Haha - you mean the YJ 25s on JS team who can BEAT the YJ 24s??? Then again, O'Sullivan almost beat the "top" YJ 24 team. So, yeah. Good point.

The O’Sullivan thing was a joke. We’re you there? People weren’t even playing there positions . But, then they did and won. “Real” game… wouldn’t even be close. That’s too funny

Woman’s lacrosse is an athletic sport. Some of the ‘25 YJ girls have trolls for parents and this is starting to show and will just get worse. Will be fun to see these parents go ballistic when little Sally gets out played by the faster better athletes.

Top Player from TG 23 just dumped UA. Was on the UA roster last night now gone. Still on the AS roster. All 25's followed their coach to UA. Where of course all 4 of his kids are on the team. The 3 2024's that made both UA and AS chose AS. Competition is better at AS this year. Maybe LI can finally win since everyone will beat AS. You obviously have no clue. The top players in the 23 class are all on UA. and obviously the top players from 22. AS made 2 watered down teams for AS.

Um OK. Enjoy your week at AS. However, curious that you are calling UA Plan B when the top 25s from LI are on the UA roster, along with the top 23s from LI. Just finished the UA practice and these girls were there - so even though they appear on both the AS and UA rosters, it is clear where they will be this week (MD and not DE).
But yes, if CR says that AS is the top tournament, then you should most definitely believe it. What other motivation could she have The YJ starting mid field line is on AS. Aren't they considered top 23's? Starting midfield for YJ on AS??? you sure top YJ girls are on AS??? they were at UA today

AS made 2 watered down teams for AS. *AS will be just as good as UA, possibly better for '23s because this is their recruiting year and coaches can watch more of them competing on the same field at the same time. * If you are a top '23, doing either one was totally unnecessary as coaches have already established their tier for recruiting purposes. * It may help some good players who had not so great summers, while it could possibly hut those who are already labeled top tier recruits who don't perform well at either UA or AS * AS is not watered down. The best girls are on the Black team, The Red team is the B team. * There are several top tier '23 recruits on both UA and AS * Looks like AS will have better all-around competition, but both events will be competitive and fun * Good luck to all the girls on both!

I'm just so sick of all of this back and forth that I have no interest in either at this point. It all greedy. Good luck to the girls with the phone calls at Sept 1 because there will be very few because of all of the portals.

Stats absolutely do matter, but so does the team performance. The recipient of the top player was selected for a few reason is my opinion. Her team won the LI Championship, she has mega politics on her side, she is committed to a great school, she was a great player throughout HS, even if this was not her best year, she is a senior. There are a few others that fit most of that criteria, but maybe lack the politics part, such as the Northport girl, who was overall better, but a Jr. You're not paying attention if you think the Northport player is better than the BBP player.. Much better...not even close. Only one problem was she is a Jr. Look at the County and LI championship performances, and you will see who showed up Northport girl only scored in County championship when she was left wide open when the second slide didn’t happen. Not once did she dodge past a defender. How can you compare that to the BBP player being face guarded. This is where stats don’t tell the whole story. Both players are tremendous players but the Senior was far more deserving of the award as she affected the game in far more areas than scoring.

The young lady is not as good as advertised and other girls had better tryouts. Yes if CR was in charge she would have been pushed through, which is exactly what everyone had been fighting against. With that said, politics are again an issue as several Jesters and Elevate girls made through without doing anything either 🤷♀️

Just because you put it in red doesn’t make it true. Calm down joke parent!

They should post the roster before you accept your spot. While a great honor to make the team, you take your spot and then get to see who you’re playing with and realize this is not the strongest team. How do girls that lost to YJ Janelli make a team over girls committed to top 20 D1 schools.

To make the team, you either had to be lights out at the tryout, or play for Jesters/Elevate. The girls who made it from other clubs did so because they were that good, and will carry the team. Seems their are a few sour YJs who are acting like spoiled brats because they didn’t receive the political favoritism they’re used to!

I love the entitlement on here from parents salty that their All-American D1 committed daughter didn’t make UA despite having a meh tryout. Jealousy is a bad look. Teach your daughter to be humble. She knows she didn’t deserve to make the team, leave it alone

The college coaches know these things are run on politics that's why they don't care if you made one of these teams or not.

The point being made is about the adults who are running these things and about being honest and fair! Do you seriously believe all this was done in a fair and unbiased way!? It’s the events/UA fault for having the local directors / coach’s as the sole evaluators. If they are going to do that, they need to make sure all the area clubs all have representation during evaluations. Then, they need to behave like adults, work together and look out for the best interest of all the girls. They can present arguments for their teams girls. A one day tryout is a joke too. Can’t evaluate all those players in a few hours. Kind of why you need to know a little of the girls other lacrosse accomplishments. What used to be a prestigious event, probably isn’t any longer? I think college coach’s do not care about If you were on a UA team anymore? They all know the politics involved

They ought to do this combine-style. Only the top 25 in each catagory can get drafted/tryout for the teams. Its getting ridiculous.

She has a long way to go to start comparing her to the BBP player. Really reaching for the stars trying to compare to the most decorated kid on LI and now the National HS player of the year. It would be better to look at her own age group to compare apples to apples and the UA miss does not help even that argument in her own graduating year.

[quote=Anonymous] Where was the fair and honest system last year? Two club Directors took 20 girls combined from their clubs. No Elevate girls were selected. 3 girls outside those two clubs were selected. Did that seem like a fair tryout? We are not discussing last year, we are discussing this year. So in your theory doing wrong by kids this year makes all right in the world because of the past. B.S. Enjoy your weekend at UA My daughter was selected and she does not play for any of the coaches/clubs affiliated with UA. The coaches have only seen her play against them and at UA tryouts. We don't know them. We've never spoken to them. Maybe the coaches go with the kids they know will produce? Nah, can't be anything like that.

That is impossible, I have read on this site many times that the selections are a joke and you have to be in the friends and family network. The tell me that only AS is a legitimate tryout and that club affiliation and connections do not matter at AS. AS is the only fair process.

AS so legitimate that they made 2 teams??? please stop justifying AS as an elite team. There are girls on YJ’s C team that made AS. the best 22 and 23 and 25 are on UA. 24’s did AS, that’s it.
