I’ve seen every single 2028 elite team play this year. Not a SINGLE player, from size alone, stands out or looks much different. There are certainly some players, by ability, that stand out amongst the rest. Are they holdbacks? No idea. Hawks and Madlax kids come to mind. The biggest kids I’ve seen are NL’s goalie, and the big attackman from the Hawks. And I’m fairly sure both those kids are only 10/11.

I think you are proving the guys point - if your kid plays with younger kids - and still doesn’t stand out then....

But by in large I agree with you. Although Madlax has a kid who wears number forty something that is huge and looks like a teenager. No clue the age. Hawks definitely has a few.

holdbacks do influence the game, but not sure how much it matters in the grand scheme.

Parents of kids on age have a valid gripe. holdback are within the rules so what is there do really say?

The only thing I don’t get is what do the holdbacks in 5th grade do when the mass reclass happens in eighth grade? Do they drop back again and enter high school at 16?

There is a kid on True, a defender who is huge, used to be relatively bigger but he’s still probably the biggest horse in the league.

I have really enjoyed this season because there are some really good lacrosse teams in 2028, a lot of parity, and will be a super competitive last 3-4 weeks.

This is pretty good. What do you base this off of? Goals against don’t say that on the poles. I would evaluate the mid defense on some.

How many of you lax dads will be sticking around or showing up early to watch the Hawks/Madlax regular season finale next weekend (assuming both win this weekend)?

Well, if you’re into 5th grade lacrosse- probably the best two teams in the area, top 5 in the country

A team put up 23 goals on a team without a win yet this season. I don't think anyone needs to see the game to know there was clearly a lack of sportsmanship.

The coaches are clowns. Can’t behave like that. Karma is a B.

This is disappointing but it’s Madlax - not exactly the classiest club around.

Large props to BLC but this season has to be a huge disappointment for the kids.

Agreed. Putting up 20 plus goals on a winless team is uncalled for and a complete lack of sportsmanship. Completely on brand for Cabel and Madlax.

This is the Elite division. Not rec.

Madlax had their poles playing offense in 3rd and 4th qtr. Had attackmen playing D.

Had boys taking face offs that never taken face offs before.

Did the score get out of hand? Yes

But still need to play the game out.

Agree. Disappointing and low class. Nobody’s blaming the kids, just the coaches.

It’s 5th grade, completely unnecessary. Kids play the game, coaches let this happen and parents enable it by writing the checks. Sportsmanship is taught at this age, what example were you trying to teach?

I’m sure it has nothing to do with the fact that they are from the same backyard, and one is superior. Always nice to beat your local rivals or non-rival up when you can.

Things have to have been bad for someone to root for the Hawks.

Baseball has a slaughter rule at the rec level. Perhaps that sport is best suited for your daughter.

If you don't think the other clubs would hang 20+ on BLC or any other club in the division if they could, you are kidding yourself.

I didn't see the game, just the score. Completely unnecessary and tasteless. The behavior wont change until the enablers stop stuffing his pockets. Enjoy the big W's now. Jokes on you. Your kid will be replaced soon enough by the shiny new version or whoever flys in for the weekends or tourneys. You probably have 2 years left.

This is elite level lacrosse. Sometimes you win and sometimes you learn. BLC just learned that they should not be competing with the big dogs.

Sorry, your kid couldn't make it with the big boys. But as they say....Hit the Wall. There's always next year.

Fair. We also learned that Madlax has some parents, and clearly coaches, who take out their insecurities and overall feelings of inferiority on 11 year olds.

I would say that virtually every team in the elite division plays games they could win by similar margins over the course of the year given that competition is uneven at many tournaments for this age. No other team but Madlax pumps the score much beyond 10. There are ways not to score. It’s not hard if you have any class.

Ultimately, people condoning this deserve Cabel. There are probably only 4 or 5 kids on the current Madlax team that will be there when in the recruiting years. So I guess the joke is ultimately on them, but what a classless group of parents.

BLC kept this division going unlike Cavs and the others that bailed, which makes this particularly bad.

What we also learned is that there are some parents that would rather give out participation trophies.
