It is not healthy for Garrison and the other lower level teams to continue to get beaten by the upper level schools. They can compete in the B conference. It is also not good for those upper level schools to continue playing those schools. There is no gain for either school. It’s very clear you keep responding to your own post. No one cares about your opinion I’d bet you daughter is a second string attack player that never sees the field in college. Stop hating on girls that are working hard and leaving it on the field.

Sorry genius. That was not me responding. You are probably the one hating on SPSG. By the way, I am also not a SPSG parent, genius. No hating, just facts. Those teams need to get sent to the B conference. Waste of time to continue beating them by 10 goals or more. Also, Garrison cannot attract enough talent to compete at that level.

I hope Mercy isn’t moving up. That’s all we need is another bad team. The IAAM needs to right size A conference lacrosse. Too many sub par teams, so several A conference teams need to move down, including Garrison. In your eyes, who are the "sub par teams"? You want the A conference to only consist of 4 teams (McD, NDP, Glenelg, SPSG)? Those the only ones good enough to play in "A"? Keep BM, SM, Maryvale, Spalding in A with McD, SPSG, NDP and GCS. Everyone else to B. More than half of bm’s starters were underclassman, including their truly outstanding goalie. Not sure why one poster is predicting for them to implode.

I agree with you. BM will compete next year. They have a good core of players. I agree. I am happy for the former coach as her new job is a big step up in the coaching ranks. She was doing a good job recruiting girls to BMS with the understanding that they would get a chance to play due to a smaller roster, get a great education and have a chance to go to a great college/university. I hope that they find a solid replacement.

BMS, Garrison and Maryvale have an opportunity to recruit a lot of talented players who might be sitting at NDP, SPSG and MCD.

Perhaps they would go to BMS and Maryvale. Disagree with GF, because those players that leave will want immediate wins. Too much to overcome at GF. Plus, GF will move down to the B conference following next season.

BMS will be fine. They have a solid group of players already rostered..... plus some talent moving up in the 9th grade class.

Did your daughter not get accepted into Garrison!! Why would you think after next they will get moved down. They had a strong 2023 and 2024 class (i believe they started like 7 freshman and 2 sophomores), and most likely will have some talent coming in at 2025 and down the line. They seemed to hang tough with teams, just didn't have the depth that other schools currently have. It seems like they have an AD who is looking to improve the lacrosse program.

That will help considerably Unless the “very strong draw girl” has double reclassified and is physically built accordingly she’ll struggle against older girls whose bodies have stopped growing and have spent a few years in the weight room.

Ok GF parent, it is time for a history lesson. This is from pure observance and knowing the sport and landscape. They had three wins today n 2021, got moved down to the B conference in 2020. Look at their historical win/loss record. After you review the history, you will make the same decision that the IAAM made following the 2019 season. They moved them down to the B conference. It is no fun beating a team by double digits every time that you play them. Some of your own parents have said that they should be moved down so that they can compete. Stop dreaming about where they will be in the future. The B conference is their near future.

I forgot to mention that in 2018 and 2019, GF did not win a game!!! That should answer your question. The AD is not going to move the bar, but a good coach may move it. GF does not have the talent or foreseeable talent. Please stop trying to will wins. The other top teams are just going to get that much stronger.

Thank you Lax Guru and your knowledge of HS lacrosse! Maybe you should run for IAAM president! I guess programs can’t change or get better? Maybe they have shifted away from being a national field hockey power to starting a lacrosse program?

Thank you Lax Guru and your knowledge of HS lacrosse! Maybe you should run for IAAM president! I guess programs can’t change or get better? Maybe they have shifted away from being a national field hockey power to starting a lacrosse program? Now we are on the same page. I agree 100% with you about the field hockey team. I know the IAAM lacrosse landscape very well and can speak intelligently about the A teams. GF is a National ranked hockey team, and have an awesome program. Do stop drinking the lacrosse Kook-Aid though. You are in an illusion. They are not a good team and will not get any better. There is not one of the top teams that look forward to playing them. Do yourself a favor, talk to some of your lacrosse parents, and they will tell you that it is not fun getting beaten by double digits. You said that GF stayed in some games. No they didn’t. The score didn’t reflect the game. Most of the GF goals against the top teams came against the second and third string players…fact.

The incoming draw specialist freshman is going to go up against some of the top draw specialist seniors and juniors in the country. That is a daunting task.

Let’s stop the craziness. GF has won three games in three years. Don’t have to be a math or lacrosse guru for that stat. Simply the truth and factual.

awful lot of talk about a 3 win team? How bad will MCD be once the 2022 team graduates? Or GCS 2022 class? Don't really see a stand out team once all of the 2022 graduate! I believe things will be wide open starting with 2023?

Also, why stop there. Let’s go the 2024, 2025, 2026 classes. While we are at it, let’s dream about the 2050 class! Stop dreaming. McD,NDP, SP, GCS, BMS are continuing to build.

UA Baltimore bested in the quarters? What happened to the dream team? Coaching it like the McD team is the problem - one girl does not make a team. Selfish play doesn’t work at this level. Reason M&D 22 has slipped in past couple years. It will happen once the 2022’s go to college too. Feel sorry for those committed to Maryland. They will have to endure it another 4 years starting in 22. I have never understood why all plays funnel through this one girl. And never understood why so many talented players and their parents accept it.

I just experienced a weekend watching the worst display of coaching in my life. Getting a root canal would be more enjoyable than watching those two coach a team again.
