What’s the tiebreaker if BL LB and CHC are tied for 4th and no 3 way head to head advantage? Record against best teams? Goals against or goal differential?
It doesnt matter since BL LB and CHC are trying to catch Spalding lol

That ship has sailed. Spalding has #2 virtually locked up.

Good question. If Spalding loses tomorrow and St. Mary's and Loyola win, there will be a 3 way for second seed with no head to head advantage.
[quote=Anonymous]Loyola is starting to pick up steam. IMO best D in league. AL dominated the BL attackman DP in a big way[/quote
Its all about the match ups and the style a team plays. Let's see how they do today against the Cards before we get too giddy about one game. My rivalry day picks for this afternoon:
CHC over Loyola: Home team wins. The Dons have lost too many times in a row to the Cards and can't get over the hump. BL over SP: The Lake rebounds from hard fought loss to Loyola and Saturday and defeats the Crussies handily. Spalding over MSJ: This is about finishing for the Cavs. They want to beat the Saints twice in a season as their true rivals. SM over Severn: Severn has been inconsistent (especially defensively) but SM's wants a playoff rematch with Spalding. Gilman over McD: Gilman has gotten much better over the season. They took SM to the matt and crushed SP. Upset: 10-9

Last week was the first time Phipps has ever beat SM, as a player or as a coach. Same for LD. Twice in one season would be really sweet for them. Wow.
Sorta funny how everyone on here talks about SG. They are having a good year - but - seriously - it’s roster is primarily made up a single club team coached by LS. I seriously doubt any of the traditional powers think of them any differently than they would about any other program.

They aren't guaranteed to be in the same half of the bracket. If Severn beats St. Mary's and Loyola beats Calvert Hall, it would be Loyola and SG in the 2 vs. 3 game assuming they both win their playoff games and reach the semis.

St Marys rival is Severn not Spalding. Not sure who Spaldings rival would be. Spalding has to be somewhat competitive year in and year out to have a rival. If Spalding was a band they would be a on hit wonder.

Easy there big girl. Still hurting over your son and his inability to make Spalding lacrosse. Going thru life bitter and angry isnt a good thing.
Spaldings rival is Mt. St. Joe... don’t kid yourself with one good season. Every single year Spalding and St. Joe duke it out to see who will finish at the bottom of the conference. John Carroll added a little bit of a twist to this over the past 5-7 years. Great season for the cavs but let’s not start talking about a rivalry with STM lol. Not even in the same league as them competitively year after year.
Congrats Severn. Your FOGO was amazing and your defense kept you in it. Enjoy this win. We will not let up next time!!!
Agree. Props to Severn who never took their foot off the gas as SM started running Senior Day 2.0 in Q4. Admirals played with a ton of heart. What a great rivalry.

Spalding's rivals are Broadneck and Severna Park.
Maybe they'll play them later if their rivals handle their business. MIAA champs vs. MPSSAA champs.
It was not a coin flip. BL, CH and LB were 1-1 against each other. LB had the better record against higher teams (they beat Spalding) so they got the 4. BL beat CH so they got the 5.

It has been said here before... "Just" winning the A conference championship is not enough for this group. They deserve to be recognized in a broader way. Avenging decades of losses to Broadneck and Severna Park is a good step in that direction. I think we know a guy who can make this match up happen (and sponsor it). We can formally address the showcase touring schedule after the A conference championship but it is not too early to start thinking about it.

Larkin did dominate Petro and they beat an average BL team Loyola Then got outscored by a ton yesterday. Inconsistent
Its all about the match ups. If you're facing a team with only 3 or 4 top caliber offensive threats then 2 top flight poles and a great shorty can stymie them. However when you face more than four offensive threats (see CHC) then team D and defensive depth becomes a much more important part of the equation. If I was BL's OC and planning for LB, I would be running multiple two man games and looking to get my top players isolated on weaker defenders preferably a shorty. I may even entertain running some of my best offensive threats through the box as well. Its about the right game plan, execution, energy and sharing the rock at this point in the season.
New season starts today. Will CH make a run to championship? Flashes of greatness the last few games. Not sure these teams are ready to beat them twice in a season.
CHC needs 4 complete quarters vs Spalding to beat them. Also need a hot FOGO and decent play out of their FOGO. That's a tall order for the young Cards.

CH needs to win today and get pass ST Mary’s before the see the dingers

Cards roll on JC AND StM.
Agree, but that is the end of the road for the Cards.

Someone’s road will end but it won’t be the Cards.
