Is cavs playing lacrosse anywhere? I believe BLC has a few of them playing with them this season.

This latest thread is classic BOTC. If your kid doesn't play for BLC, what do you care? And if he does, you should either find a different club or have him start hitting the wall.

So.. riddle me this... Madlax and Hawks are both undefeated. They play this Sunday.... for a 7-0 regular season record and the #1 seed in the playoffs. lost will get BLC, a sure win.
So is it better to play against BLC or get the bye and not play for two whole weeks.
Thoughts?

Agreed. Putting up 20 plus goals on a winless team is uncalled for and a complete lack of sportsmanship. Completely on brand for Cabel and Madlax
This is the Elite division. Not rec.
Madlax had their poles playing offense in 3rd and 4th qtr. Had attackmen playing D.
Had boys taking face offs that never taken face offs before.
Did the score get out of hand? Yes
But still need to play the game out.
It’s 5th grade, completely unnecessary. Kids play the game, coaches let this happen and parents enable it by writing the checks. Sportsmanship is taught at this age, what example were you trying to teach?
This is elite level lacrosse. Sometimes you win and sometimes you learn. BLC just learned that they should not be competing with the big dogs.
Fair. We also learned that Madlax has some parents, and clearly coaches, who take out their insecurities and overall feelings of inferiority on 11 year olds. What we also learned is that there are some parents that would rather give out participation trophies. OUCH !!! Thats gotta hurt.

I give BLC credit, they wanted to be in AAA as did True KP, HLC and the Cavs but they still stuck it out. This will get settled on the field so we’ll see if MadLax is as good as their goal differential says or if the Hawks have something for them.

Help with that goal differential— which means nothing at all because they are going to settle it on the field

Sometimes you’re the bug, and sometimes you’re the windshield. BLC was the bug this past Sunday. Frankly, so where the Crabs (16-2), FCA (12-5), Next Level (7-2), and True (9-5) against Madlax. No one has given Madlax a game yet. Not even close. Duke beat High Point something like 27-7 this year. Must have been bad parenting again in that one.
The Madlax/Hawks game will be a great contest. Hawks went from an average B team to a stellar team during Covid, and how they did it— drop downs from 2027, recruited from other teams— does not matter. The best kids want to play for the best teams. Hawks are one of them.
Note: Madlax hasn’t lost a HoCo game since 2018 when they were 2nd graders playing up, not down, an age group. In 2019, they gave up 13 goals— All Season. These two teams are two of the best in the nation in 2028 (for what it’s worth, Madlax has been soundly beating the LI teams every time out- Legacy 3-4x, Rebels, but have never played LI Express. Likely to happen in MA or PA this summer).

Your only accomplishment is somehow getting largely disinterested adults to root for the group of little kids wearing Hawks jerseys this Sunday. What a joke.

I was worried people wouldn’t be able to come up with anything dumber than the previous posts on this forum. But this guy did it. He is the champion of all dads living vicariously through their kids. No one can touch him. Sometimes people are the bug and other times they are overweight adults leaving through their kids that play for a fifth grade lacrosse team.

I can already predict what the lost will say on Sunday...."result doesn't matter, it wasn't for the championship" or, "we rested our best guys to see the other team's set plays" or, "weather was a huge factor....we never play well in the rain".

It seems to me that they have been fairly scandal free lately, especially in this age bracket.

They detest Madlax because they are GOOD. They detest the coach.
I actually think they have cool social media stuff and attract good players.
They’ll start to Hawks at this age group in two weeks.

It seems to me that they have been fairly scandal free lately, especially in this age bracket. The context of the BLC game was that 3 others teams bailed from Elite the first and second weeks of the season, but BLC stuck it out and played hard even when getting beat every weak. So a lot of people respected what BLC did this year. To hang 24 goals on a team like that is like picking on a less strong kid at the playground for no good reason. Then a bunch of Cab enabler Madlax parents on here defended the running up of the score in an obnoxious way. I don’t think anyone cared about the Crabs score. Crabs are a pretty good club and just played poorly that day. But beating down BLC like that is different and makes Madlax parents look bad for defending it.

Don’t think anyone was defending the score— the Madlax parent was using the Duke analogy to point out that it’s NOT on the parents, it’s not their responsibility, and may have just taken offense to the “clown” statements hurled at them for the lopsided score. Are the Duke parents clowns because their kids ran it up against High Point? No more than the Madlax parents. You dopes missed the analogy. Don’t think anyone defended the score, but rather, defended absurd statements that the parents should pull their kids off of the team (as opposed to “condoning it” as one BLC parent said) when they beat someone 23-4.
As it is, they lost to the Hawks today, so the world of 5th grade lacrosse is back on its axis.
