from Mac is what got him to this point... Will be interesting watching this bunch try to get it together with only a few years left at this point.

You guys come to these forums to [ChillLaxin] about Millon and McCleran and yet they are the only ones truly helping their kids in their programs. They helping their players get into the top academic schools for high school and college. Hawks kids are now migrating up to Gilman, McD and BL because they are better schools then what’s available in the Annapolis area.... Severn is decent but on the lower end of the best academic schools and Spaulding and St Mary’s don’t even make the list. So what’s wrong with what they are doing? They don’t tell the kids to hold back it’s the schools that come to these teams practices to recruit who dictate the need to do so.

I can only imagine the gems True will turn up now that they’ve entered the Philly market How many True clubs are there? Annapolis? Baltimore, Eastern Shore? Also True Kelly Post and True DC (formerly Eastside) True is a true national program, based in Illinois, with franchises all over the country. The guys at the top have good lacrosse resumes and are good businessmen, assuming that you define good business as raking in tons of money. They are like the McDonalds of lacrosse. According to their web page they have programs in 17 states, including unusual places like Idaho and Indiana. It is actually pretty cool that there is demand for lacrosse in all those places and that somebody has found a way to cash in. In lacrosse rich areas like Maryland and Virginia, True teams pop up everywhere, almost faster than you can keep track. The quality of these teams and the experience provided to the boys is extremely uneven. The Illinois teams are their flagship and in some age groups are very good. Some Annapolis teams are good too. But other teams are an embarrassment. I heard that one of the Virginia programs had literally SIX teams practicing at one on the same field at Marymount, so each of the six teams just ran line drills and star drills for an hour. They have A teams and B teams which they often combine for tournaments. And, some of the coaches on these zillions of teams are obviously unqualified. But as long as families continue to sign up, you will see more and more True teams everywhere.

Ok you both can go back to 25 thread or complain more on crabs. Here at 27 we like to stick to trashing true and stirring up hawks parents. Almost forgot worrying about the biggest threat to all elite teams predators!

But they have yet to compete athletically - specifically lacrosse - on a consistent basis. They have a good young team but let’s see if they can sustain before comparing them to Gilman or McD.

Severn is trying to be a top academic school that will hopefully separate them from the lower academic schools like St M and Spaulding. The list is on line. Gilman was #1 followed by Bryn Mar( one of Gilman sister schools) Hilton Arm ( a girls school in Bethesda then some other Montgomery county private schools I haven’t heard of the G’town prep and McD was close to them. BL was the next MIAA school somewhere further down on the list followed by St P then Loyola and way down CH. There are multiple list out there that rank by different criteria but the pecking order is basically the same.

You dodged a bullet if your kid didn't make, or you declined that team. Ok with the rumors. You may want to get the facts straight so I will give them to you. There were a lot of things that went on with FCA team this year. HEAD coach was playing to parents that complained about there kids playing time instead of playing talent. This included some texting coaches during games. Some kids got short end of that deal and decided not to return to FCA. Head coach left in middle of last tournament the day before championship with no notice which worried some about his commitment to kids. New head coach wasn’t announced till after end of season and from I know was already assisting coaching another club level and high school team so some were concerned . Old head coach was to stay on which was another concern. There was no defensive coach named. All families made this decision on there own including us. It’s was more about playing with friends my son had. We loved the years played at FCA and the kids on team but writing was on the wall. I still wish them the best and especially the kids. Hope this clears everything up.

Heard they did the same thing on their way out of kent island also. Seems to be a pattern. They bought their way into BL also and are paying for other BL tuitions for FCA kids also. He’s the next wanna be rich guy in the MIAA. Good luck to the FCA people that are left. And god help the Crabs people with there “new” additions

The '27 Crabs brought over an FCA dad as assistant and he brought a few kids with him.
You missed the part where the giant assistant blob didn’t tell anyone they were leaving and basically killed another team in his way out. Heard they did the same thing on their way out of kent island also. Seems to be a pattern. They bought their way into BL also and are paying for other BL tuitions for FCA kids also. He’s the next wanna be rich guy in the MIAA. Good luck to the FCA people that are left. And god help the Crabs people with there “new” additions Popcorn is ready. Love some FCA v Crabs drama
