Because with holdbacks a team is really a 2026/2025 team and that makes a big difference. A 7th/8th grade team age wise comapared to a 7th grade team. Big difference and not equal.

So when the college recruits the holdback are you going to complain to college that it is not fair? Only way to beat the system is to holdback or maybe even double holdback.

A fully grown player/kid is different than a developing kid going through puberty.

So you want puberty instead of grade or age as the cutoff for players? I detest to break it to you but there’s a multi-year range of when boys go through puberty.

Good heavens, give it a rest already with about holdbacks. Both sides bs has been noted. You all sound like women just repeating themselves over and over and over. .

Lets talk about lacroase and whos doing what on the field.

There was no Finals scheduled for that group at the beginning of the week. It was not a game day decision.

Wrong, the Championship game was planned prior to the tournament.

When Towerman changed over to the Trilogy tourney (from Brawl on the Hill), it was agreed upon there would not be a championship game if Towerman vs. Tigers was the final.

Not complaing. I am just waiting to compare teams when 2026 are in Freshmen/Sophmore years when age is irrelavant. My child is not on a top 50 team. When you see player on Team Carolina that my son says #XX had mens legs. They were BIG. Especially bad when a goally gets hurt on a missle from an 8th grader in 2026 game.

Very strange agreement. What were the programs afraid of? You play the game and one team wins and the other losses. That is called competing. Agreeing not to play prior to play begins is darn strange.

I don't know if this is relevant, but given the line-up for 2026 at that event, a Towermen/Tigers final was a virtual guarantee.

Towermen play the Tigers in the WSYL this week, same bracket. They didn't want to play against each other knowing they were playing a few days later.

Towermen will win. It’s their time. Tigers team is not the same that showed up at NAL, the WS version is weaker.

Seems ridiculous to not finish the tournament. Win or lose, just let the kids play the game. For all the parents who always said the World Series is a money grab and not worth playing, etc., it sure seems awfully important these days.

Just my opinion but I think there will be a lot of movement this once the World Series is over. The top kids will stay. But I could see the bottom half of these rosters looking to go somewhere else to get some playing time.

A few teams in need a turnaround... ie, 91, Legacy. Outlaws folded so those kids will be looking for a new home...although its rumored you'll see a bunch of them go to Mooselax. Plenty of kids on bloated rosters will be looking to leave for more time.

Tigers looked like clowns at the opening ceremony of WSYL. Kids wearing wigs and garbage. I get having fun but try looking respectable like the 47 other teams. And how does Hawks get front and center at the ceremony

If my son was looking for a new team he definitely would not be looking at 91,Legacy or the Outlaws, these teams have been on a downslope for the past two years. If you are looking for good COACHING I would be looking at Express, Mooselax, Turtles and Li Lax club.

After their last tournament. Pretty sure this is their last year as an organization.
