This is the 2026 thread NOT the 2022 thread. If you had been paying attention though you would realize that people were talking about M&D tryouts and 2021/22 rosters. The forever 2022 M&D AC and role model for all that is wrong with parent coaches is the AC for the 2026 M&D Red team. And his older daughter will be the HC so there is relevance here.

Three on Green, Two on Black, Three on Pride, and a few on SW. And still the only team to beat Aces, YJ, and Green on the same day. Amazing what a great goalie can do Makes anyone look good Seriously. The Aces team is the same way now. Getting good results with a difference-maker in net and an offense that only relies on 2 or 3 girls. Put a goalie like that on SW Blue this past year and they would have won a tournament too.

So looks like 2 HG and 2 HW on the M&D Black roster? And 1 HG and 7 HW on M&D Red roster? Ouch It will go down in the record books with the 1996 US men’s basketball team.

Ouch also looks like there is a white 2025 hold back on the new 2026 black roster? what is up with that, a hold back year going into 8th grade - really?? hopefully she was playing up all along. at least green's hold back occurred years ago.

Will be very interesting how many actually accept the spot on 26 Red (same can be said for the 27 Red team).

Downright horrible the way the 2026 M&D coaches handled informing the girls. All time low on the depth chart. Despicable. Totally agree! Disgraceful to do that to girls that age. Or, to any age for that matter! Much better ways that could have been handled. Classless They are teachers in their day jobs, really shameful, would never want one of these clowns around my kids. For all of the M&D parents who had an issue with “the nice guy” coach, how do you feel now? I think the majority of you all who have a problem with a coach telling a kid they are being moved down or cut don’t need to have your kids play CLUB sports! They will have to deal with not making a team and other rejections in their lives. It’s a part of sports and life. Just have your kids play Rec and stop complaining about every coach and every team .

Save up since you need to be ready to pay to play at SPSG.

Hang on people, tryouts are almost over and everyone can move on. It would be interesting to see which teams got better, worse or stayed the same. From what I’ve heard (small world). Basically teams that net gained players were up, net lost were down and I didn’t have info on some. Up: Black, Green, Blue, Pride, Integrity, Red (didn’t exist), Coppermine (educated guess, could be wrong) Even/Don’t know: TLC, Hoco, Stars, Redahirts, NEMS, FCA Down: White, MD United, LBC There are lots of soft landing spots for all of the girls regardless of situation.

Limited aid for athletes and hefty tuition That is true. There is no aid for athletes. Everything is need based. But the post said be ready to pay to play which insinuates something completely different than paying a high tuition to attend the school.

Was not there, heard they had limited numbers and know they lost their number 1 player to Black. That’s a big loss, but opportunity for others to shine.

Seems like the point was just that you actually need to pay vs other miaa schools that have booster funded spots.

Yes, it looks like 3 players from MDU are on Black's roster, including the player who took every draw and might have scored every goal in one game I watched this summer. Also with one Coppermine and one Pride on Black's roster, you have to assume those players were in the top 3 players on those teams.
