#23. Southern Stars won the South Regional this past weekend and #8 7 Flames went 1-3, so don't put too much stock in the rankings. Correct. Don’t forget that these rankings are based on the performance in the fall of the 2026 teams which include holdbacks that are present on most of these teams. Good point. Agreed this ranking has very little credibility. The teams on this list will be much different than the teams that show up for the qualifiers. You can look at the rankings and see the higher the rank the more holdbacks and the more the team will be different at the qualifier.

Does anyone know how they decide the number of teams that qualify for July from each Regional. Assuming East and North will have more spots given the number of teams that are entered. Compared to the Central qualifier where only 3 teams signed up.

Compared to the Central qualifier where only 3 teams signed up. The website says that there will be 24 teams. With low turnout in the West, South and Central as well International teams being unlikely, I would imagine more from the East and North advancing.

South had 5 teams - guessing top 2 get in. Central has 3 teams - guessing only 1 gets in. If West has 10 and 4 get in that leaves 17 spots between East and North assuming no international teams. How many teams are in the East and North regionals?

Unknown talent this year for WSYL. At this point it is not clear how teams stack up against each other because every comparison so far has included holdbacks in the equation. After the qualifier we will see who has what.

Best guess: West 3 South 2 Central 2 International 2 (Israel and Iroquois) North 7 East 8 Central only has 3 teams playing in qualifier, they should only allow 1 to advance. Dont know about Canada, they will probably have a few. It is their National Sport.

I am sure we'll all see them and their roster of mostly 14 year olds in the summer. Has anyone ever played the Kings? I have only ever heard them mentioned on here. Is there a Boston and Colorado Kings?

That's what the other teams that are bowing out because they are too old should have done. Go "play up" even though it wont be playing up at all.

Crabs parents are good sports about it. You can tell them to their face and they put their head down and walk away in shame. I'll give them that.

Not sure what you mean by "legit," but as a Dad of a team that played the Crabs in the fall, I would say that their incumbent face off guy is pretty legit too.

Here are the updated COVID-9 Field guidelines (March 12, 2021 5PM Update). •Players and officials are required to wear masks when walking to and from the field. •Coaches are required to wear masks at all times. Also, bleachers are open for 50% capacity! At last common sense prevails. https://cdn2.sportngin.com/attachme..._Field_Guidelines_Updated_03-12-2021.pdf

WSYL rankings have Hawks #1. Fact! LI Express #2, Tigers #3, Sweetlax #4 Towerman #5 . Hawks #1!!!!! Rankings are bogus, they are based on past performance which includes holdbacks, rankings did not take that into consideration. These teams are losing anywhere from 3-5 of their best players once they show up for qualifiers. Don’t be surprised to see these teams fall short.
