GC JV is at the top...Their Varsity is not as strong this year as you can tell by their record. Pequa not the same powerhouse as in years past. Syosset, South Side, Manhasset, Farmingdale and Port Washington all having strong seasons on both Varsity and JV levels.

Comsewogue is pretty good Chaminade, Manhasset and GC are the strongest. Chaminade? Both their JV teams are pretty garbage. Not sure why they don't have 4 other JV teams with the number of kids they have. Lol. Their sophomore JVA team is undefeated. And the JVB gets better every week. vs Delbarton? An angry and probably delusional StA poster. Its ok. The whole 2024 class at chaimande and SAs is blank$&@ed. Coached by Schwaldo in club or at school or both! Will put them behind.

Really JVA and JV? Who cares. The varsity only matters. Next year and the year after at the varsity level will be leaning Friars based on talent. But you gotta play the games.

Not surprised that the entire 2024 dukes nationals team from all corners of the Northeast made the under armour south team. South players pushed aside by dukes owner who’s son is also on the team. Shameful and obsidian from the beginning. Kids from Illinois made the south team? Half of boys Latin as well

Serious question for 2024 showcases:
Which if any are at last a little more merit based and not as political as there are so many teams/showcases this summer:

Coach was most important as many players were coached by Head coach or assistants. Been political for a long time. Now with players travelling to other regions, the politics is even more of a factor, UA while getting many great players has become what lacrosse in general has at club level...One big Money grab, Not an org promoting lacrosse the right way in the interest of game and players.

Comsewogue is pretty good Chaminade, Manhasset and GC are the strongest. Apparently no one is on here from Suffolk. BBP goes to County Championship and plays the best team on Long Island in the best conference on the island, with arguably the youngest quality team in section 11. Entire core coming back next year. Both JV and Middle school teams go undefeated. Just like the girls side, BBP is here to stay.

Was curious to hear from parents with older boys. Is the Long Island Lacrosse showcase an important recruiting event for a rising a soph? or is it more for fun? or does it make more sense for next year when going into junior year? Realize tryouts start this wk with second round next wk - which some kids will be with their club teams at Naptown and not make the 2nd round tryouts or the Final 50 game. Busy month for kids with Juniors Open this past wknd and Maverik this wk. Thanks.

LI Lacrosse Showcase is more lacrosse shenanigans. Look at who is behind it. If you have the right connections your kid gets a huge leg up as far as making the team. If your kid plays on a top travel team, he is almost certain to make the team. What's sad....a lot of 2-3 sport kids that don't play travel and are better than many of the kids.....don't make the team because they aren't connected. College coaches do watch the games (not the tryout games but the games post tryouts) so it is a decent event. You just can't avoid the nonsense with the travel coaches and aggressive dads pushing their kids to make the team.

Strong Island! Congrats to both teams. It’s a win win. On winning the championships and for recruiting exposure that the LI region as a whole still has the best lacrosse out there. 91 made semis at crabfeast and Express made semis at Naptown too.

Not from BBP, but everyone knows that. Not debatable. Im told that half the Wolfpack team is from Bayport. After that, I’d say it went RvC and SWR. GC and especially pequa not even in the conversation, so stop trying to weasel them into the mix. Look for BBP to compete with anyone this year. My understanding is they lost no offensive players, and have plenty of depth at every position. Goalie position is stacked.

That bbp team for 2024 alone had no size and today still has no size. I’m sorry but they would get eaten up by the defenders of these other schools today. It all evened out over time given that bbp had the head start and stick skills at a younger age because they were on Wolfpack. would say starting in 6th grade you definitely would put GC and pequa in the mix. Commack was good too and probably manhasset being the best. These schools have great depth.

I’m familiar with BBP. I’d agree to a point. Early on, no one could compete with them. By 6th grade a couple teams could but not pequa since their only goal scorer was from Amityville, not Pequa. I also know that most of those BBP kids are late bloomers. So while I agree about size comment, that is changing. We’ll see how much. Still the best crop of 24’s in one town that I know of. Watch out for this varsity team in 2021. They lost no one. I predict they will be a top 5 team on the island in 2022.

Fact check: If Wolfpack is arguably the best club team in the country at this age, over the past 8 or so years, and many of these BBP kids have been starters during that time, why do you think they would be “eaten up” by a group of players that are unarguably far inferior to who they play against?

Wake up call. Those days are officially over. The 2024 group has never been better than average. Depth?? The starters are barely serviceable, so obviously there is no conversation about depth. Couple kids that can play and that’s it. Never could compete with the elite teams in this grade. Unfortunately best kid goes to St A’s. Down hill slide for a once proud program, through at least 2024. GC is in exact same boat, that is sinking fast. Lean on talent and depth. So who will be the new sheriff in town for the next three years??

The algorithm is correct but the quality of tournament brackets is the nonsense. It’s called common sense. Seems that winning and by winning I’ll explain as beating up on extremely less talented programs is important for some programs like true blue. Playing against the Harlem lacrosse club and putting up how many points on these clubs and posting it on their teams Instagram accounts is all the proof this site needs. You can’t beat up on c level teams and tournaments and actually think people believe these ratings are accurate. Do your homework on tourny machine and look at the brackets they compete in!!!!!
