That’s a decade old dead horse tired of being beaten. Move on.

Looks like you missed the joke buddy.

Or the IG intimidation, or the roster cheating for years in a row, or the wholesale poaching of teams...

Looks like someone's son lost his spot on MadLax. Stop moaning and have him Hit The Wall !!

FCA dad was pretty close on the first two games but laid a big fat egg on the third game.

Troy Park report:

Madlax looks really good as always, FCA looked out of sorts

Caught the end of Hawks/True, guess True kept it close early but Hawks appeared to be scoring at will at the end

* 2nd hand report- Next Level also pulled away late, Crabs led early.

Madlax loooked tough

Definitely looks like we have:

Madlax and Hawks battling for the 1 and 2 seeds.

Then Next Level, FCA, and True in the middle fighting for the 3,4, and 5 seeds.

Then Crabs with the sixth seed and BLC with the seventh. BLC should be given props for staying and competing hard in this division.

This weekend’s slate of games probably won’t affect the balance too much.

Hawks likely to win big over BLC.

FCA probably has enough offense to get by Crabs.

You’d think Madlax would be able to beat Next Level fairly easily comparing common opponents this spring. But NL did beat Madlax this fall. NL has had difficulty generating offense it seems. Only 5 and 8 goals against Crabs and BLC seem low given the players they have. Could be an interesting game if NL can score enough.

Yes- BLC parents have to be squirming, but kudos to them for hanging in there. Been there, it’s not fun

NL has a few very good midfielders. If you can defend well against them, not much firepower elsewhere. Mad lax offense is very impressive off-ball. If NL can get passed True, the 3rd and 4th place may come down to goal deferential. FCA can help themselves by play well against Crabs and BLC.

This came up before in previous years, but goal differential is not the tie breaker for whatever reason. Tie breaker is head to head, win % of teams beat, win % of teams played, goals allowed, and then a coin toss. So if all of NL, FCA, and True finish 3-3 with (and NL beats True), the first three tiebreakers wouldn’t break the tie so it would come down to goals allowed to determine the 3,4,and 5 seeds. Not that it matters all that much since everyone makes the playoffs this year . . . or because this is fifth grade lacrosse and I doubt there’s much wagering of the seeding of the teams.

I’ve seen the Crabs play a few times now. They are a really good team but it seems like they don’t have or don’t play enough kids. It seems like the first group has then up or close at half and they just get run out in the 2nd half. If these were 30 minute tourney games they would be tough to beat.

Agreed on the Crabs. Almost seems like their top tier players should play elsewhere.

They run their offense through four players. If they utilized more of them, they would play better.

This is not made up or taking a shot. Crabs are known for holding back about half the team once they get to 8th grade. At this age it really doesn't matter. There will be enough parents who will make their kid repeat a year of school for a club lacrosse director that it always works out for them by 7h/8th grade because 75% of the team is 2 years older then everyone they play. They will tell you that is their plan. It's not a secret.

Actually sounds like a disgruntled Hawks dad. That makes it extra creepy tbh. Lost playing time? edged out of a spot? Reclassified kids are a norm. Waaaay too many crybabies on here.

I didn’t read above where anyone said anything about people lying about someones age. Sounds like a question you should ask someone personally, but that’s just me. Weird change of topic

Go back a few pages, this has already been addressed by what I’m assuming was a hawks parent. Hawks added 3 5th graders (and a coach) who had been on the 27 team. these kids are 11 and are summer 2009 or 2010 bdays. They also got the pick of aa county in tryouts including a few kids from the botched Mesa takeover in severna park. The hawks team also had close games and lost to Next level in the fall with this roster and have improved with time, not additions. For those of us with older kids, get ready for much worse from the rest of the elite teams. The quality on the field for this age group is solid, try not to ruin it parents.

Hawks have some summer bday players, who are all in 5th grade, legit 2028’s and have been since they started school in kindergarten. They aren’t cheating, Hawks organization wouldn’t allow it. Hawks are known for many things, but cheating isn’t one of them - that reputation belongs to other clubs.

Correct. Let’s not ruin it folks.

Actually looks like Maryland might have the Top 2028 teams over the NY teams as of right now. Be nice to keep it that way.

Never said cheating. Parents from hawks teams putting other kids down and lying about ages. That's wrong.
