List is outdated . Many teams are there for last few years results. A 10 year old could have made up this list.

For Maryland, BL is way overrated and where is Loyola, and Spalding, two better teams than BL. StM and Gilman are even better than BL this year.

Haverford is a shell of a team of yesteryear, yet it is on there.

Winning is good for making good alumni. Losing is good for making excuses. Time for the lacrosse teams to battle. Good luck.

The days of local talent for winning Championships are over for the most part, You need to bring in some talent as CH has demonstrated the last few years. BL is getting in on the program with their recent dorm purchase and renovation, McD has picked up bringing in talent in their dorms instead of for so called academic students, like some brainiac will help win a MIAA Championship. Matter of time before others get in on the out of state players or rebel and change the rules. Doubtful they change.

There is nothing wrong with people sending their kids or moving to a location for school. If you can better the chances of success for your family, why not. This is America snowflake. Its how we got started- land of opportunity. We have great schools here, are well located, and yeah, great lacrosse. I say go for it schools- market to the country. Baltimore is least is winning at high school lacrosse (if not much else).

Last I heard there were rules that expressly forbid what you are suggesting.

This is High School sports? Not some college teams . Whats next ?? Drafts for different MIAA schools competing for players for hire?

There are zero rules saying a kid or family can't move. What I think you are confusing is a family can't fake an address like what happened in DC in a number of sports and even in their performing arts school.

Correct! This has been happening for decades and won’t stop because some envious helicopter parents on an anonymous forum don’t like it or think it’s unfair. Local talent in this league is stronger than ever and the backbone to all these teams. What is fairly new 2015 till now is the digital world and the club programs gaining ground and competing with top national clubs. Clubs have more than ever taken kids that show up or invited to tryouts in 7th-8th grade from out of area which allows for high school coaches to recruit them. Video has allowed even more content for coaches -

All teams make the playoffs in the MIAA this year. Not a misprint. Regular season is meaningless except for seeding. Spaulding will finally make it. #Dingding

No matter what Spalding does , the parents of boys that didnt get invited to play will find fault. I predict a final four with possible Ship. Heard it here first.

You do realize that Spaulding has no more haters than any other school. There’s a blend of trolls and Spalding parents making all of the comments. Parents that are bitter or like drama... and trolls because, well they’re trolls. Would actually be nice to see some new faces compete for the championship.

Spalding will win the MIAA. The win over Malvern makes that very clear.

They will make history.

1) No one is invited to play at Spaulding. Kids go there because they know they will ride the bench at St. Mary’s.
2) It will take decades for Spaulding to even get to .500 vs Severn or St. Mary’s.
3) Once daddy Lids and National Champion (cough) Brendan Kelly’s kids graduate - they will move on. Money will dry up and Cottle, Petro and all the other bells and whistles will go away.
4) This whole thing is about money and the egos of a few middle aged men - none of them really cares about the school or the program. They don’t even know how to spell the school’s name.

Will be interesting to see the wheels fall off as the “movement” rolls on...

Predictions for tomorrow....

Spalding 12 - Severn 8
Severn needs to go 70% at the faceoff to keep it close.

CHC 15 - Gilman 11
Gilman goalie will keep it close. CHC offense will be too much, but can the defense hold Gilman to single digits?

Boys' Latin 9 - Loyola Blakefield 12
Loyola wins despite not having a lot of time to gel. Dons are one of the most complete teams in the league.

McDonogh 15- MSJ 3
A twelve goal margin is a win for MSJ

St. Mary's 9 - John Carroll 4
Saints win easily despite lack of offensive firepower.

0-0 in Conference games. Which means they are tied with every other team.

CH overrated or Gilman underrated? Definitely not impressed by the #1 team in the country. They looked undisciplined at times, no dominate FO and a very weak midfield group defensively who got run by all day long. It will be interesting to see how they match-up against higher quality teams; I think their reign ends this year.

CH hasn't gone anywhere. It was their first day out and they still won. Gilman added some goals late. They still have more talent than anyone in the league by a mile.
Gilman is better coached than they have been in years. But young. Team to watch.
Spalding is much improved. Team to watch
Severn is about the same.
McD is about the same- still some inconsistencies. But in the hunt.
MSJ is young and building culture.
St Mary's will be tough to score on. Will be in the hunt.
John Carroll is improved.
LB will be up there with CH and MCD for the title.
BL a ton of seniors and talent to be a team to watch.
St P building culture with new coach.
Should be a real competitive year in conference.

This season will be an anomaly. All teams make the playoffs and virtually no out of conference games.
