It looks like Express is a shoe in for the 4th position. They have played the same teams as the Hawks and have beaten both worse. Who knows, maybe the Hawks are the 4th team? Maybe. We’ll know after today. Games are played on the field, not these message boards. Express played their games in the stadium turf. Hawks were on the mud bowl fields. It’ll sort itself out.

As a Hawks parent I will say that Venom is the best team I’ve seen, it was only a half in the rain, but they are good, well coached and play hard.

Weather wreaking havoc Madlax and Hawks both leading in their semi final games before weather hit Supposed to rain all night as well We were waiting for a field and an older Hawks team played a full quarter before being told another team was coming to play. They ended up playing 5 quarters. Should never happen, had to be the tourneys fault since both teams they played didn’t get the memo. Lame.

It was a 2025 game Zero vendors of any kind, no food or water, no t-shirts NLF not winning people over this year. Competition is great, fields and organization not so much

91 was up 2-0, then hawks took a 3-2 lead right before halftime. It was a lot of fun to watch. I would put 91 up in the tier with our 2 Maryland teams. 3 excellent teams

Hawks man down for 10-15 penalties including 2 min non-releaseable. 1-1 at half. Not one penalty called on MADLAX.

Hawks were 1/2 step behind most of the game defensively thus drawing bad penalties against the smaller MadLax attack.

Typical Hawks response: it was the refs.
No- it was a complete beat down. They got frustrated and picked up 5-6 cross checks from behind.
Hawks were beaten in every facet of the game. They are a fantastic team, maybe #1 in the country— but Madlax came to play and dominated both ends this am.
Great players on both teams, it just happened to be Madlax’s day.

Not going to blame the refs. Definitely some mystery calls that threw the Hawks off their game, but credit to Madlax. They did what they needed to do to win.

Great players on both teams, it just happened to be Madlax’s day. Take that beat down noise somewhere else. Hawks parents weren’t in here screaming beat down when they beat Madlax 3 times in a row this year.

It was a great game all around. Both Hawks and MadLax are fantastic teams. The fact that the two teams that went to the finals were from the DMV area is great for all of us.
Congratulations to both teams for phenomenal seasons and for having exceptional squads.

Great win for Madlax against a Hawks team that has t lost this year. Which is an impressive stat on its own. Hawks are a great team— Madlax needed a huge effort, they got one.
Any Given Sunday! Let all these boys enjoy the rest of the summer doing things OTHER than lacrosse, then let’s get back at each other in September! Great run this year Hawks— nice win today Madlax!! Go MD/DC lax!!!

Madlax won 70%+ at the face off x and won the ground ball battle. In great matchups like this one, that’s the difference.

Shame on these Madlax trolls who come in running their mouths about beat downs and garbage. Act like you’ve been there before. Hawks were 32-1 on the season. Madlax had a ridiculous good season. Hawks beat Venom and parents walked away together talking about how we hope they can play against each other soon. Some of you Madlax folks- maybe is Cabbel himself, need to move your range rovers out of the handicapped spots at the humble pie store. Because WE ALL KNOW you’re gonna eat that crow.

To the guy who asked how many even man goals Madlax scored— answer is 6 of the 7 were at even strength. It was 6 on 6 domination. Someone used the expression a while back, “sometimes you’re the bug, other times you’re the windshield.” The Hawks have been getting it done all year, today they ran into a bunch of determined Madlax kids.
Madlax never made excuses for the prior 3 losses, other than losing about 90% of the face offs (kudos to the Hawks FO, he’s legit). Whining about the refs this one is utterly pathetic.
Huge respect for the Hawks kids. Incredible team that will only get better, and very well coached. The dude whining about refs— Makita power hammerhead.

The tape does not lie. 6 of the 7 were even up buddy. Some were delayed P, but the only one man up was from #5... 5th goal of the game well into the second half.
Lot of popping off from Hawks dads back in May, trashing Madlax, the coaches, “how could we let our kids play for that program,” etc.... well, that’s why. Great kids who work hard and have fun. They laid it on the Hawks BigTime on Sunday. The Hawks had tilted the field in their favor the last 3 outings as they’re a bunch of little studs. But don’t gimme this refs threw the game garbage. Total bush league...
Hopefully these kids will get to push one another at HoCo in a few months. Hawks playing?

No Hawks in fall HoCo. As of now…
I’d rather the Hawks play Madlax and 91 Venom 10’times than the competition you’ll see in fall HOco.
