Welcome back laxachusetts I'm surprised so few teams for the NLF. The NAL looks like a great tourney! I think a lot of teams take some time off around Memorial Day and then have 2 weeks to practice for NAL which is loaded.

How does Team 91 not have a team in the 26 bracket ? Serious question Because NAL is an invitational, as in you need to get invited.

How does Team 91 not have a team in the 26 bracket ? Serious question Because NAL is an invitational, as in you need to get invited. It’s pretty simple. Machine is playing in the NAL. 91 orange storm doesn’t have enough kids to field a good team without them.

I guess we will see this weekend when they play with just their 2026 kids.

I have assisted in running tournaments. Invitational means the program is specifically invited to play in the tournament. It avoids having a program involved that doesn’t belong. It is definitely not receiving applications and “vetting” them.

Invitational is exactly what it means. Teams are invited by the organizers. The idea that applications are filled out and teams are vetted in nonsense.

Invitational is exactly what it means. Teams are invited by the organizers. The idea that applications are filled out and teams are vetted in nonsense. The semantics are pointless as that still doesn’t mean 91 wasn’t invited. Given the NAL field is as stacked as any 24 team tourney we’ve ever seen at this age, it’s safe to assume they were invited and didn’t accept.

I think people here are arguing over pretty much the same thing here. Either they were invited and didn't accept because they know they can't compete with these teams or they weren't invited by the NAL because they know they aren't good. My guess would be they were invited but didn't accept.

No. They dominate the whole game, against an obviously inferior team, then score on a snipe in OT to win a game they deserved to win all along.

Just wait, more re-classing, more hold backs to come. You could have saved the embarrassment by just coming to the tournament, be humble and play without boasting that you were. Going to smoke everyone. How did that work out for you!
