Mad Dogs lost to Team 91 on Monday 7-4 but then beat them 8-0 just before playing the Hawks on Tuesday. Did they bring in different kids?

Guess the Looney's players are still on IR. 91 MD had a better showing at Napptown

Mad Dogs lost to Team 91 on Monday 7-4 but then beat them 8-0 just before playing the Hawks on Tuesday. Did they bring in different kids? Was at the tourney, and it was brutally hot as we all know. 91 was the only team to play 4 games the day before and seemed to run out of gas after a 0-0 first quarter vs Mad Dog on the 2nd go around. That being said Mad Dog is very good and they have really good size at every position. Great goalie. The Champion Stealth team was the most impressive team by far IMO - studs at every position - really zero weaknesses.

They play tomorrow at 8am Will the vaunted Hawks lose two in a row? That would be a disaster! In your heart you always knew your early advantage would go away.

Mad Dog did not play their starters against 91 first game, as game had no impact on who advanced. Nice try 91. You still are awful and will never beat Looneys.

Not a Hawks fan, but it does not matter. The Stealth team that won Naptown was basically a 25 team. Hawks will easily beat Stealth 26 team.

Mad Dog National at Naptown is primarily Texas Oilers and Mohicans. Texas kids who are all off age and mostly 14 years old. There are some on age kids from CA and WA, but the best players are all 14. Mohicans kids not typically on Mad Dog National but played Nap Town because they have 14u WSYL starting tomorrow

They are two different teams but you'd know that if you had the World Series app. Go look it up Stealth South Florida played at Napptown in the 2026 grade based tourney, and is playing 14U at WSYL. Stealth is playing 13U at WSYL

No, it wasn’t a 2025 team any more than the Hawks were a 2025 team just because they have a few holdbacks, but you can believe they were 25s if you need to justify the loss somehow, Hawks dad. I’m sure it was a tough loss but take the L and move on or before you know it your posts will be about how Hawks lost to X,Y and Z teams from MD, NY, TX, Canada, etc, but you’re still undefeated by teams from some random counties in Alabama, so Hawks must still be the best!

As evidenced by play, this program will take anyone willing to pay the fees. Offense is pathetic

Hawks is good defensively bc of their Goaltender; he’s the only reason crabs didn’t win that game!! Hawks defense is definitely a work in progress. Slow and no physical presence at all. Their goalie played his tail off. Their ride got to us as well and forced more than a few mistakes that hurt us. Best Goalie at the 2026 Level, followed by Looney's and Madlax. Then Crabs, 91, VLC, True They are not in the Elite division, but Sidewinders Goalie is a beast. He is right there with the Hawks and Looney's goalie, and step above some of the other ones.

Someone asked if more kids from Mad Dog arrived before Tuesday’s Naptown games. Based upon my Tuesday morning sideline conversations with Mad Dog parents the answer is yes they did. They explained a handful of 25 kids flew in Tuesday ahead of wsyl. Folks were very open about makeup of team. Team was about an equal mix of 25’s and 26’s. Three of the players were 15. All this being said, this is the landscape all 26 teams will be facing from now to senior year high school. It also explains the “if you can’t beat um, join um” spirit of many clubs.

Same thing with stealth with a bunch of 25s/WSYL U14 playing on the 26 team. No matter and the Hawks game with Maddog was great and hard fought. Shadiness is common and I don’t think this loss says much about the Hawks. Going to be interesting at NLF with teams pushing the ethical envelope to get an advantage.

You really think 3 Mad Dog players were 15 years old? They flew in to play in the World Series that requires them to be 14U? And that team decided it wanted to beat the Hawks so badly that they played 2025 15 year olds in order to win? OK! We understand now why the Hawks lost a game.

My reply was based on a comment from someone who said Mad Dog was a 2025 team. Mad Dog not a 2025 team. But loaded with kids from Oilers and Mohicans (playing 14u WSYL) who are far older than on age 2026s. Vast majority of the team is already 14. All the best players are 14 or close to it. And Mohicans kids guest playing only because of WSYL (14u).

Never thought I would see the day that Hawks would complain about playing against holdbacks. I guess holdbacks do impact the game.

I wrote the first above paragraph.
The next above paragraph is on point to what the MD parents shared with me. Most of the kids who were on the team were playing for various WSYL teams as the kids were from all over the USA. Some of them were clearly 26’s while others were 25’s. I am not saying I know kids were 15. I do not know how old they were. I am just saying a MD parent said a few of them were 15.

Those teams have plenty of 13U players playing in 14U World Series because they didn’t bench their older kids. Some 2026 teams decided to play their 13U kids up with the 14U / 2025s to let them all play together, win or lose. Other teams decided they would bench their older kids and not let them play with their teammates. Some even created entirely new teams just to get enough 13U kids on a team. In any case, not all teams are pounding their chests about winning the WS before it even starts. They just want their kids to have fun and enjoy the experience of this special event. Yes, it’s more fun to win, but it’s also fun just to be there with your teammates. All of them.

Looneys peaked last year. Slow downward ride from here.
As evidenced by play, this program will take anyone willing to pay the fees. Offense is pathetic Wow. These are middle schoolers, and they are out on the field in 90 degree heat playing with their buddies. What kind of person would say things like this about a bunch of kids? Get a life man. Really.
