World Series Schedule and Pools are out, any predictions?
Pool A - Hawks, ADVNC, Israel, BBL, Team 91 LI, Stealth
Pool B - Sweetlax, Alcatraz Outlaws, VLC Black Ops, Eclipse, True MN, Prime Time
Pool C - Tigers, SoCal Express, Madlax Monuments, Jersey Express, Northern Pacific, 2Way
Pool D - LI Express, FCA Upstate, Towermen, True IL, Team West, Southern Stars Based on the qualifiers, Hawks, SL, Tigers, LIE win their pools but that is not going to happen. Similar to NCAA March madness you can have a team get hot or an unknown come out take down the bigs. Hot teams right now are Towerman (beat SL and took hawks to OT), Jersey Express who doesn’t seem to back down from anyone and Hawks who grinded out NAL. The unknowns that will be fun to watch are the Stars from the south and the other “all star” teams with monuments and black ops. Advnc won the west and did not fair well against the east teams and true IL who won the central is very good but struggled against the top tier of east coast teams. Biggest question is if a non NY team will win for the time since the tournament’s inception. I’m taking the field with one of Tigers, Hawks, or black ops taking down LIE who has built their team organization around this one event. It remains to be seen if the Towermen that played at the NAL, are the same team that shows up at the WS. Remember, they didn’t actually qualify but got an invite after another team dropped out. It’s quite possible they'll have players missing from this past weekend. Strong lineup all across the board.

Tigers are in a pool with both teams that didnt originally qualify.Uphill battle for Hawks and Sweetlax Looks like the making of the NAL championship rematch. Tigers over Express this time though

Sweetlax lost to Towerman. Tigers have an interesting goalie situation for their WS team. And Hawks are consistently winning by barely 1-2 goals. Nothing is guaranteed going into WS.

The flip flop put Hawks vs Tigers and Sweetlax vs Express in the Semi's . Perfect way to hype up the Finals for TV Remember Tigers won’t have the big lefty middie (still did well at NAL without him, but not as a effective), and will be down a fogo for WS. The ‘27 replacing him at the face off X is solid, but a definite drop off. Without the lefty they’ll never beat Hawks or Express.

I noticed theyve already changed Pool C and D since yesterday..looks like the LIE politics are in full swing WSYL will try and ensure the best final 4 - Hawks, Express, Sweetlax and Tigers - all 4 teams have had close games and the rest of the field is playing catch up Hardly. Sweetlax lost to Towerman. Tigers have an interesting goalie situation for their WS team. And Hawks are consistently winning by barely 1-2 goals. Nothing is guaranteed going into WS. What is the Tiger goalie situation? Towermen sound like they had a few holdbacks at NAL that helped them win a few. Tiger goalies at NAL were not the same that showed up for WS qualifiers. I am assuming the tigers NAL goalies were holdbacks? So is WS team struggling with fielding an on age goalie?

All this talk about Hawks, Tigers, Express and Sweetlax has made us forget that Crabs took their holdback team and didnt make it to the Championship bracket with their older kids.

The Hawks scored more goals and owned almost every facet of the game, but Express are the better team. You can argue about that. What you can't argue about is that Sweetlax is definitely better than Hawks. Not quite as good as Express, but definitely better than Hawks. Hawks could only beat teams by 1-2 goals. I'm not a computer, but I would have dropped them lower.

Yet they did beat those teams, right? 3 of their 1-2 goal WINS were against top 10 teams on your list. #1 on this list LOST a 2 goal game, to the Hawks. #2 on this list LOST a 2 goal game to a team the Hawks beat. Sweetlax has NEVER beaten Express. Express beat the Hawks 1 time. Your logic is hard to follow Sweetlax dad. Express and Hawks are 1-2 or 2-1. Maybe you will get your chance at the WS.

Crabs moving to #5 after being in the consolation bracket is odd.

I am laughing so hard I am crying. These rankings are the silliest thing I have ever seen. Express North went 1 - 4 at NAL with their only win being by 1 goal against a very weak VLC club. Despite this they are still ranked in the top 10. Hawks on the other hand win the Tournament and are ranked 3rd. Hawks are kind of like a baseball team winning the World Series by two runs in game seven against another team and not being awarded the championship based upon how close the score was. Not a Hawks fan, but they beat Express head to head in arguably the toughest tourney yet for 26, period end of story!! LI North situation is like a popular team in the nfl with no injuries that losses 4 of last 5 regular season games by a field goal and fails to qualify for playoffs but is given a discretionary wild card spot because they only lost by a little bit. When you loose 4 of 5 you are not top ten no matter how close the games are. This system is laughable and what results when you try to build a better mouse trap. 😂
Oh, BTW I just heard that Duke is now the 2021 men’s lacrosse champion based upon the strength of their roster. Despite Maryland completely dominating them they are clearly a better team then Maryland and Virginia. In the new ranking it’s Duke, Fighting Irish (based upon their great D), Carolina, MD, Syracuse, and Virginia. Championship bracket doesn’t matter because Virginia lost to Duke, Carolina and twice to the Cuse. Based upon this they cant be rated hire then 5th. Sorry Coach Tiffany, please mail your trophy to Duke ASAP.

Hawks beat LI by 2 goals not 1. It was 10-7 with 5 seconds left in the game when they scored. It ended right after that for a final of 10-8. Seems a bit shady that it is being recorded everywhere incorrectly.

Crabs moving to #5 after being in the consolation bracket is odd. You can take your subjective debate and put it where the sun don’t shine. There’s a reason they count all the games in the calculations for the rankings and not just a head to head match up between 2 teams. You realize it isn’t just wins, it’s the quality of the wins and by how much. Computer takes the data and analyzes it and spits out a rating. And before you go off, I realize the game is decided between the lines. But the ratings make for good banter and give tourney organizers a way to even out brackets. And they use the same type of systems in college football, basketball, hockey and just about every other sport. Yes, the number one ranked team doesn’t always win the national championship. But there has to be some merit to it seeing as much higher levels of sport are using it. At the least, it’s has to be better than Joe LI and Joe MD trying to determine which team “looked” superior. Let’s try to be a little objective, shall we?

Hawks should be #1. LE 2, sweetlax or tigers 3, towermen 4 or 5. Crabs is 5 is debatable.

When a team is undefeated and beat the teams ranked behind them then there is no doubt they are #1. This is itching like college football where the Group of 5 teams go undefeated because they don’t play the Power 5. The Hawks have played mad beaten everyone so you can’t consider anyone else at #1.

Computer polls often don’t match media or coaches polls like we see at the college level. It isn’t a perfect system but it is all we have at this level.
