Looneys lost the core of their defense, they will struggle. Yep we lost 2 very good LPs but we are going to be fine; reinforcements coming in and will fill the gaps. I expect this team to be in the top of HOCO next spring.

I think that Black Ops (VLC or otherwise) is over, finished up its last tournament a couple days ago. The VLC players are going back to VLC and the BLC players are going on to DC Express, and both teams are trying to grab players from MadLax. But we will not see Black Ops again (if ever) until next year's world series.

I thought the 13U and 14U was just to make up for missing out on 2020 for the current 14U boys.

So I bet we will never hear of Black Ops again. In the 2027 class, NextLevel will probably go on its own. VLC and BLC would not bring enough players to the table for combining to be worthwhile.

1-6 last year. You lose your 2 best poles, and you are expecting to be in the top of HOCO? Is Looney's going down to AA?

2022 Elite Pre-Season Teams? How many teams this year? It is premature to say until teams have held tryouts and finalized their rosters. But I will give it a shot. Here are the ten spring HoCo teams in order of spring 2021 finish, and my predictions on whether they will be in Elite for spring 2022. Hawks - In Crabs - In True - In BLC/DCE - In MadLax - In VLC - In FCA - Out 91 - In Looneys - In, but they're gonna struggle NextLevel - Out 8 teams total Apparently Looneys got a bunch of talent that came in for tryouts and signed on the dotted line. I think they’re going to surprise a lot of teams that are considered elite aka Hawks and Crabs. Its not how it works. 2 years ago Crabs didnt win a game in HOCO, added all the holdback and whammo - at the top. I would say Next Level drops and AAA winner comes up. The rest will stay on reputation alone.

Four 1 goal losses in Hoco and played Hawks tougher than any other team in Hoco regular season. Looneys lost their best pole (best in 2026 IMO) but their 2 best poles? That's up for debate. They have added some talent, including on the D. They still have their goalie. They will be competitive in Hoco elite for sure.

Any recommendations for places that offer training (individual or group) in the Baltimore/Howard County areas for defensive players? Or does anyone know of someone offering something like that privately? Thanks!

But we will not see Black Ops again (if ever) until next year's world series. Black Ops U13 will continue as Black Ops 2026. It will do several tournaments a year using core and guest players as needed. There will be some player movement but most will stay with their respective teams. Tournaments like Vail, Lake Placid, New Years in San Diego. Intended to not conflict with normal club schedules.

FCA will reload as they always do My son plays AA, FCA reached out to us, and several of his teammates, to see if we would try out. My son is not an elite level player. I wouldn’t bet too much money on that reload, at least not this year. Interesting. Will FCA be in the elite division next year?

Expect different outcome than last years results for this upcoming year. A few upgrades here and make big difference in these one goal wins or losses.

As I expected after last year - (never let money go to waste) HOCO is doing a fall league - wonder who signs up or who saves the $$ for tourneys or both.

Many teams reach out to other players way before tryouts.

As I expected after last year - (never let money go to waste) HOCO is doing a fall league - wonder who signs up or who saves the $$ for tourneys or both. With most teams getting together only once a week in the Fall to allow for multi sport athletes to play soccer and football, I would think that the coaches would value the practice time over a game. Especially since all teams will have some roster change.

Congrats Sweetlax. Watched them as well and they move the ball better than any team I’ve seen at that age level. No real weaknesses… size, speed and athletes all over the field. Impressive. Not sure I’d place them at #1 though since LIE has beaten them 5 times in a row, while their only other loss was to the Towermen at the NAL. Just my opinion.

Someone really keeps pushing predators. Predators will not have a 2026 team this year. The plan is for them to have a 2026 team the following year. They will be Koopers 2.0
